Palworld10

Is palworld a ten... No. But the idea that people are scoring this less than an a 8?!? Is absurd and there should be push back. Palworld 1.0 is fantastic. The difference between the beta and 1.0 is staggering and for 30 quid?!? Critisms... Leveling and resource acquisition can feel a bit soggy around level 50 and and a lack of music in places feel a bit desolate but on the flip side, you can give a monkey an assault rifle. Is palworld a ten, no, is it worth 30 quid? Hell yeah it is.

Elden Ring Nightreign10
Jun 25, 2026
Nightreign is fantastic at what it tries to achieve. What it is not trying to achieve is being elden ring 2 or a "roguelike" Nightreign is the attempt at boiling the fromsoftware RPG down to a 40 minute run. It's mission structured and has randomisation to keep things interesting, it's not a central mechanic. Fair criticisms would be the tutorial **** and the secrets **** but personally these are minor gripes when the moment to moment gameplay is so addicting. Nightreign is not for the fragile, if you can't handle other people's decisions you'll probably have a bad time. I've generally found in a thousand hours you get more good runs than bad but whether you like Nightreign will be down to how you handle other players and the time mechanics, if you fundamentally don't enjoy multiplayer games or time restrictive games, it's probably not gonna be for you. Personally I think it's the most creative "souls-like" to date and I think it's a real shame we live in a world where people struggle to conceptualise a spin off so they blame the creator rather than their own ignorance.

Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows9
Dec 8, 2025
I'm a big fan. New maps great with loads of secrets and new POI's, new bosses are great, new characters are great and it cost less than £15. For a little side project which didn't get the resources it deserved, I think **** and his team should be proud of what they created in such a short amount of time. Nightreigns biggest issue is peoples unrealistic expectations.

Crashes if you change buttons in the tutorial. I swapped the "contact your partner" button and it hard crashes at a certain point in tutorial (I did it twice, it's consistent). Now for what was released as a finished game this seems like a pretty silly oversight. The egregious part is the 45 minute intro you have to repeat when it does crash. for a finished product years after release this is unacceptable.

I've just stopped playing at the final boss and I can't begin to express my disappointment. I've put hundreds of hours into the first one and was really looking forward to this, it was some of the reason I even got a ps5 in the first place. My biggest gripe is the stingy scrap amounts they give ya. I finished most of the game in single player with my starting weapon and armour set because the amount of scrap they give you even for bosses is insulting, so I couldn't even experiment with other weapons (half the reason I loved remnant 1 was it's original weapons). For every good boss there's another that relies on a "challenge" gimmick which consist of one shot grab attacks, restricting movements or restricting your vision. Too much of my playthrough just reeked of artificial challenge. I stopped playing on the final boss because it's basically just fighting Godfrey's second phase in elden ring with arena wide Aoe's but instead of reasonable damage they were killing me in seconds. I'm giving it a 5 because there were some good bosses and was enjoying the beginning but the more it went on and the more it just wanted me to grind for peanuts the more I started to hate it.

Just got the platinum and gonna hammer PvP till FS release more content. Best mech game that's ever been released hands down, the controls and visuals are as smooth as butter even on ps4, the boss encounters have that FS magic of seeming impossible at first but the more you attempt them the more you see the patterns. Building my mech in the shop was more fun than expected when I started getting deep into the stats with great variety. The biggest crime this game commits is there just isn't enough of it. If you don't like fast paced, frantic action then this is not going to appeal but if you can get past the skill cap and fast pace there's also a story in here which goes surprisingly deep. In a year of great games, this is my game of the year easy.
