This was much better than Us. I came into this movie with very low expectations and I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Some people are saying that this is a masterpiece. Nope... it's most certainly not one. But it's definitely not bad by any means like some others are saying. I've seen a lot of alien movies, but I respect how incredibly unique this was. That's rare. The creature looked dope AF! The design was fantastic, and the concept was really good. I would say this creature is now one of my new favorites when it comes to original and creative alien ideas. There were some funny parts, but I feel like they had a funny scene or a specific thing, like "nope", and repeated it multiple times knowing it would get laughs. Whoever did the cinematography did really well! I loved the cinematography. I enjoyed the characters for the most part, but many were sort of lacking. They're not very memorable to me. In these kinds of movies, I don't know if "memorable characters" really matter, per se, because the entire point is the alien. I still liked them tho, especially OJ. He was my favorite. The pacing at the beginning for me was kind of slow for a bit and they added some things that, to me, were kind of irrelevant to the story. It didn't feel like 2hrs 11mins, but I feel like they still could have made it a tad shorter. The plot was... meh. Not anything too exciting or motivating. There were certain things about the alien that didn't really make sense to me. And a few things that were figured out by OJ that made me think to myself, "how did he even figure that out?" Other than that, I rather enjoyed this film, especially when I thought I wasn't going to like it because I didn't really like Us. Anyway, this was a creative, unique, and well-rounded movie/story and if Jordan Peele continues in this direction then I'm sure to enjoy much more of his films.

Wow, wow, wow! This movie was amazing! This gave me huge sinister vibes, which makes sense because Scott Derrickson wrote and directed Sinister as well as this. I absolutely enjoyed Sinister so makes sense why I would enjoy this. I loved the vibes of this movie, even the colours. Loved Ethan’s performance. Mason and Madeleine as well! Loved how it had some Karate Kid vibes. I’m not very scared of horror movies, but this made me jump a couple times. I was on the edge. I didn’t like the Max character, some things didn’t make sense and I wish they explained the actual black phone, but other than that it was very good. I would have enjoyed it even more if this film was even a little bit longer tbh. I feel like it could have had a tad bit more character development. But I will certainly be watching this more than once.

I am beyond traumatized. Why is always countries outside of the US that make the best movies? This was pretty good! The cinematography was amazing and artistic, and holy frick, the acting from the kids was phenomenal. These children should get awards. It made me completely uncomfortable throughout the whole movie, which is a good thing. This is the type of horror I love. It's sad that these are very rare nowadays. This movie had a lot of disturbing scenes so prepare yourself. I was watching it with my girlfriend and we had to turn it off during the cat scene because she did not like that at all, lol. They really did Aisha dirty though. She was the best. Anyway, this was a great film overall with a really great concept.

The only decent qualities of this movie was Kevin Hart's comedy, Woody Harrelson's presence and some of the fighting scenes. The plot was weird and boring. No memorable villains. And I felt like I was just thrown into something that I basically know nothing about. Very underperformed generic action movie. A lot of things were blatantly fake, like explosions and fire, and when you see them driving in the car the green screen is painfully obvious. I did enjoy some fighting scenes, but one of them had horrible cinematography. They would do weird cuts that were obvious. It's as if a newly graduated film college student edited this movie and did the cinematography. There were also parts where Kevin Hart would get shot or severely hurt, but then 2 mins later he would be fighting or moving as if he never got hurt. What pissed me off the most though, as a fellow Canadian that's from Toronto, is when they mispronounced Toronto... I understand for the American characters, but Woody's character is supposed to be from Toronto and yet he also mispronounced it. Did they not have any people from Toronto, or at least Canadians, to help work on this movie? Not one person told anyone how to properly pronounce it? It's not the biggest deal, but it made me dislike the movie the most. I cringed so hard when they mispronounced it. That's just my personal bias. Like I said, I understand why the American characters would mispronounce it, but not the Canadian characters... They filmed this movie in Toronto and they still failed to pronounce it properly. That is just disrespectful, in my opinion. Anyway, I digress. I thought I was gonna like this movie, but I ended up very much disliking it. I probably will never watch this movie again LOL

The ending, to me, was genius. I had fun watching this. Nicolas and Pedro had great chemistry. I don't many cons. Overall, I liked this movie. 6/10, light 7. They did Sonic, Knuckles and Tails PERFECT. I LOVED Jim Carrey as Eggman, again. Except for some super cringe parts he did. But there were many parts that took me entirely out of the movie. No spoilers, but there was a specific wedding scene that was completely unnecessary. It was so pointless. It turned into a rom-com in the middle of the movie. I just don't understand why there needed to be a random love interest, let alone 2 humans that have nothing to do with Sonic. Also, the whole parent thing with Tom, Maddie and Sonic was, in my opinion, super unneeded. I wanted Sonic and Tails and Knuckles. Show me more, in-depth, of Sonic and Tails' friendship. There were some other super cringe scenes that I didn't enjoy and 2 pointless characters, but the 3rd act was amazing. Made me enjoy it even more. Children will definitely enjoy it. I am still looking forward to a 3rd Sonic movie. I hope they focus more on Sonic and his world/friends rather than humans. I don't care about humans anymore.

This movie was amazing. Almost perfect even. This was the best Batman movie ever, in my opinion. Robert Pattinson was an amazing batman. (It's funny, he went from a vampire to a bat lol) There were only little things I didn't like about him, but those things didn't ruin anything for me. I loved him overall. He is one of the best Batman's I've ever seen. The Riddler was PHENOMENAL! Perfection! One of the best, if not the best, villains I have ever seen on screen. Jeffrey Wright was born to be Gordon. Performed perfectly. Movies like this, and 2019 Joker, are what I've been wanting to see for a long time. I love the dark stories as if it's real life. I'm sick of all the kiddie superhero movies. I want the dark stuff. I want the passion and the real love for movies and making stories that make you feel on edge. 2019 Joker and this Batman did exactly that for me. I truly do hope they continue down this road with many other DC villains and heroes. There were only a few things I didn't like about this movie, but I heavily enjoyed it overall. A few cringe scenes. I think Colin Farrell did a perfect Penguin, it's crazy how much they changed his appearance, but the character just didn't resonate with me personally. I didn't feel a connection with that character. I also did not like Catwoman. I heavily recommended this movie. I will be watching more than once for sure. 8.5/10

I did not like this movie as an Uncharted fan. I kind of enjoyed it as a regular action/adventure movie, but I'm quite the critic so that's probably why I disliked it much more than normal people. Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg were terrible castings. Tom Holland is NOT Nathan Drake. He couldn't even try to sell it, even as young drake. Horrendous. Mark is just a painfully obvious bad choice for Sully. It's frustrating that they chose these two people. It seems like they chose Tom Holland just because he's popular. He didn't give me Nathan Drake vibes at all. I also hated that they made Tom seem very dumb many times throughout this film. Nathan Drake isn't a genius, but he certainly isn't dipsey dumb like a stereotypical blonde. Dude can remember and reiterate historical events and knows geographical areas where treasure could be for thousands of years, but then doesn't know about an earpiece or says obviously dumb things??? That makes no sense. They seem to do that with Tom Holland in many movies, like spiderman. I don't get it. It's overdone and boring. I will never watch this movie again. I really hope they remake it properly. It seems like companies don't put their passion, love and soul into movies anymore. Should have had someone who loved Uncharted passionately to help make this movie. Some scenes were cool though. Some scenes were extremely implausible and it seemed like they were just made so they can slap some "amazing" CGI. I called this happening when they announced this film.

I very much enjoyed this film. I thought it was going to be woke garbage like they've been doing to movies and shows lately, especially remakes, but I was pleasantly wrong. The nostalgia made me so happy, but it didn't just rely on that, even though it technically had to. It successfully attempted to make its own story that held itself up without the ghostbuster crutch. Favourite scene was when the little marshmallow men were wreaking havoc. OMG, it was so funny and they were so cute! I loved Paul Rudd in this. He played his role very well. I also liked most of the actors. Podcast was one of the biggest highlights. SO funny! Now, here are some things I didn't like: I wasn't a big fan of Phoebe. She sort of eventually grew on me, but she was quite obnoxious. She seemed way too rude for my liking, but she didn't ruin the movie or anything. It was still enjoyable. I also didn't like how there weren't many different types of ghosts. They had some big scenes of nostalgic ones, but others were shown very quickly as if they were trying to rush the 3rd act to end it. I don't know if they're making a 2nd film, I don't think they necessarily should, even though I wouldn't be mad if they did, but there were very few ghosts in this. I also wished all the kids were teens, like Phoebe and Podcast, but again it didn't ruin the movie. Overall, I enjoyed it and I would definitely come back and rewatch it.

i actually quite enjoyed this movie. It was pretty decent. The special effects were surprisingly good and the shark looked amazing. I loved the idea of Megalodon. I watched it in 3D and there were actually some really good 3D parts. Better 3D movie i've seen in a while. *spoilers* Like the part where the shark bites that ball and a piece flew at you, it made me jump. A lot of decent jump scares as well. I enjoyed the storyline and they didn't try to set up the ending for a sequel because i feel like this is good the way it is. One and one only. There were a lot of funny parts as well LOL like DJ was super funny and Meiying was pretty funny when she was telling DJ to shush haha. There were some parts, though, where the acting was a little off putting like, for example, when the shark bites the glass when Meiying was playing. Her acting when she got scared wasnt believable to me, though she is a kid, but also when they ran to her the acting just seem super weird like as if they often see HUGE bites all the time. i dont know how to explain it, but either way i still really liked the film. Decent video shots and there was some good actors/actresses in it. Jason Statham was a weird pick, but i must say it still worked. The film never bored me and there were really some good killing scenes where the sharks eats people in cool ways. I definitely wished the shark ate more people when it found all of those civilians swimming. It was still a decent film and i enjoyed it. Not something i would see twice, but fun nonetheless.

I didn't fully like this movie. I feel like there were way too much silly and comedic scenes that felt like filler and most of them didn't hit for me. Venom and Eddie Brock, for the most part, had such annoying and pointless scenes together. It was very strange. In the first movie, they flowed together, but in this movie, their presence seemed forced. It felt like they put most of their attention on Cletus Kasady/Carnage and forgot about Venom/Eddie, so they threw some scenes of them together because it's their movie. LOL! I felt like the plot wasn't done fully, but I loved the love story between Cletus Kasady and Shriek. They should have expanded more on that and made the story darker with light comedy. If they made a movie with only Cletus Kasady, Carnage and Shriek, I would most certainly watch and love that. I still think this movie should have been rated R though, or at least 14A. Nobody can convince me otherwise. I must say, Carnage was amazing. The design and scenes of him were fantastic and I just wanted more. The final fight, for the most part, was really dope. Some parts in the movie didn't really add up or make much sense. There were also many cringe moments. I was really disappointed at the very end though, after venom and carnage fight. It felt rushed and unneeded. Overall, I enjoyed the first venom, story-wise, more than venom 2, but I enjoyed the fights more in venom 2 than venom 1. I would probably watch Venom 2 again maybe once a year or so, only because I'm a fan.

I rewatched this movie because I thought I liked it, but after watching it again I remembered that I hated it. I haven't been seeing people explain why this is such a terrible movie, but here is my reasoning as to why this movie is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I love Keanu Reeves, but why would he even accept to be in this utter trash pile? Not only is this movie unrealistic to the fullest, but it's actually supporting the toxic ideology that men cant be r*ped, or taken advantage of, by women. It's making the women seem like their actions are in the right when they're the ones that decided to spy on Evan, Keanu Reeves, and take advantage of him. They are not morally in the right and the fact Eli Roth makes it seem like they are is extremely dangerous. The predictability and acting are terrible, even Keanu was not good, and, as I mentioned before, it is very unrealistic. You will never ever convince me that a person who is Keanu's size can not physically dominate 2 people as small and weak as the girls in this movie. Even if a person Keanu's size was hit unexpectedly in the head by these girls and tied up, they would not, realistically, cry, plead and whine the entire time. It angered me that Keanu accepted to play such a pitiful character because realistically a person like Keanu would end up finding a way out and would end up killing these girls. That's why it's shocking that they ended the movie with these girls winning. There was absolutely no plot. All they did was relay a clear message that these girls were the "good people" in this movie. Also, the scene when Louis comes in, the guy picking up Evan's wife's sculpture, and finds Evan tied up, was stupid and it seemed to just downplay a man's intelligence. Because realistically no one would care about a sculpture being damage more than a literal person tied up and visibly cut. He left Evan still tied up because he was more concerned about an object... That would never happen. This movie would have been immensely better if Keanu actually escaped, even after being tortured quite a bit, and killed those 2 women. Instead, they clearly wanted to promote misandry and sexism. I am convinced whoever wrote this script is either unethical beyond belief or they're intellectually slow and don't know how to make a movie.

The people saying this is a bad movie is incredibly wrong. I understand people's issues with it saying "it triggers anxiety easily", because it does, but that was the point. I appreciate a movie that makes me stay on the edge of my seat the entire time and this movie did just that. Yes, my anxiety was off the wall the whole movie, but it was supposed to be like that. It was showing how anxious and hectic Howard's life was. It put you into the movie and made you feel what the movie, and people in it, felt. That is true talented cinematography, directing and storytelling. That is what they should be doing. This movie was a masterpiece, in my opinion. Yes, before you watch this movie, if you have or get anxiety very easily, you should 100% prepare yourself because you will go on a very crazy ride, but don't say this movie was bad because of that. I didn't like the ending much, but that doesn't change my feelings on this movie, that just makes it even better. It made me dedicated to this character. In retrospect, he was such a ****, but I still liked him, cared for him and felt bad for him. After the ending, I felt a huge relief and a weight off my shoulder, in a way, that the movie was done because it made me so dedicated to it. I loved this movie.

I was hoping to like this movie, I love Harley Quinn, but they went way over the top to hate men and it was annoying. They made basically every man misogynistic and stupid, and they just HAD to have a scene of a dude trying to seduce a girl nonconsensually, and then another girl comes to save the day and beats the guy up. LMAO! Incredibly cliche. Movies like these are always bad. You don't need to put down another gender using feminism to make a good movie. You can easily make a good movie whilst having feminism. Why do you think Wonder Woman did so well? Because it wasn't all in your face "girl power". It was, this is a powerful human, who happens to be a woman, who knows she's powerful and kicks ass, as a superhero does. She didn't need to prove it at all because we already knew. I loved Harley, she was almost perfect, but the other characters were the ones that were really trying to 'prove' their power unintentionally, it seemed. And they ruined Black Mask. I ended up walking out at the scene when Black Mask and his crew tries to ambush all the women. Such a disappointment.

The movie isn't that good. It tries so hard to be superbad and it utterly fails at it. I love Jonah Hill, but his sister tries to be like him so bad it's obnoxious. It's unrealistic to the point that it isnt even funny. And i'm not even gonna start with the excessive feminism, like just make a movie about girls if you fancy female led roles, but why do you have to constantly remind us and shove feminism down people's throats? Also, a lot of things that happened in this movie like literally made no sense.

An utterly phenomenal horror. Definitely one of a kind and was able to make it it's own unique taste, which is very much enjoyed. From the immense emotion put into this film to the slow psychological torture the audience are having to endure is what makes it such a masterpiece. I am constantly on the edge of my seat no matter how many times I have watched this film, which has been at least 10 just saying. I am extremely in love with horror so I hope for more unique films like this.
