This game is difficult, slow, tedious and I love it! Very immersive experience that makes you feel like you live in this world.

For a 20 year old game, this is fantastic. The shooting mechanics are still very, very good! The remaster is very bare bones tho. It's like they did the bare minimum to push this out the door. I played a lot of Gears on my Xbox 360, so being able to play this on my PS5 is real cool. I bought it for 50% off ($20) but I still feel like I over payed for what I got. They should do a solid remake of the Gears 360 Trilogy. This feels a little undercooked.

Clair Obscur is phenomenal! It's one of THE games of the generation! If you're tired of sequels, remakes and remasters, look no further! This is a 10/10 masterpiece that you should absolutely experience if you're into games! I'll start out with the bad, cuz it will be very brief. The game has a steep learning curve. At first I felt like I was in math class and failing, cuz there's a lot of pretty complex combat elements that you need to take in consideration to master it. I had to play around 12 hours and watch 2-3 hours of YouTube tutorials before I finally understood combat and the game really clicked with me. But after that, I was all in, and very happy I stuck with it. The story, characters, world, setting, music, acting, is all AMAZING! And it's also very funny. Even tho I was bad at it at first, the combat is also fantastic! Cannot recommended this game enough. Worthy winner of game of the year 2025! Can't wait to see what Sandfall Interactive cooks up next. Best soundtrack in gaming!

Ghost of Yotei

"Disappointment" is the one word that best summaries my experience with Ghost of Yōtei. This is not Ghost of Tsushima 1.5. This is Tsushima 0.5. Tsushima was SP's rise to prominence. Yōtei is their fall from grace. After playing it, I hope they won't make a third one. I feel like SP completely misunderstood what made Tsushima special to fans. It's basically TLOU2 all over again. This is one of the worst sequels I've ever played. Everything but the graphics feels like a step down from Tsushima. Which really is a shame when you think about what could have been. They had such a good thing going with Jin Sakai and his story. Why trade that? For THIS? I can't see why they would want to tell this story with this one dimensional character. It's not all bad, I have mixed feelings on Yōtei. The game is fine, even very good. But as a sequel to Tsushima, it's terrible. I can't tell you how many times I had to pause this game and sigh in frustration because of the experience of Atsu, the story, the exploration and the combat, which is much more punishing than the first game. Why, oh why would they retire Jin Sakai for Atsu? This game feels like bad fan fiction. It's like SP looked at TLOU2 and said: "hey, if we do that story in our game, we'll surely win game of the year." (Yōtei wasn't even nominated, mind you.) THE GOOD: • It controls great and feels amazing to play! • Combat is very, very fun! • The horse is responsive and feels good to ride. • The place and setting. Ezo is a perfect place for an open world game. It's a no man's land, sort of Japan's answer to the Wild West. • You can go after each one of the Yōtei Six in which ever order you like, (mostly,) but I do feel like the game heavily hints that they should be done in a specific order. • Very impressive from a technical perspective. • Atsu can get drunk and this is by far the best drunk simulation I've seen in a game. • The mini game with coins; Zeni Hajiki, is very fun. • Fast travel and load times are so instant, I don't ever think I've seen a game load faster. Seriously very impressive! • Just like in Tsushima, the photo mode is very, very well made. THE BAD: • The writing and characters. • The very predictable and boring story. • Atsu. She's a one dimensional character and a step down from Jin Sakai. • Erika (Atsu actress) is not very good. Her delivery sounds bland and flat and is a step down from Daisuke (Jin actor). • Boss battles! Very frustrating and unfairly punishing. A serious step down from Tsushima. I don't understand how they f*cked this up. • Who thought adding guns in a samurai game was a good idea? • The art direction in Tsushima is so beautiful. In Yōtei it's boring and "realistic". Such a downgrade. • I miss some of Jin's ghost weapons from the first game. • Too repetitive. • The climbing is really outdated and clunky. • The open world feels like a collectathon. • The open world is not connected. It's split into sections you can fast travel in between but you can't go from one end of the map to the other. • Atsu is too much ****, to the point where the character and story just feels unbelievable in this setting. (It's a video game, so I don't expect 100% realism, but again, this is a step down from Tsushima.) • In Tsushima, Jin became the ghost through out the story. In Yōtei, Atsu is already the ghost from the start without becoming, or earning it. • I like the music in Tsushima better. • The game honestly feels too long. • SP promised player choice would be a big deal in Yōtei, but it's not. Don't expect Witcher 3 level of morally grey choices you have to make. (It's like instead of having the option to answer 'yes' or 'no' to a question, you can answer 'yes' or 'yep'. Not very impressive tbh.) • A part of the map is very snowy and cold. Characters are still dressed for summer and spring tho, and it breaks immersion. • In Tsushima the mongols destroyed the shrines, so Jin had to climb them. In Yōtei, Atsu also climbs shrines because reasons. (They give zero explanation for why the shrines are destroyed.) • Same goes for Atsu's ghost abilities. She just has them because reasons. They don't bother explaining why. (In Tsushima Jin didn't become the ghost until half way through the game. But Atsu is magically the ghost from the start and she already has a ghost ability, because she is a girl boss and girl bosses rule. End of explanation.) 7/10 and a step down from the masterpiece that is Tsushima. Yōtei, ultimately, feels like a soulless sequel.

Amazing game with great gameplay and great story! AND; the amazing Valhalla DLC is now in included in the game and it's an amazing 15-20 hour experience in and of itself. Probably the best DLC I've ever played for any game!

I’ve only played around 3-4 hours of this game, but I’m not playing anymore! This game gives me motion sickness and eye and headaches. No other game has done that to me. On first sight this game looks like it will really deliver, but to me everything feels off. Camera and controls feel clunky. Combat is confusing and way too hard on normal difficulty. Story and characters is nothing special so far. The graphics and the world looks really cool, but the game just feels broken to me. Don’t understand the hype. Luckily I borrowed this game from a friend. If I would have payed for it I would beserioualy pissed ‘cause the game isunplayable to me.

This game has some major highs and lows. (No spoilers ahead). The good: The world looks and feels amazing. The world is “real”. Very well written characters and a good story. Arthur Morgan is fantastic and very well acted. The graphics already feel next gen. The bad: Terrible controls. It’s sluggish and it feels like enemies move faster than you and like they have the upper hand. Even though the world is so open you can do anything you want, playing like a bandit and wrecking things the GTA way becomes extremely punishing. While you can perform robberies in any store, it is often not a good idea to do so since this game will punish does acts more than it rewards them. You’re almost forced to stay on track and be a good sport if you want to move ahead. Outdated mission design that feels last gen. The story is good it goes on for too long and parts of it feels unnecessary. Horseback riding is a drag and there is almost no fast travel. You’ll end up riding around A LOT. The ugly: I actually like the controls and mission design of GTA 5 better than RDR 2. And GTA 5 was released by the same developer in 2014. Verdict: Very memorable game, but it comes with some major gameplay frustrations which makes what could have been the best game ever made feel like a remaster of a PS3 game which is already outdated on release.
