Watch Dogs: Legion10
Nov 1, 2020
Approached as an Immersive Sim, Watch Dogs: Legion works incredibly well, and is a great deal of fun to play. Use the gameplay systems and intelligent level design to your **** can play pretty much the entire game as a shooter, or using stealth - but the game really shines when you leverage the recruit system and mix up your gameplay. You can use all gadgets with all recruits, and while it's nice that you have the freedom to do so should you wish, I'd suggest bringing to the table some roleplay - only use certain gadgets with recruits that make the most sense...roleplay each character according to their own backstory, moral outlook and initial skillset, and the game becomes even more interesting.

I'm loving the game so far...have spent almost 30 hours in-game. I'm playing on Hard difficulty, and have spent much of my time above recommended level, and that's without doing many of the optional timed quests, and without spending any money on micro-transactions. I don't get many of the comments about ****'s not like a MMRPG where you need to go and pick fights with random packs of wolves, NPCs etc. just to level up. The timed mini-quests & bounties can be repetitive and are very simple (sometimes I've had quite literally the exact same mini-quest dialogue from different NPCs) but there are plenty of actual side quests which are generally interesting, and so far I've found no issues with **** absolutely no grind has been required in my own experience. For reference, I'm relatively new to the series...played the original AC when it came out, but wasn't keen on the mechanics and gave up a few hours in...Origins was my first real AC game that I experienced in full.

This DLC is excellent; it does exactly what it sets out to do, and it does it well. A new workshop building set, in a new location, all driven by a new questline.

Ignore the negative reviews from people who wanted it to be something else; as a workshop-based DLC with quests, this is a worthy addition to the game, and I for one am very grateful to have such a DLC.
