This game is boring for me. I don’t like random encounters (I don’t think this mechanism has aged well). I’m also not a fan of the HD-2D look (seems to be in all of squares games lately). The stories are a bit juvenile and uninventive. Attempted this game twice since I spent money on it but was unable to capture my attention.

I’m about 2-3 hours into this. I’m getting the feeling this game is aimed at adolescents. The box art makes it seem like it could be suspenseful or scary or at least something aimed at adults. I’m not enjoying this but since I spent 20 bucks on it I’ll try and finish it. Maybe my review will change at the end. And yes I like games like House in Fata Morgana (which was amazing), but this game is not that.

This game has so much depth. I know I’m late to the game but at the time I was playing tears of the kingdom and that was taking up all my time plus I tried divinity original sin 2 in the past and it didn’t click with me. But this game, this game is AMAZING.

Wow. Absolutely my favorite rpg this year. Just a beautiful and engaging game. The team that made this game is so talented. The artwork, the environments, the story, and the music omg. This is the whole package.

How am i not able to queue for 3 laps only? I don't want to play your horrible intermission maps, there is so little emphasis on driving when items let you skip two turns in this horrible mess you dare call a map, even made an account just to write this, get lost with this crap

So far I am enjoying this rpg adventure. It’s a little slow to get into at the beginning, but eventually it picks up. The art style is gorgeous. My favorite character is of course Sylvando cause he brings smiles to Everyone.

This is slightly overhyped. I don’t have any nostalgia for this game. Maybe that’s why I didn’t have that great a time with it. It’s okay though.

This game is so good. It’s a shame that Ubisoft fired the team that made this game. They deserve so much better!! EDIT: I just beat the game. What a masterpiece. Ubisoft you should be ashamed of yourself.

I played the demo only so my review is based solely on that experience. Maybe this isn’t my type of game, but I felt that the battles were boring and the story uninteresting. The art style is okay, nothing special. I wish vanillaware would go back to their roots and make another game like Odin sphere. Lately I haven’t been a fan of their newest games.

Gave this game two tries. The second time I gave it a fair chance (maybe 10-15 hours). Guys this is extremely boring and slow. I have tried three dungeons and dragons games now (two from larian) and I found all of them boring af. Maybe I’m not the dice rolling type.

This game is amazing. If I had to critique I would say some of the confidant side stories can get a bit boring. But overall just stellar. 10/10 (almost up there with xenoblade 3 as my favorite jrpg).

Overall, this game is okay, but the plot can be a convoluted mess at times (many times). Maybe this was intentional, but I almost quit playing the game many times as a result.

I want the developers over this game to create another masterpiece. I didn’t think I could enjoy a visual novel but I loved the storytelling and art in this. Story is top-tier.

Beautiful, fun game. I wish Nintendo would make more of these types of open world action adventure explore games rather than games like animal crossing and pikmin lol. My only criticism of the game is too much copy and paste/repetition in many parts of the game just for the sake of filling the world with things to do, which fortunately you can opt out of. Also I didn’t care for the use of the same map.

Even though I don’t like the souls genre in general, I can appreciate the awesome open world. I will never like these games though because all you do is fight enemies that are overpowered. I’m 40 years old and like Nintendo games better. If I was 20 something maybe I’d have more interest in killing overpowered enemies. Lol

I love the story so far in this game. I’m on chapter 5. The fighting is entertaining. I have the difficulty set on hard although at times I don’t think it’s hard enough. I love the characters. There’s really nothing I don’t like about this game. I hope monolith soft continues this series for a future switch or a series that’s like it. I’m also impressed at what they’ve been able to accomplish on the switch. The environments are so interesting. I just love it all. Thanks Nintendo and monolith soft!

I absolutely love this game. I've tried so hard before to like open world games. I've played dragon age, witcher3, ffxv. I just couldn't get into them because of those boring fetch quests. This game has absolutely no boring fetch quests and I love the art style. Everyone wants realistic graphic style in games but I don't know why. When I'm playing a game I'm trying to escape reality. This game is so freaking good and there's so much to do. The enemy AI and the physics of the game are top notch. I will love this game for a long long time 3

i truly wish that this jrpg genre would've stuck with its roots. attracting a new audience (western rpg mmo style) might be increasing the companies profits and that's why they decided to go this route instead. This game was a complete bore. I hate fetch quests in any game and I purposely avoid western rpgs as a result, but because I was a fan of old school ff I thought I'd give this game a go. The story ****, the combat ****, the fetch quests ****. There's nothing really positive I can say about this game and that's just sad because I really wanted to enjoy this game. The pointless fetch quests reminded me of dragon age inquisition and I stopped playing that game too. just to give some perspective here I actually enjoyed playing ffxiii which actually had a story and amazing soundtrack. I Prefer linear gameplay because it gives me direction instead of getting lost. Speaking of getting lost, this game is perfect for that driving around endlessly searching for items to return to people. How exciting is that? Man games have really gone south. Looking forward to the new Zelda.

good story line i guess. battle mechanics took me out of the game. i just couldn't get into the combat system. good combat is essential for any rpg, and i didn't have any desire to level up since the combat system was uninteresting. do your research before buying a game. i could see how this game might appeal to people just starting to get into rpgs.

after 40 hours of gameplay, i got bored of same ol same ol fetch quests and, unfortunately, have no desire to complete the game as a result. because they incorporated too much side stuff in the game, i lost interest in the main quest. i gave this game a low rating for that reason. This was my first DA game purchase, and I won't be buying another. i did enjoy graphics though and the first 20 hours of gameplay, mainly because it was something new to me. Next.....
