Beautiful visuals and details, great cutscenes. But too many technical issues make it incredibly annoying to play through it. I had to disable HDR and play with the controller WIRED, but that only reduced input lag and audio stutter on PS4PRO. Combat mechanics range from ok to mediocre. The story was ok interesting the 60% that I played, maybe it gets worse later, many people seem to complain about it but I avoid spoilers. For me it was technical problems added to some levels that drag for too long without any addition to the story that made me abandon it because it was just not fun to play. The first episode was groundbreaking, this one looks nice but it's a flawed game. EDIT: I hate leaving games unfinished, so I completed it. Sadly, after going through it, I have to say that the only things to save is the graphics, combat mechanics and a very bad story undermined the good reputation of the first game.

Same old game: scripted seasons, players uncontrollable on loose balls, defenders glued to attackers backs on long balls with no hope of controlling them... The Football gaming badly needs a 3rd decent game to put an end to this FIFA/PES yearly scam.

It's unacceptable to sell a 25£ "full" game that's actually a microtransactions scam. You start with no decent players and after hours of season gameplay it unlocks only a few crappy players. The game is designed to trick you into buying coins to unlock the players. Absolutely disgusting.

A great scifi shooter, super smooth gameplay, awesome battles. The story could have used a little more depth, but overall a must-play

I was suspicious about a prequel with no time warp feature, but this game proved to be a great addition to the main story, providing an interesting backstory with good game mechanics.

Amazing game, highly artistic, breathtaking story, good gameplay. The proof that even with a basic engine and without fancy graphics you can make a masterpiece.

The Journey is a good addition, so are the improved training and the use of Frostbite engine, but before adding any new feature, EA should prioritize fixing the many defects this series has been carrying across each version, mainly its general unresponsiveness and abuse of scripted events. The excessive focus on aesthetics over gameplay is taking FIFA back to the point that years ago made many players prefer PES's approach to football gaming.
