If you're a fan of the First Class series of X-men this is worth a watch. Sure it's not groundbreaking. Definitely not as good as Days of Future Past, but much better than Apocalypse. They kept up the solid characters and has some of the best action SFX scenes in the series. Even after seeing all the bad reviews going in I still liked it.

This thin, invisible thread draws you along, luring you into a dream you weren't expecting to have. While it's easy to focus on the stellar cinematography, it is the narrative, the lull of the sad feeling of longing that remains. The longing for that which has been lost, that which cannot be, that mystical connection we seek when it becomes difficult to hold back those tears another day. That is what the Long Day's Journey Into Night is. Let yourself be absorbed and take in every beautiful bite.

This movie definitely surprised me. From the trailers I thought it would be an awful cheesy kids film. While the movie is family friendly it really has an adult message at the core. Let's say it's the first animated film that made me think about the structure of the plot and the motives of each character after the movie was over. Now that's worth something.
