Star Wars Battlefront II0
Nov 14, 2017
Absolutely trash. This isn't a game, it's an illegal gambling system that goes through enough loopholes just to slip past regulations in the U.S. This is ridiculous, and I think that a boycott is in order, and that Congress needs to investigate this matter. Games like Battlefront are literally encouraging kids (and adults) to gamble. Stay far away.

This isn't a game, it's a 60 dollar virtual slot machine. STAY FAR AWAY from this "game", and it's time to shun all publishers who shoehorn literal gambling into videogames.

Star Wars Battlefront0

It's abysmal. Sure, the graphics and sound design are pretty, but the game reeks of EA's corporate greed and obvious contempt for paying customers. Here are some things that were in Star Wars Battlefront 2, a game that is a decade old, that are not in this game: Space battles, a singleplayer campaign, anything from episodes 1-3, balanced spawns, and an actual chance to use the heroes. And for a price tag of $120 for the "ultimate edition" is disgusting. I hope that EA loses its monopoly on the star wars franchise, or else the dark side has won.

Call of Duty: Ghosts5
May 8, 2015
Call of Duty: Ghosts offers nothing new to the increasingly homogenized modern warfare shooter genre that is the standard for today. Played Modern Warfare 2? Good. You do not need to play Ghosts. I'm going to break it down into 3 subjects: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Extinction. Campaign: Absolutely pathetic. The setting jumps around the world every mission with no reason or cohesion. You start out in Outer Space. Bing! Now you're in San Diego. Bing! Now you're in South America. Bing! Now you're in the Antarctic Ocean. Bing! You're back in space. The story is about 2 brothers and their dad, belonging to an elite commando unit called the Ghosts. I don't remember any of their names because that's how poor the characters are. The campaign is shallow, and meaningless. Don't bother Multiplayer: They really tried with this one. Ghosts follows the same twitch shooter mechanics as its predecessors have. Unfortunately, many of the components such as Perks, Gun Attachments, and kill-streaks are unnecessarily complex and confusing. you unlock things through an equally confusing currency system, akin to Black Ops 1. This Xbone version suffers from framerate drops on some of the maps, and it just looks ugly. I can only recommend this if you REALLY love Call of Duty. If you don't, you'll be fine playing Modern Warfare or Black Ops. Extinction: It's a pretty cool idea, but like the multiplayer, it is overly complex when it doesn't need to be. People love **** Zombies because it is only as complex as it needs to be. You can delve into the more complex stuff if you want, but if you just want to blast some zombies, you can do that too. However, Extinction also has its own economy relying on points, and there are weird objectives and strange objects in the environment that don't need to exist. It's a shame, really. Extinction is fun for a bit, but lacks the lasting value of **** Zombies. In conclusion: This is NOT the next-gen call of duty experience. It is simply a mediocre game at best. I only recommend it if you find it at the bottom of the bargain bin at Best Buy.

Halo 48

It's a good game, you should buy it. 10/10. It's an even better game if you have a bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos and an ice cold Mountain Dew next to you. Why do we have to charge so much for maps, yet have these extravagant marketing campaigns? Who cares? Doritos! Mountain Dew! OK, OK here's the serious verdict. It's a fun game, and it's HALO! I'm not a huge halo fan, but I very much liked Halo 3. I feel like this sequel is a bit underwhelming considering how great Halo 3 was, but this game still has much to offer and is lots of fun. When this game came out, I didn't like it. Now, in 2015, seeing how homogenized the shooter market is with our annual Call of Battlefields and their shameless copycats, how naive of me to hate on this game. People should look at this game and see how unique it is, and there should be more games that stray from the norm.

Dungeon Keeper (2014)0

Unbelievably horrid in its design and intentions. This is not a game, it is a social experiment to see how long you are willing to wait 1 square (a pivotal game mechanic) to be dug out before buying into the experiment's fake economy. Shame on EA for ruining one of the greatest games in history, shame on EA for being a BILLION dollar powerhouse and still having the gall to charge microtransactions, shame on EA for its interference in rating this game on the iOS/Android markets. Stay very far away.

South Park: The Stick of Truth8
Apr 15, 2015
This game is a fantastic, wise-cracking, video game trope mocking, charming experience, even with the presence of giant aborted **** fetuses. If you aren't a fan of South Park, than this isn't a game you should buy. But for everyone else, you get to experience a whole season of South Park, and you are the main character. It has plenty of fart jokes for the immature, and deeper humor for the immature with good taste. From using poop nuggets as a weapon, to deeper jokes mocking overdone video game cliches (such as **** Zombies and finding Audiolog collectables), it will make you smirk. Loved characters from the series, both main and supporting, show up. You'll become Facebook friends with all 4 leading boys, Priest Maxi, Al Gore, the Prince of Canada, and everyone in between. The only negative aspects of the game is its appeal to only those who enjoy South Park, and its little to no re-playability. There are no class specific weapons or abilities to justify playing it again as a different class. I was a "Mage", but ended up using mostly melee weapons to knock the crap out of some of Cartman's humans. However, it is a great piece of work that will make you laugh maniacally while you explosively vomit with disgust. I absolutely recommend!

Dark Souls9
Aug 15, 2014
You better be prepared to die. Dark Souls is brutal: one screw-up can negate hours of progress. However, the reward for triumph is amazing. Nothing feels better than plowing through an area that killed you 10 times, or finally defeating that towering demon boss. Don't be deterred by the naysayers: This game will punish your mistakes, but it can be mastered and beaten. The story of Dark Souls is minimal. Most of it comes from lore, dialogue, and little details. You are a cursed undead, and must find a way to break the curse. However, fate has given you another calling: and that calling will challenge you to the limit. The world of Dark Souls is beautiful and immersive. See that giant tower off in the distance? Often times, if you see an area in the background, you will end up going there. The game starts out somewhat linear, but soon enough the massive world is at your fingertips. Unfortunatley, some parts of the game struggle with major frame-rate issues. It's not game-breaking, but can get you killed if you aren't careful. But other than that, Dark Souls is graphically impressive. The Combat system works very well. Every class can use every type of weapon. You don't need to be a wizard to cast spells, and you don't need to be a knight to wear heavy armor. It is a system that lets you choose your own way to fight the brutal enemies the game throws at you. Multiplayer is refreshing and exciting. You can choose to invade other players' worlds, or you may be invaded yourself. The invader and the master will duel to the death: and the winner will be greatly rewarded. If you love RPGs, go pick up this game. If you prefer casual FPS games like Call of Duty or Halo, still go pick it up for a new, brutal experience. This is a game that I think should not be missed.
