The Death of Stalin3

I tried several times to watch this movie from start to finish but could never bring myself to do so. It's a movie full of satire that I grew weary of watching because it never delivered anything funny or emotional or thought provoking.

Look, I like a good thriller like the next guy, but this was a whole lot of nonsense bound by a thinly veiled story line. I MADE myself watch this whole movie because I expected with all the "good" hype, it had to get better ... but it didn't. Sadly, I can't figure out how to get these 127 minutes back ...

A nice film with a good storyline but a little too slow and film noir for my liking.

I, much like the lead character in this movie, never quite made a connection with what is supposed to be the plot of the movie. Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie, but I never felt like the character relationships were believable as they were portrayed which was made more difficult with the "gritty" storyline.

The Martian9

The fastest 144 minute movie I've ever seen! With just enough science to make it believable, enough character development to feel the heart strings tug, enough humor (surprise!) to break up the "heavy" subject, I feel this could be the best, if not one of the best science fiction dramas ever made.

SPECTRE8

As part of the Daniel Craig quadrilogy as James Bond, Spectre is almost as good as Skyfall, definitely better than Quantum of Solace, and every bit as fun and good as Casino Royale. As a standalone movie, it offers a good storyline that offers a mix of actin, adventure and emotion.

Heavy on "style", low on story, character and dialog. It's one of those movies that at some point, you decide you're going to continue watching even though something inside you tells you it's a waste of time.

For children, this movie offers cool special effects, lovable characters all wrapped around a basic science fiction adventure. For adults (and mature teens), you get all of the preceding plus a subtle reminder that as parents and adults, we have certain social responsibilities for our children.

It was funny, just not funny enough to keep me entertained the whole 90+ minutes. Opening was cute, setup of plot was fun, but after that, it pretty much headed downhill and only had a few laughs in a couple of places. In places, it seemed as if they were trying to stretch the movie our as gags just kept going and going with no real progress on the story.
