Symptomatic of the laziness that permeates the current film **** a reboot or a franchise, but there's so many stale references to past superior films that it may as well be. Lifeless, witless drivel. Demand more, people.

Not sure why I was expecting more, but it this is as about as by-the-numbers as music docs get, just a bunch of talking heads waxing rhapsodic. It's only really saved by the strength of the music it chronicles.
