I cannot stress how much I love Persona 2 Eternal Punishment and it's a shame considering how much newer Persona fans overlook it. - The best story in the franchise - Gameplay that seems "Dated" but actually is still extremely good but grindy - Just amazing soundtrack altogether - Second part of the duology with characters appearing from past games - Best character cast available in the Persona franchise. Now I will say the only thing really bad about the game was some the dungeons. Specifically speaking areas with pitfalls. Those are the worst and those dungeons tend to become frustrating but everything else is just perfect.
Probably one of the my top 10 games of all time. It's so barebones and basic yet even the same stages yet its so perfectly made that every time I experience it, it's always something random and something new. The zombies, soundtrack, stages, 7 out of 8 characters (not Rochelle), mods, amount of extra voice lines, user control, versus, realism, memorable enemies, download stages, custom servers, etc. This game is a beast. I feel like I get 100x more than what I paid for and even today, the playerbase still exists live and well today. Nothing beats greatness like an alive game even after how many years. Valve knows how to make long lasting games and it makes me kinda sad that there's no follow up games. I would love for new ones but it's tough to break what L4D2 has in amount of content. Left 4 Dead 2 is a clear 10 out of 10, it has it's flaws yes but what game do you know has the amount of mods and content this has? This game defines amazing and even today I still pour hours into it. So does thousands of others.
Trials of Mana is a solid game overall and from what I hear a game from overseas built from the ground up. I like this game and want more. I like many of the characters outside of Charlotte and the story feels somewhat basic but at the same time likable. Easy and linear but the gameplay is where it's at for sure. Depending on who you pick as your team you can determine how you will build their skills around which is pretty cool with the customization. A few things I would work on though: - I play in English. Fix Charlotte. My god she's annoying as heck. Mostly fine but could be better though it's pretty funny as well. - I would make the AI better. Sometimes they're outright useless - Difficulty. Make it overall more difficult - More options. I had to go outside to my DPI settings to make mouse movements playable at much faster speeds. It feels to slow in regular options. (2400DPI to 7200DPI) I get mostly close to 120FPS when playing on max settings and the game looks pretty good. With mod support too this game looks gorgeous and adds more customization from outfits to difficulty and overall enjoyment. Definitely worth a pickup if you're into Action JRPGs or JRPGs in general.
I fall asleep watching and playing this game. It's basically CS:GO but more kiddy and with overwatch type abilities. Characters feel so generic and forgettable, map designs are basic as usual, the customization **** with typical loot crate items which don't even look good, abilities are either too broken or overpowered, graphics look like a mobile game even at ultra settings, etc. The good though is the Frame Rate you can get is DANG good and the buy system actually is very forgiving. Slow boring matches that take forever to finish, Typical Riot Games with boring games as always. At least it has some appeal but it's mostly forgettable and I'd honestly go back to CSGO. Both games have hackers but one actually looks appealing and it ain't this one. This is a decent team game but that's about it. 5 out of 10. Below Average. Forgettable.
Sometimes you have to start somewhere. Persona 1 is the start of the Persona franchise and grew into a much bigger franchise today. Never forget Atlus where you came from. My review will be going off from moving to the PS1 to the PSP. Everything about the game is way more improved than the original however I consider some things to be downgrades. Pros 1. The game is complete this time including the original JP names 2. Added cinematic cutscenes overall feel nicer. 3. The original counter rate is now here where as the PS1 version it was reduced with more EXP. 4. The game is WAY faster than the PS1. It's not even a comparison, this is a overall upgrade on that part. 5. Snow Queen & SEBEC However the cons make me dislike the game overall. Cons 1. Persona Revelations had a more darker feel and look. It actually looked like a SMT game with the original release. This just feels off. 2. The soundtrack. It's AWFUL compared to the original PS1 soundtrack. There's not even a way to use the original soundtrack and even years later with mods to have the original soundtrack, it's not perfect and it's missing many songs for generic ones. 3. The battle theme. This alone made me mute the game after three battles. Revelations Persona had a billion times better battle theme. This soundtrack really ruins the feel of Persona 1. 4. Not a fan of some voices. This is more of a personal feel. I actually liked the PS1 voices specifically because of the old school effects and voice lines that added to that dark feel you never have today. 5. Removed sound effects. They have the text bubbles yes BUT WHERES THE SOUND EFFECTS? The whole point of a remake is to improve on stuff and add on from the original not remove things and make it worse. 6. Certain cutscenes I think would've been fine off as regular dialogue. I don't know, in the original it went by faster but here some cutscenes just felt tedious. If it wasn't for the soundtrack and removed things I could've rated this game a 8 but playing a game muted isn't fun and playing the game unmuted is just god awful and annoying. Nowadays you can slap on the PS1 Ost (Mostly) and enjoy the game but this review is based off my initial experience. 5 out of 10 but with the soundtrack mod 7 out of 10. A soundtrack really can effect the way how a game feels. The PSP soundtrack took away every feeling of the original Persona I ever had and destroyed this version of the game. If it was perfectly made with all the improvements but had all the removed stuff from the PS1, I'd rate it a 8 like how I did the PS1 version.
One of the worst game I have ever played. The developers are some of the worst people banning others for no reason, the characters are generic and boring, Discord talk was garbage and feels almost no better on Steam, incredibly unbalanced, graphics are terrible, etc. Imagine Dead By Daylight, Friday The 13th and every other survival game possible like this mixed into a puke pile. Free to play phone games do better than this. Even the playerbase is more dead than Friday The 13th, a game that gets no updates at all. Pack it in and throw it away. Last Year: The Nightmare is the Last game Elastic Games should make.
If it wasn't for the price of $40 I would rate it higher but the story alone starring Shang Tsung makes it worth it alone. Robocop I absolutely loved in this. Fujin and Nightwolf I ended up liking their characters more than ever. Friendships on top of it all as well. Personally I'd wait for a price drop then pick this up unless you really want the DLC. It should've been around the price of another season pass if anything.
The gameplay is overall better than original 5 but just like it with additional content, it has so much filler dialogue that's just so boring you end up skipping through most of it. The good is the freedom is way more in this compared to 5. The story is pretty much identical to 5 but with enhancements and a couple of other extra things. Which means more boring school life and social links too. It NEEDS way more dungeon and gameplay rather than filler dialogue. If you didn't play original 5, pick it up. If you already did play 5, wait for a sale unless you actually liked 5. This feels more or less like a casual friendly game in especially when in comparison to other SMT titles. Persona 5 Royal is a step up from the original but not much else. The best part though about this all was the Strange Journey DLC. Now that was epic. Not to mention Raidou Kuzunoha Outfits, Persona 3 Outfits, Persona 2 Outfits, SMT: IF, SMT:4 and Catherine Outfits are free this time. So you can hear some of the best battle themes now for free. If it wasn't for those I'd lower my score by 1. Some soundtracks are a hit but others are a miss. Score: 7.5
I thought this series couldn't be more amazing but it just is. - Some of the best soundtrack in RPGs (and on PC if you don't like it, it's moddable) - An amazing part of the story that left me wanting more. - A great balance of gameplay, difficulty and story (although the story part is somewhat complicated if you haven't played the past games) - Some of the best characters I enjoyed - Great choice of voice actors (English) and many more things. This is probably one of the top RPGs I played and I can't wait for the 4th game in the franchise to be localized. I would put this as one of my favorite RPG franchises and top games I played this year and of all time. A couple of minor nitpicks keep me from giving a perfect score but it's so close to it I wish I could give a 9.5 or 9.6.
It's a solid experience and the online mode isn't exactly too bad but it leaves a sour taste of wanting more than what was given. $60 bucks definitely was a hefty price tag and I felt $40 should've been the sweet spot. Anyone who played it on PS1 knows the length. Unfortunately yes, there's cut content as you heard and it **** too. Anyone who played RE2 will find this game pretty easy as well. Especially once you learn the dodging system. I think it's a good game for what it is but it could've been much better. It's also under the pressure of RE2 and has to live up to it's expectations and more. Capcom can make good games especially with their comeback at Resident Evil 7 but they also have to step it up as well. Resident Evil 3 is at the very least a good way of playing the game today.
Such a good game but it's ruined by it's controls. One thing is that the story is top tier. It's one of the best I've ever played. Gameplay is good and I understand the feel. Some things could've been better but the thing that kills it for me is the sensitivity. I maxed out the sensitivity and it's STILL unbearably slow. Keep in mind on PC I play at 3200 DPI and on games like COD on console at Insane setting. For story node the slow sensitivity is fine but for Online it's unplayable. I mean you have enemies coming from the back and you turn as slow as the hour moves on the clock. If it wasn't for this I'd easily give this game a 10. Story and the game are beautiful nontheless. Online and the sensitivity on the other hand? Not good at all. That's one problem with consoles though. As much as I love it, if the settings only allow a certain thing, that's all you get. If anything they should allow custom settings to your hearts content on TLOU2 or atleast way higher sensitivity than what feels like a 4 out of 10 on other games.
The game is still Pokemon and fun but the lack of content and with how easy this is, just wait for a used copy at the bargain bin. Full price isn't worth it. Especially with how easy this game is. You can beat it in a day if you wanted to. The amount of FPS drops this game has is also eye hurting. Down to as low as 10FPS. The performance alone is what hurts the game most for me and hoping a "Switch Pro" would fix that issue. You can still enjoy and like a game but you can also still give full criticism. Some good things on the other hand are the raids are actually cool and it's still at the end of the day Pokemon as usual. The soundtrack is great and the character models are better than ever. However why add those models and not add them as available clothes to wear? The customization in the game is pretty barebones and NPC outfit parts should easily be available.
One of the best RPGs you can get to date. The atmosphere, soundtrack and gameplay are all perfect and can be challenging. Possibly some of the best boss fights in the series and overall can make you better at all RPGs.
Persona 3 still stands as one of the more powerful games in the franchise and is a great entry for newer Persona fans. - One of the best stories available - Even the side stuff like social links are cool to look at - Characters and their developments continued to grow on me amazingly - Soundtrack is amazing but can become repetitive - One of the better 3D RPGs available especially at it's time - 90+ Hrs of gameplay - The difficulty feels more or less like SMT but easier - Social links have lots of variety - Game isn't too grindy The negatives? - If Player goes down it's game over. What's the point of buying items and Yukari having recarm then? - The school life can become very boring especially with the learning aspects. - Forced social links to make the actual gameplay better - Can't control allies - Some side quests just plain **** - It's one dungeon area with random layouts as opposed to several areas to travel to - The fatigue system - Having to actually upgrade your stats in the normal life - Annoying analysis characters that you can't turn off. I know how to play the game yet it treats me like a child. - Shadows instead of demons
The weakest entry I ever made for SMT games and Persona. I did not like Persona 4 really. It felt way too happy and it didn't really feel like a SMT game. The story didn't grow on me whatsoever, the soundtrack became really annoying after just two hours, the characters are by far the worst choices with the worst development, the analysis characters become really annoying, the main character is the worst choice, Mr. Perfect and the school life somehow is WORSE then the 3rd game. I had to force myself to finish this game and the payoff wasn't even worth it. Newer fans might like it because of how happy and lighthearted it is in comparison but for me it's not worth ever playing again.
Very fun game that's for the most part improved with much more mechanics. Gameplay like the first one and good enough story to hold up. Characters I really liked though the story could've been better. Hoping to see more from this franchise and stick to this gameplay style. It also runs smoothly on lower end machines too hitting 60FPS+ easily even on high settings. On mine alone it easily stays over 120FPS+ and at max settings.
A shame the plug was pulled on this game due to licensing issues. The games optimization just plain ****. Even on High end rigs its hard to hold 60FPS+ on max settings 1080p. I know what lots of people would say Jason is OP but I think it wouldn't have made sense otherwise. A team based game where surviving isn't guaranteed even working in groups. Do your best to outsmart Jason and escape the area with 3 different escapes and various survivors and abilities. For what it is, it's a fun game especially with friends. I played it solo and still had all that fun. 100 Hours in the game from the first few months and bam, suddenly no more DLC. The plug was pulled and the game is practically dead now outside of a cult following player base or players that played the game for free. 40 bucks definitely was a steep asking price, 20 should've been it. Now I feel this game should be in the cheap section of gaming. Hoping one day this game can get a true DLC revive. I initially could've given this game a 8 because of how the game was running before. Constantly improving and making it more and more fun but officially I'm now at a 5 or 6. It's incomplete and its still a buggy mess that's dead they're trying to sell. I would say unless you have friends to play with, pack it up and pick up another title.
Cold Steel 2 was an amazing follow up to the first game. Some of the best RPG games to pick up indeed. My only issue with the second game is optimization isn't exactly the best like the first game. Some areas can be more taxing than others. I would also say like true Trails of fashion, you can break the game here too with stats.
I love city builder games and wanted another SimCity game for so long and wish I found this sooner. It can use more improvements and more in depth content but looking for a simple SimCity game to play pick this one up.
The game has so much potential to be great but is ruined by the poor map design which contributes to the camping gameplay. There was so many times in this COD where the match has rarely has kills because everyone is too afraid to move. When you rush there's always someone hiding in a corner or in a building. It ruins the game completely. Even in TDM matches are going way too slow. From fast paced gameplay in the older games to slow boring crap you don't even recognize as a COD game. The Ground War mode is fun but they're not playing it the COD way either. Camping there too and cheese tactics. I was expecting this COD to be fun from the high reviews I've seen but it just comes off as a slower Battlefield game now. The game heavily needs a redesign on the maps to fix this issue because right now it ruins the game and makes it unfun. I understand camping is part of the game but this is way too much bull to even enjoy by this point. Only one out of every five games have actually been true fun. The rest? People set up tents. It's a shame too. The graphics and design are beautiful but the Multiplayer is boring. That's the biggest problem too, that is supposed to be the biggest selling point of the game and it truly is failing. 5 out of 10 in this state. They need to improve the gameplay and make it fun like before. This is just plain boring and a waste of my 80 dollars. At this point I find PUBG to be more fun. Even in a BR game players are more aggressive there. Imagine paying 60 bucks to sit in a corner. This slow paced gameplay isn't for COD.
It's pretty good for what it is. A good single player experience that feels like Fallout but it's not exactly as in depth as I thought it would be. Although I haven't been invested in a Fallout game since 3 and New Vegas, this one managed to pull me in like them. The gameplay feels too easy but the story and dialogue is where it shines. A 60 dollar tag was a little too much asking for this. Wait for a sale on the Windows store or get it on Game Pass.
Low performance on a i7 7700k, GTX 1070, 16GB Ram. It's a terrible launch, buggy mess and a EGS exclusive for 6 months. They even started deleting reviews to make themselves feel better.
This should've been a new title and not part of the mainline series. This game is a complete action game with forced Co-op and 4 different play styles in 4 stories. I really don't understand the direction of this game and outside of a few small things, I really can't find much to like about it. It feels like just out of place and going from one story to another feels like a whole different game. I was hoping for a RE title to bring back the feel but I felt the opposite. If this was a completely new series that didn't have RE in it, like a experimental title I'd rate it higher but the fact that it's a RE title, I just can't let it slide. I do find a few things interesting about it but that's about it. Personally I'd drop this title instantly but if you really are a die hard RE fan or in general just prefer action over survival horror, this ones for you. It's also not even about the gameplay being bad, it's that the gameplay is just out of place for this title.
Resident Evil 5 is definitely a fun game especially with Co-op. It has a fair story don't get me wrong but it lacks what made Resident Evil feel Survivor Horror. The best way to experience RE5 is to grab a friend and enjoy. If you get stuck playing with the AI, the experience wouldn't be that enjoyable. Today the controls haven't exactly aged well either but it still has some of that replay-ability factor in it.
Fire Emblem Three Houses is a game I very much enjoyed. I feel some characters got the short end of the stick or I wanted more from them. A unique take on Fire Emblem and what blows me away with this one is the characters and their personalities. Although I don't think the story was as good as Radiant Dawn, the three stories on their own are all worth checking out with my favorite being the Golden Deer. The soundtrack is great and the new mechanics to the tactics game feel nice. Pretty much everything in this game is voiced and let me tell you, the English cast did beautifully it makes me just want to hear them way more nonstop. (Note: I don't really play JP voices in majority of games) The only thing holding me back from giving the game a 10 is the fact that the stages are WAY too big. Making promoting to mounts a must in Three Houses.
Capcom has been making a huge comeback with gaming and Resident Evil 2 is no exception. Beautiful graphics, amazing controls and awesome gameplay. Some changes to story I'm not a fan of but overall something worth a playthrough.
Monster Hunter but way more casual with a toxic community. Terrible UI, ugly graphics and characters that look as crap as Fortnite, simple features like blocking a character or cancel matchmaking don't exist, Pay to win, Epic Games Exclusive, poor servers, poor hub, constant crashes, alt+F4 is your best friend, etc. Save your space and ignore this crappy game. Also played on PS4 and PC... no difference outside of Frame Rate and Graphics. Deleted them both.
What is a masterpiece? A Castlevania game like this no secret. Cheesy but lovable early voice acting, soundtrack that you can listen to any and all days, gameplay that'll never get old, RPG system that's overall fascinating from 100's of options to choose from, lovable characters and great story, etc. This aged well and is still one of the few games today that people should always replay or try.
One of the best fighting games of all time. Hard to get into but once you learn how to play it becomes easier to master. The soundtrack was top notch with every character having their own unique themes, cool arcade story mode, huge cast of characters that even though some were noticeably weaker than others, they can still shine in the right hands, awesome dialogue, beautifully done VO work on Marvel and Capcom (English overall way better) characters, the best awesome graphics style that even follow the characters series artworks, amazing comeback systems, not too complicated and overall fun to play and fun to watch. Sadly Heroes and Heralds didn't shine and I wasn't a fan of the new menu music change from Regular MVC3. Still amazing game and I still to this day wait for a proper MVC4.
Incredibly fun game with many weapons and options to choose from. Somewhat grindy but it pays off and you unlock everything in no time. From Battle Royale to classic Capture with objectives and Survival mode. Such a basic concept yet anyone can pick it up and still be a competitive game at the same time. Mordhau falls on that line easy to pick up, harder to master. One of the best games I've played this generation and one I've already sunk plenty of hours into and that's hard to do these days. Not to mention everything in-game you can unlock free of charge and there's lots of options. The only real negatives being the servers aren't exactly the best but that normally happens at nighttime when playing on servers not in US. Incredibly done game right here and if you haven't picked it up and are looking for another multiplayer fun game to kill time? This is the choice right here. Don't blame me if you get addicted though.
Still better than New Frontier and Michonne but that's not saying much. Choices feel like they really don't matter anymore and will in general just lead you to the same path outside of the ending. Sure certain characters will get certain outcomes but in the end it really didn't matter like the first two seasons. It's not bad but you can tell quality went down. Also was hit with that bs happy ending. Also Epic Games Exclusive... yeah.
Graphically one of the most ugliest games I have ever played, goofy kiddy physics made for 5 year olds, over priced skins that cost way more than they should be. One skin with the price of 20+ bucks... Lobbies full of annoying children, unbalanced gameplay, same map for how many months with minor alterations, cash grab game, punchable faces, silly kiddy dances, save the world players got screwed over, etc. Epic Games... Yeah... what'd you expect. Poor Battle Royale game and poor overall experience. I guess the only fun thing I ever found was 50 vs 50??? Other than that this game is one worst games I have ever played in my entire 20+ years of gaming.
A great port with a few hiccups here and there. I do get a few drops on a GTX 1070 and sadly the game is locked to 60Hz. (I have a 144Hz Monitor) I was hoping for a few other graphics options but it's solid overall, definitely an improvement compared to the PS3. For the price it's worth checking out. The story may not be one of the games strong points BUT the gameplay is on something unique. Something on Valkyria Chronicles level. You don't see many JRPGs like this. Voice acting is pretty good, characters are ok but could've been better. Due to the length of the game, I felt like it couldn't go into more detail on the characters stories and backgrounds and just gave you jists of it. If it was improved and you felt more attached to the characters then I would've seen the sacrafice system do a lot better, still it's great. The soundtrack is great with every section having different soundtracks. Little spoiler here: This isn't a game you beat in one sitting, it requires multiple replays. Overall it's a solid 7.5/10 game. With more details and more to the story I feel like the game could've been so much better, hope to see more from this company because this game is one of the missed out PS3 gems due to it coming out at the time of the PS4. One more con I forgot to mention, yes this game does have Japanese Voices but aren’t any Western releases as far as my knowledge so for those who want the Japanese voices sadly it’s not included so maybe a modder might drop by and give you the option.
I found the interesting much more interesting than the Neptunia games and it's definitely a step up however I feel like it could've been more better. The gameplay itself just doesn't feel that good compared to other RPG games. Unlimited movement and taking advantage of the field and bugs. Not my favorite thing. Other than that it's a pretty basic turn based RPG. I do like the skill learning system though. The story on the other hand I find myself figuring out what could happen next. It's so much more interesting in the human world and the dialogue however some places it falls short. I find myself trying to find every single choice and option and this is where it falls short. There's alot of reading and in English some parts aren't voiced being lazy once again. I wish there was more visuals in the story too instead of seeing plain black screens and just a couple of pictures talking to each other. I wanted to see it more rather than hear it on a static screen. I wanted to see especially when they're defining the deaths and see it animated. The story captures me at many moments and even has my heart beating especially when it goes dead silent at night. If only I could actually see it more. Overall it's a pretty good game to check out but it requires way more reading in Visual Novel style than needed.
The Sims 2 is so simplistic it's easy to enjoy and lovable for all Sims fans around. One of the best Sims games out there and with all the expansions you'll find yourself playing every single little thing. Once mods come in too? Oh boy you won't stop playing. 2004 and still a pretty fun game today.
The Sims 4 is a huge step down from Sims 3. The good things are > Much better Create-A-Sim > Ease of building with premade rooms > The emotion system is kinda fun Now for the bad things > Lots are locked and traveling around is basic like SIms 2. > Removed open world > Expansions are split between Expansion Packs, Game Packs and Stuff Packs. None and I mean NONE OF THEM give the amount of stuff Sims 3 gave. In fact many of them give WAY LESS. > No cars, just teleporting. > Neighborhoods are small and BORING > The lifetime rewards are just plain broken. > CAS has no color options > Lack of good jobs > Things that were free in last games ended up coming as updates later proving it was unfinished > Game is stripped of all it's content in base game > More game breaking glitches than ever. Lots of the time I find my sim stuck next to beds. > Terrible graphics at many places > Basic Sims features that are missing from this game > Load screens everywhere > Much less life states > Pets are uncontrollable... > Cats and Dogs. 40 Dollars for just Cats and Dogs. Sims 3 Pets gave you WAY MORE than just that including controllable animals, horses, stray animals, raccoons, small pets, etc. > Over priced DLC especially compared to what Sims 3 offered on every expansion and stuff pack. and so many more problems. The base game had me playing for only 10 hours before dropping it. Sims 3 had me on for weeks. There isn't even that much to do in Sims 4 and if it is, it's the most boring thing ever. This is basically Sims 2.5. It's not even good enough to be 4 and even with all the DLC included, it's still a boring game especially compared to 3. I mean this game was like it was made with 2004 standards with somehow less content and more to pay for. The only people I'd recommend this game to is people with low end PCs. That's all it's for. Everyone else might as well skip over this and go back to grabbing 3 or 2.
The Sims 3 is hands down the strongest in the series. Big open world with so much to do. Sure on lower end PCs it's not the best running game but this sims game alone is a beast. Every Expansion makes the game so huge there's so much to explore and the stuff packs are some of the best. The game is buggy bug with the help of mods it's mostly fixable. It's to be expected with a game this huge and Sims being in real time. So many types of life states you can play as. From things to animals to ghosts, Vampires, Robots, Werewolves, Fairies, etc. (Based off owning all DLC) There's way too much with Sims 3 I poured 1000's of hours into it. It's just too perfect and offers so much. The Car driving, taxi riding, running to places, seeing your sim actually travel to places, etc. It's how a Sims game truly needs to be. Released in 2009 and yet has way too much to do that you end up being **** in to the world of Sims for countless hours. Many Careers to choose from and even controllable ones. So many traits to choose from even from base game. Amazing moodlet system that feels rewarding in every way and isn't too hard to deal with. Lifetime rewards to challenge yourself. Unlockable Lifetime wishes for rewarding yourself afterwards. A Create-A-Sim that'll keep you making Sims as you keep downloading more and more mods. A never ending "Story Progression" System. When you don't control your Sims they live on their own and can raise families, pass away, travel around, move, etc. It's like they actually can do things players do. And so much more. Sims 3 is the best game there is in the Franchise. No other Sims game can beat it with the amount of Open World and content this game has.
Payday The Heist definitely deserved more love. At it's low price point of 20 bucks, you got 6 memorable stages, 2 paid DLC stages and 1 free one. I wasn't really fond of the level up system but overtime it grew on me and it was how it should've been. Though it was unpolished, the enjoyment was there. The gunplay felt great and co-op was well balanced out. The callout system, special enemies, guns, etc. Everything was all good. For 20 bucks this game was definitely worth it. The four heisters you will remember with their personalities too. Nothing will ever beat the original 4 and their interactivity. The only real negative is the AI is bad. At least ingames like L4D they help but here they kinda just leave you hanging.
The PC version of Payday is the best but it's really not all that. The heists overall weren't as memorable and the amount of DLC you had to pay for up until the Ultimate Edition? Way too much. We never received 7 Day heists, the game is poorly optimized even on a 1070 I'm receiving drops below 60FPS, it's still a buggy mess, microtransactions came out of nowhere, pay to win skins, etc. Not one update to actually improve the game either, just to add on to the game. Sure there are a few memorable stages but it feels like a grindfest with horde survival gameplay. Most of the game is just waiting for something to open. Stealth is just boring too. Over 100's of hours poured into this game yet I never felt fully satisfied on what the developers could do. No updates really brought this game to the best it could've been. Really only enjoy this game if you have friends and are willing to spend for it. It's not bad but it just feels incomplete and buggy.
It's DOAX3. Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is a fan service game and there's no denying that. If you're wanting to play and watch simple minigames with your favorite DOA girls than this is it for you. What I don't understand is why the game hasn't been released to the West. It's really just girls in bikinis. It's nothing special.
The gameplay is there no doubt but it just seems like there's lack of content. For the free version it's great to check it out. This review is based off the paid version. Pros + Gameplay is great as always + Characters are balanced + Visuals look great and menus running smooth compared to the last game + Free to play version which is pretty much the full game with limited characters + Tutorials are pretty easy to understand + DOA is in between Fun and Competitive in terms of difficulty + Characters look greater than ever + Environmental hazards are balanced and work great + Arcade, Survival and Time Attack modes still exist to playthrough freely + Menus and cutscenes run at a smooth 60FPS + The best customization especially presetting costumes and accessories from hair to glasses + Clothes destruction exists + Great choice of characters as always, including the newcomers + Netcode on my end has been positve + Digital Foundry Approved > Looks Great, Plays Great and has Plenty of Solid Features + PC Version is the sharpest and smoothest version around + It's still like classic DOA + Choice between 3-Way and 4-Way Hold (3 Way for DOA2 style) + Ability to modify random choices from options + Great English and Great Japanese Voice acting (Personally wish I could change voices per character like Capcom games) + Love the more realistic look of the game + Boob Jiggle still exists despite it being toned down + All characters in this game have their themes from DOA1 to DOA5 unlockable + 24 + Nyotengu and Phase 4 DLC = 26 Playable characters and more on the way including Mai. > People that say the roster has less, most characters are back outside of guest characters so I don't know what people are talking about. Last Round had 36. Akira, Pai, Jacky, Naotora and Sarah are Guests. Technically Rachel and Momiji too. > Only missing Leon, Ein, Gen Fu, Alpha-152 in reality. 3 of them can easily return. + Soundtrack is superb as always Neutral +- You have to unlock each song individually by playing each character one by one leveling them up. Order always being for unlocking songs DOA5>4>3>2>1. +- The unlock system is better compared to launch but it should just be get coins then buy the costume. +- The Break System is good however I don't like how every fighting game now needs special meters Cons (Which for the most part are minor Nitpicks) - Maps are kinda bland - Forced to play Quest Mode to unlock things - Less intros and win lines for some reason - Loading times even on SSD seem kinda long - Clothes destruction could be so much better than hair being undone, glasses flying off and a hole in a shirt. - Optimization could use some work - Graphics overall aren't too impressive - Missing Tag Mode - Certain characters didn't return like Gen Fu which I feel may return at a different date - Awful Value Season Pass for costumes and some characters - Lackluster Story - Newcomers didn't get theme songs - Certain players lack a good frame rate causing lag ingame - Cut 30 Episodes from Story Mode - No Arcade mode endings, not a fan of fighting games moving away from this. - Lobbies came as a late update but now exists but are somewhat buggy - Lots of outfits are just retextures compared to 5 which characters had more outfits base game. Overall rating 8 out of 10. It's a good sequel no doubt but there are a few key things that keep it from being better. Team Ninja really has to step their game up with some of the pricing and lack of features though. You should be reeling in more fans, not pushing them away. Yes it's the same review from my steam account.
Resident Evil Outbreak was really well made and I call it the Left 4 Dead of Resident Evil Games. This game could've been better if it was released during the online age and had all of its content complete. You play Outbreak online now with new private servers I'm sure you'll love this game because I can't stop myself from playing it. You play it offline and sadly that feeling isn't the same and it's not as good. It feels rushed offline. However now that I played it properly I can definitely say this game is awesome. From the characters to the stages to the soundtrack.
I'm actually pretty new to the Trails of series, I started out with Sky but saw this came out so I'm trying this first. Very impressed with the game and it's characters. One thing I do like, is the use of every character where as some RPGs could literally let you use one team to beat it. I've heard about this franchise back on the PS3 but I've always simply never got the chance to play, now that I did, I'm really enjoying it. Let's get down to business with the game. PROS: - Pretty well done story - Great characters and development and backstories keep getting revealed - Has that Persona feel to it with the school system - Amazing soundtrack - Voice acting in English has been treating me great with a few corny morments here and there, it delivers nicely overall. I'm currently playing through the game in English and will stick to it. - The system overall is amazing - Keyboard and Mouse controls work phenomenal - Also the option for controller support - The ability to tweak the settings including skipping intros and cutscenes for the speedrunners - Lengthy game that keeps me wondering what happens next - Optional quests not being forced on the player for those who just want to focus on the main storyline - Bosses give a great challenge - Unlike many other games, it makes use of every party member instead of always sticking to certain party members - Ability to control every character in your party - A Lengthy game giving hours of content and gameplay to do - Several other games in the franchise take place at the same time - Dual voice options for the original Japanese Voices or the English Voices with amazing added extra lines. (With a free update) Neutral: - Although the system is amazing, it does seem complicated at first - I'm not a fan of the auto removal of ORBS on party members not in your group - Optimization and performance on the game isn't crystal perfect as even on a 1070+i7 6700k on Max settings I get hicups here and there on 144Hz. - When not in your party, you can't change other characters outfits. - There's learning in the game. Now I'm not sure about you but I don't want to learn in these games so for the question answers I honestly just look up a guide like Persona. Negatives: - The game still has bugs to work out, it's not 100% perfect - Sometimes the game may bug out when playing on a higher refresh rate. (More than 60FPS) - You can miss certain items or quests making you have to play NG+ to earn them again - This is a personal for me, no auto talk for voices cutscenes. - Some character animations like even the basic hi five or slap to the face look TERRIBLE. - Many times at 144Hz, they get hit before the animation ever even touched them. - Graphically today, it doesn't look too great as it kinda was a portable game. Still as they say, the older games hold lots of replay value. It looks a bit nasty lol. Overall I can say I give the game a 9/10 Very Great Amazing overall game but it still has kinks graphically isn't so great, but delivers on great story and gameplay. Yes this is the same review I made on steam btw
PUBG had a great track record during it's early access all the way to 1.0 but sadly that died down. Unfortunately updates feel more and more lackluster and proper optimization has yet to be done. If too many people land in one spot, it lags even on the strongest PCs turned down settings. The gameplay is unbeatable for sure but the servers issues just make it not fun. However when actually playing the game I get the feel of Tenacity and am always aware playing it tactical in this shooter. No other game really has me playing like that. The looting part makes me multitask and that's what I love most. Trying to pay attention to several things at once including the fight and the surroundings. The gameplay is one of the best but the creators just don't want it to be the best. Sure there's parts where you're just running but when you get into the fights, it can be intense.
