Dune: Part One6
Oct 22, 2021
A beautiful, but underwhelming movie. The pacing just felt off. Some scenes seemed rushed, while others felt too long. Character development was lacking as the main focus was on Paul. This made it hard to connect with really any other character. The ending was…very disappointing and anticlimactic. Everyone knows this was a setup for part 2, but until that movie comes out, it is not fair to score this any higher than a 6/10.

Overall, a great horror movie to watch. The plot was solid, even though it tended to get slightly predictable towards the end. The lead actress was great and helped carry the story. This movie is not going to blow you away, but I definitely recommend streaming it one night!

A predictable, yet still somewhat entertaining story. Don't expect it to be a horror movie as the only "scary" parts were mostly the cheap jump scares. The acting was up and down at times, but I did think Madison Iseman was solid throughout. As I said before, the plot is fairly predictable, but it does keep you guessing at times. However, the ending was probably the weakest part of the whole story. Overall, it's a nice movie to watch only when there is nothing else on TV.

This one surprised me but "Eli" is definitely one of the stronger Netflix horror movies. The first half seemed to have a slower pace compared to the second half. However, the story itself was fascinating and kept me guessing up until the last scene. Acting was overall solid minus a few moments with the kid actor. Music and atmosphere were also solid. Some of the jump scares were predictable if you've seen enough horror movies, but the interesting story makes up for that. Overall, I would recommend "Eli" to those looking for a nice Netflix horror movie.

Super predictable plot. They needed to add in at least a couple more twists or something because I could imagine that most people could figure out what's going on within the first 30 minutes. I did appreciate the eerie atmosphere of the hospital. Other than that, this will likely be another Netflix movie that most people will forget about in a day.

The best thing to do is to go in with nothing on your mind. Ignore the critics and try to forget any trailer that made this seem like a normal superhero movie. It's not. It plays with your expectations on how it will end. The acting is superb and was overall a worthy conclusion to the trilogy.

One of the most tense movies I've ever seen. Nolan does it again with incredible cinematography and sound mixing. Watching it in IMAX was an amazing experience. Whether its the siren on the German Stuka or the constant ticking sound throughout the movie, the overall sound was simply amazing.

Talk about disappointing. I'm not sure why everyone is praising this movie so much. It was not bad but just didn't live up to the hype. The pace is incredibly slow with little action. Going the drama route instead of edge of your seat action is fine if you can pull it off but the movie just falls flat and becomes boring. The movie tries to be emotional way too much and at times it just feels forced. Overall, way too slow for a 2.5 hour movie. Acting and effects were solid though.

Wow. I came in expecting a simple low budget film just to pass time. What I got was something much more. The acting, dialogue, and even the music was perfect. The 80s feel to it just added to the experience. I strongly recommend this movie to everyone. Especially those who like Mad Max and gory practical effects. An easy 10/10 for me.

It seems most people either love it or hate it. If you are expecting a "Conjuring" type of movie with jump scares every 10 minutes then this is NOT the movie for you. This movie slowly builds up tension (a little too slow at times) but once it gets going it becomes extremely tense. It relies on 'creepiness' to scare which makes it different than almost any other horror movie. The music in this movie will set the tone immediately and it adds to the eerie atmosphere. The acting is superb all around (The young actor/actresses were surprisingly good). Overall, I strongly recommend this movie to true horror fans out there that enjoy films that don't rely on just on jump scares.

This movie doesn't have the jump scares most thought it would have but it does have its moments. The way the movie is shown is very creative and makes it a unique horror movie. However, the ending seemed forced which made me and my friends feel annoyed when it was over. What could of been a great horror movie was ruined by the ending.
