Peak Schwarzenegger, very self-aware film, lots of deliberate references to Terminator 2 due to the plot. Feels like a love-letter to T2 High production values, great cast - Charles Dance, for example!

Excellent aesthetics, stellar cast, superb lighting and colour co-ordination, engaging from start to finish. An unsung gem! Madonna, Dustin Hoffman, and Al Pacino are excellent in this.

Think of everything you know and love about Star Trek. Then realise those things aren't in this.

Aesthetically pleasing, thought provoking, quirky but not trying too hard to be, slight Napolean Dynamite vibe but very much it's own thing. 9/10

Laughed out loud throughout, filled with cameos from recognisable US comedy actors, well directed, well paced.

Excellent science fiction, unique visual style, good pacing and acting, hints of almost warhammer 40k levels of detail and worldbuilding at times. A triumph.

The movie is deliberately bad, Lana did not want to make this movie. It's a middle finger (get it?) to warner brothers but also to the entire matrix fandom and the intelligent people who were inspired by these movies. script deliberately cartoonishly poor, fight scenes have no ju-jitsu.

The critical reviews are completely wrong. Enjoy this masterpiece. You won't regret it.

Ignore the bad reviews! It has many laugh out loud moments, maybe some went over the heads of american audiences due the accents and british vocabulary. It's silly and a tad childish sometimes but nowhere near as bad as the metacritic score would suggest. It's honestly worth a go.

Basically what the one critic review says. Visually quite gorgeous and imaginative but there is no plot or if there is, it's very very badly explained. This movie was in 3D originally and I get the sense if you don't see it in 3D with a good knowledge of chinese mythology, well lets just say the movie doesn't adjust itself to the uninitiated. Dialogue in english is atrocious (could be a translation issue?) and the americanised english dub makes the film even whackier and less meaningful than it was before translation. Check out the visuals but don't expect a satisying story for the english speaker.

Thoughtful, subtle yet epic, zen pace and vibe, yet engaging. Good performances.

It's great, succeeds at what it tries to do, a sensual, slightly lovecraftian adventure with a good direction and aesthetics, likeable characters. One for Hammer Horror fans, but it's so much more than that. A real treat.

Well directed with good performances, engaging plot and a great soundtrack. Faithful to the cultures it portrays at the least the aspects it is about.

Appalling dialogue, patronises the adult audience who are the people who loved the books on release, garish faked Irish accents on all characters, (just employ someone with that accent) THERE MUST BE A SEQUEL - So They can actualise the author's intention. Do This Franchise justice and don't back down! Or is this where Netflix steps in and reboots to save us all?

It's really funny and has great bravery in the jokes, and top notch production values and effects, and a pleasing aesthetic. Shame about the killjoys who don't get the joke. It's great fun from start to finish.

Beautiful mysterious movie with great aesthetics, should have been give more budget but did amazingly anyway, loveable characters and a great puzzle to solve.

Unbelievable how mismanaged this series is. The direction is so adolescant, there's no subtly at all. Help us, spin-off movies, you're our only hope! Appalling script written by a ten year old, massively misjudged comic relief turns this into an SNL parody.

No real resolution or narrative. The whole point of a movie like this is you know nothing until the end. But at the end, we still know practically nothing.

The visual effects triumph of the decade. A well-though out tribute to the original which delivers incredible artistic direction in spades. The theme of a united humanity remains. Spectacular.
