**** many repetitive scenes. There are a smattering of good fight scenes but they don't justify sitting through the whole movie.

Anyone who played the game will enjoy this movie. The whole theater was chanting Mortal Kombat when the trailer played. The casting is magnificent.

Avatar: Fire and Ash6

It just more of the same. The director is running out of ideas and the antagonists have superficial motivations. The ending was anticlimactic and felt like it was setting up future movies. This movie easily could've been an hour or more shorter. We were all prisoners of James Cameron's hubris.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning6

Way too long. Needs to be an hour shorter. I miss the tongue in cheek vibe of the other movies in this series. Tom Cruise is getting older and he is slowing down a bit.

Captain America: Brave New World4

Completely bland and inoffensive. Barely 2 hours long but it feels much longer. Disappointed with the current trajectory of Marvel films.

Incredible movie! Probably in the top 3 movies I've seen in the last year. An emotional roller coaster. The monkey CGI is seamless.

Hugh Grant had a wonderful performance as did the young ladies. Enough twists and turns to keep you entertained. A couple convenient plot holes keep it from being a ten but it's an ambitious film. The movie theater was sold out and packed which is a rarity these days.

The real trap here is getting **** in to watching a 2 hour long commercial for the director's daughter's music career.

As a devout DnD player I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It is also an excellent movie for the general population. That brings it to the next level. I went in with high expectations because of the positive reviews and I was not let down. This movie obviously was a labor of love.

In the Earth3

First off: the warning is no joke! If you have issue with seizures sparked by visual stimuli do not watch this movie. I don't have any issues and it was painful to sit through that. Now, the movie. Thoroughly average movie that should've ended 30 minutes earlier than its current run time. The rest of the audience mimicked my pain by checking the time also as boredom set it. The movie had potential but it gets lost along the way. The professional review score is too high and subsequentially misleading. Pay attention to the user score which I am sure will be more representative of the movie's actual entertainment value.

Monster Hunter3
Feb 28, 2021
Yes, this movie is as bad as everyone says it is. The only good thing about it is the monster hunter tie in and that it's only 90 minutes long. The pacing is totally off. The first half of the movie should be 10 minutes long. I lost count how many times the protagonist was knocked out and tied up. If I never hear the word chocolate again I will be happy. The movie seems like it could've been good but it was destroyed in editing and post-production.

This is a terrible movie that has no idea where it wants to go and has zero respect for the aurdience's time. The best advice I can offer you is to go to a spoiler type of review and get the full info on the movie's ending before you watch it. It is that bad.

I Used to Go Here9

A brilliantly honest performance by Gillian Jacobs and a supporting cast. They bring such a believability to their roles. If you look at the t-shirt Gillian's character acquires halfway through the movie that says "The future begins here" then you get a feeling for the lesson this movie is imparting.

Gretel & Hansel3

The best part about this movie is the run time of 90 minutes. I should not be bored at 60 minutes. The narration is completely unnecessary in the movie. Plot holes are distracting to the viewer experience. This is a watch for free on streaming service after there is nothing else on your list type of movie. Don't waste your hard earned money on it. I will give an up for some solid visuals but its too little, too late.

I am still trying to process this movie but I do know that it is great! It is refreshing as a movie goer to have a director take me somewhere unexpected and be genuinely entertained. I seriously think that word of mouth is going to take this movie in to huge box office returns.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle8

I had a lot of fun with this movie. It was a pleasant surprise as my expectations were low going in. Both the kid and adult actor played their roles well. The villain was one dimensional and shallow. Kevin Hart was my favorite.

Bright10

This is an outstanding movie. I have no idea where the professional critics are getting their review scores from. Perhaps my palette is not sophisticated enough as an average joe. The story is ambitious, the movie is well-edited around a gigantic plot surrounding modern day elves, dwarves, humans, and orcs, and I enjoyed the Jakoby Orc police officer's performance thoroughly. He shared the screen with Will Smith who is a consummate actor and he rose to the occasion. Good use of occasional SFX that complemented the movie. I would definitely watch Bright 2. I will give a negative to the first half hour...I did not think they would be able to pull all of the strings of story together. But I stuck it out and I was glad I did.

Glad I read the user reviews and decided to see this movie. Blown away. The entire theater including me were on the edges of their seat. The pacing of the script was perfection. Nobody got up to use the restroom. The casting of the supporting cast and pulled me in to the movie. I mean Jeremy Renner was amazing but so was everyone else as well! Must see!

The Dark Tower4

I wanted to like this movie. It was a tough pull to swallow when i could not. I followed Roland's adventures in the books and this did not capture the spirit. Idris Elba was the one bright spot....hopefully his next role will James Bond.

Atomic Blonde9

I had a lot of fun in this movie and the rest of the audience seemed engaged as well. There is a lot of depth and curveballs in the script all the way to the end. And they are appropriate twists in the script that keep you on your toes and fit in the movie. The protagnist Lorraine makes a believable undercover agent and uses realistic fight moves for someone that is fighting higher weight class opponents. I recommend you limit your bathroom breaks as you may find yourself falling behind on the movie.
