I don't get it??? I can only assume that the people who rate this game so hightly are only playing the first half, or just mulling around... and if that makes them happy then more power to them. The issues for me is that the game DRAGS on, and isn't all the willing to let the player know what they should be doing. It tends to want the gamer to ffigure things out, which I'm all in favour of in most games (well thats not true, I like the know what the F I am ment to be doing tbh) but when the world is so vast and challenging to travesre then I find the gaming experiance to be more frustrating and not fun and challenging. Each room has its designated respawning enemies who are more of an annoyance, put there to slow the player down and bother them, apposed to being an actual threat... yes I had fun with combat for the first half of the game, but when you are sent on fetch quest and artifact finding missions, the novelty of the combat wears off and the more I played the more I notice the "bullet sponginess" of the enemies, I mean even poison mushrooms took more the one shot the put down. I gave up playing this game at the last boss called Metroid Prime as it was far to choir-some for me, I mean I thought the basic enemies took the piss to kill but the last boss was too much and I realised I was only playing for the sake of seeing the credits that I would have skipped anyway. Fan base is very loyal but also very small, most people have given this game a miss or dropped out of playing not long in. It has GREAT graphics, even for 2025 and I love the controls and how the game handles, no other FPS plays like this. It uses only on analog, and then uses the trigger buttons for X/Y camera movement... it may sound like it don't work but it dose, very well, so well that the platforming is maybe the best part of the gameplay. Worth a look for sure, I've given it a 4 but could be a 7 on a better day.

God I cannot stand this game, I keep uninstalling it from my hard drive, I forget how much is **** and re installed only to quickly remember that the game is awful and bland, its a modern game for modern gamers. If feels like AI designed this game, its so paint by numbers... Zombies - CHECK Crafting - CHECK Open world - CHECK Stamina Management - CHECK Fetch Quests - CHECK "RPG" Elements - CHECK The issue is that game is so slowly drip feed to you its hard (for me atleast) to keep motivated to play more, weapons are awful and break after a quick scuffle with a zombie. I cannot stand RPG elements, I love RPGs (pokemon being the greatest one of all imo) but in most games now it means that you have any and all abilities stripped away until you've logged a week of gameplay to unlock the skills. In this game you have to unlock the ability to slide while running. Dead Island is far more fun and enjoyable.

Pretty good point and click adventure game, really good if you give it a chance. I was abit unsure about this game to start with as it was (like alot of modern games) very text/story heavy at the start of the game, which alot of games don't justify. I wasn't till about the second planet that I began to really enjoy this game, and started getting into the story. Gameplay is pretty fluid to, not to many menus to navigate. Very enjoyable.

I'd have loved to enjoyed this game, but it was so "story and dialogue heavy" at the top that I couldn't progress. Its an issue that I have with most modern games, namely they want to tell a story rather then giving an experience. I cannot stand needing to sit thru bad comedy and over winded text bases speeches, every game I play now seems to have me put the gamepad on my knees for the first 30% of the game. Graphics look good.

Dead Space 34

Worse the Dead Space 2, its the same old trope... Walk down empty corridors till you enter large "empty space/area"... Cue the cheese grater violin and take on a wave of enemies that even Smash TV would think is excessive. Simply put I've go to chapter 18 and don't know why I'd done it to myself, might finish, might not.

A great game from my teenage years, I was really suprised that I'd like it back then but it certainly left a mark on me. its a mix of resident evil and silent hill, with a hint of the 1999 film The Faculty. Its brim filled with tons of late 90's tone and vibe, I'm so happy to see this game is getting the love that it miss out on all them years back.

Typical modern day game, Looks outta this world with amazing visuals, gameplay itself is pretty good, 2-d side scrolling hack and slash, with a stamina bar to contend with. However I'm about one hour in and I still feel like I'm in the tutorial section... Text boxes on screen, explaining how to **** eggs... Why do game devs feel the need to explain the basics of gaming while leaving the things that should be in the tutorials out??? Explaining how to jump with a highly intrusive text box isn't needed, but if you feel to reinvent the wheel and call 'health pick ups' something like 'zen blessings' then this is something I need (or would like to) know. OVERALL. It's a good game, a really good one but PLEASE can I skip all the silly egg **** lessons that games now have, they have ruined many a good game.

8.5 rating??? Sorry no, i'm sure its got is fans but it seems more likely that most people "play" this game for 5 mins and never look at it again... Epic store is FULL of walking simulators and this is just another one.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands8

Really enjoyable game, I say this as a fan of the series since playing the first Ghost Recon on the Xbox 360. I love how the weapons handle and that enemies are not bullet sponges, the open world is cool however I did find myself getting annoyed with the amount of "traveling to way point" moments.

Alien: Isolation10
Nov 28, 2022
This is a one off experience ****, its not perfect even thought I'm giving it a 10. Many of the comments and complaints here are more then valid, however it really is one of the very few games that can be called horror (just youtube Alien Isolation reactions). Sadly many games with the title are really more 3-d snuff games. Visuals are unbelievable, if the game was released this year I'd believe it. That said it is brutally hard (even on normal) and does drag on a little too long for its own good. So much so I found myself hating the game in the end... It wasn't till a week or two later that I came back to change my verdict as very few games have left me thinking about them after beating them.

Yet another modern day "Story Driven" game... I'm not up for this anymore, videogames shouldn't be used for wannabe screenwriters to cut their teeth, sure have a story but I'm getting sick of pressing start the first time I play a game only to instantly put the control on my lap.

Wolfenstein: The New Order6

Gameplay can be really good, but I just kept finding that I had tons of weapons that held very little amounts of ammo, not helped by the fact that you don't auto pick up ammo leads to tons of tedious deaths. Worth playing thought as there is fun to be had when the game lets you.

Its a 5-6 hour game which I don't mind (I actually like short games), but in all that time the sword does not SHUT UP! Never in a vidoegame has someone spoke so much and said so little, and it really gets to me, his nasally sounding voice commenting on everything, even when I'm try to read messages he'll be there with "Oh no, this can't be right..." I'm there like, "I've not even read the first line you donkey". Graphics and gameplay are all fine, combat can be a little hard and I'm not sure if I even want to finish it.

Control6

This is going to have to be a that I put away without completing, which is something i very rarely do, especially if I have gotta as far in as I have with Control (The Face of the Enemy mission is where I tapout). I might end up finishing but its hardly a game that has kept me hooked to say the least. This game manages to tick many pet peaves... *Pointless weapon upgrades that make me laugh... Check. (2% damage increase, 5% off weapon recoil) the amount they drop is ridicules, and you'll soon run outta space. *Pointless collectibles... Check. (TONS of them too, I can't tell you how many "classified docs" i pick up) *A game that fells like it what's to be a movie... Check. (every character delivers there lines like a hammie actor, instead of saying "okay, I'll go now" you'll get "Okay.................................................................. I'll go.............................................................. now..................................................." with more less every line of dialog) *A map that confuses people more then it helps... Check, and i know that I'm not the only one with this issue by a long shot, just google it. I just couldn't go on sadly, don't get me wrong it looks amazing and damaging the environment is very cool.
