Much better than I expected with a solid story and acting all around, Colony tells the story of an invasion and the divided society in the aftermath. There are collaborators with their leader LA proxy Alan Snyder played by Peter Jacobson (House M.D.) and the resistance with a mystery leader nicknamed Geronimo. The Bowman family falls in the middle of this war zone and try to survive while they are looking for their missing son. The pilot sets up the general concept of the show nicely and keeps you entertained well enough. I think this show deserves a chance. I am giving it a 9 with the hope that the storyline won't get too convoluted and it won't raise more questions instead of answering the current ones first. I'll be tuning in for more.

Feels like a partial documentary filled with action-packed scenes and the usual behind the scenes backstabbing and intrigue. Told from various perspectives, the series documents the life of Pablo Escobar, from his rise to power to the collapse of his cartel and the following manhunt. Another good show from Netflix.

The pilot was good, the cinematography was spot on with the film and the pace was great too. It was a nice touch for Bradley Cooper to appear in the pilot and carry on the storyline from the film. Jennifer Carpenter did a good job portraying another character similar to Debra Morgan. I hope CBS will keep the structure of the pilot intact and do not turn this into another procedural. It has so much more to offer than a classic cop show. I hope the rest of the season will be the same quality as well.

Dexter meets Halt & Catch Fire. Pilot made a really good introduction to our lead character played excellently by Rami Malek. Like in Dexter, we are in his head as he narrates the story and events unfold at the same time. The music and the atmosphere immediately reminded me of Halt & Catch Fire. The only series I once watched in USA network was its flagship Royal Pains and I did not have very high expectations about this show but this was a very pleasant surprise.

I have watched the first 2 episodes and it's off to a great start. There's an action sequence at the end of episode 2 which pays homage to the Raid franchise. Think of a darker and more stylized Arrow. Netflix does it again.

The location and cinematography are so beautiful even this is enough reason to give this show a chance. Add an amazing cast to this and the magic formula is set. The show really takes its time to set up the characters with flashbacks and flash-forwards similar to Damages. I watched the first five episodes in five days and the rest in three. It really shoots up in quality once the introduction part is over. Ben Mendelsohn really shines but all of the actors did a superb job. Kyle Chandler especially finds his rhythm into the season and the show becomes addicting as it goes on. I would not be sorry if there was no second season but would definitely watch if there is one.

The pilot gives the impression that the producers were going for a feel of the movie "Drive". I was hoping this to turn out to be something like The Killing or Southland mixed with these noir elements, but got more and more disappointed as the show progressed. The quality is somewhere near a good made-for-TV movie but far from what the critics are saying. The final is probably where it hit its low. Very predictable especially in the episodes leading up to the final in the second half of the season.

The positive things about this show are its pilot, cinematography and that it puts Maura Tierney back on the screen. There is very little chemistry between the leads. Honestly I wouldn't have an affair with one another when I look at from both of their perspectives. The repeat of the events in each episode is welcome at first but then slowly starts to get boring in each episode. I have watched 4-5 episodes then dropped it. Don't think I'll pick it up again.

Though not as good as season 1, season 3 is better than season 2 as now president Underwood continues to tackle his enemies in a ruthless manner with Spacey's portrayal of Underwood better than ever. Be prepared for more turnoil and stronger opposition from all fronts this season. Robin Wright and Michael Kelly especially shine in the supporting cast.

Easily one of the best pilots of this season. It's a thriller aimed at a younger audience, a mix of creepy, fun, exciting and intriguing all at the same. Victoria is amazing, and the rest of cast is promising, Great cinematography and music selection. If you like Pretty Little Liars or Teen Wolf, you'll love this one.

It's like a mix between The Good Wife (a strong prominent female figure as a top-notch lawyer) and Pretty Little Liars (a murder mystery revolving around five students). I can see Viola Davis getting a lot of nominations. I sense this will be appointment TV for many including me.
