Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5 looks amazing and the open world is huge with tons of ways to explore. The options for traveling and taking out enemies are actually great, whether you want to sneak around or go in loud. But after a while it starts to feel empty. The story begins strong and then goes nowhere, and the whole cult thing never really hits as hard as it should. The missions get repetitive, and constant enemy attacks make exploring more annoying than fun. It is still a good time in short bursts, but it never really becomes more than that.

Mafia II

Mafia II is all about story and atmosphere. The 40s/50s setting feels spot on with the cars, music, and vibe, and the cutscenes make it feel like you’re in a mob movie. The city looks great but there’s not much to do outside the missions, so don’t expect GTA-style freedom. If you want a focused, cinematic crime story, it delivers.

GTA V is amazing. Los Santos feels alive and full of detail, and switching between Michael, Trevor, and Franklin keeps things fresh. The heists are a blast, the driving and shooting feel great, and there’s always something fun to do around the city. The story has its ups and downs, but the characters are memorable and the world itself is so engaging that it doesn’t really matter. Between the chaos, the freedom, and all the little hidden moments, it’s easy to see why this game still holds up years later.

Until Dawn

Until Dawn is honestly a lot of fun if you like cheesy horror movies. The branching story makes your choices actually feel like they matter, and it’s satisfying to see who lives or dies based on your decisions. The characters are surprisingly well acted and full of personality, which makes you care about them even when they do really dumb stuff. The quick-time events are fun, but the fixed camera angles are annoying.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a huge disappointment. I really hated the first-person sections, and the combat is clunky and never fun. The sudden switch to third-person while climbing completely breaks the flow, and enemies behave so unpredictably that it feels more frustrating than challenging. There are glimpses of what could have been a fun adventure, but the game constantly interrupts itself with awkward mechanics and weird design choices. Could not even finish it.

The Witcher 3 is insane. The open world actually feels alive and you can get lost for hours just exploring. Almost every side quest has its own story and doesn’t feel like filler. Combat can be a bit clunky but the writing, characters, and atmosphere make up for it. I have spent hundreds of hours in this world and I am still finding new stuff. The open world really makes you feel like you are living in it.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

Uncharted is basically “climb a ledge, shoot some guys, repeat” packaged with a bunch of witty one-liners and explosions. The world feels like a rollercoaster where you’re only allowed to sit down and enjoy the ride instead of actually exploring anything. The puzzles? About as deep as stacking Lego bricks. It’s fun for a while, but let’s not pretend it’s anything more than popcorn gaming.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered

The Last of Us Part I looks great, sure, but once the shine wears off you realize you’re just stuck sneaking, killing the same clickers, and looting every drawer like a glorified janitor. The world feels more like a movie set than an actual place to get lost in, and the “masterpiece” story didn’t exactly wreck me emotionally. Compared to Red Dead Redemption 2, this one feels more shallow than deep.

RDR 2 is not just a game, it’s an epiphany dressed in denim and dust. A whispered goodbye on the wind. From the moment you step into the frozen hush of the mountains, every breath of this world grabs you, holds you, and never lets go. You don’t explore its map. You inhabit it. The snow crunches under your boots with weight and resistance. Mud sticks to your horse’s legs after a rainstorm. Your coat sways with every gallop, and every gust of wind sings a song written in light, sound, and sorrow. It's unbelievable. The physics aren’t just “impressive.” They’re holy. They’re alive. The way your horse stumbles in deep snow or muscles its way through water - it feels real. And oh, the graphics. This isn’t just high fidelity, this is visual poetry. Golden sunlight piercing the fog like God brushing paint across the landscape. Cities bustling with life, sweat glistening on workers, saloons glowing with amber light and broken dreams. And Arthur… Oh, Arthur... he is not a video game character. He is a man, made of muscle, memory, and guilt. He carries the weight of his choices in his eyes, in the weary slope of his shoulders. You feel him changing slowly, painfully, from a loyal outlaw into something resembling redemption. Watching him become more than what he was raised to be… it's devastating and beautiful. By the time the end comes, you are not playing him. You are mourning him. This game makes joy sacred, like feeding your horse an apple while the sun rises, or playing cards with Dutch before everything goes wrong. It makes pain artful like coughing blood into a handkerchief in the middle of a meadow while soft strings play in the background. That moment, when “That’s the Way It Is” begins, and Arthur rides into the final, silent breath of his life, is one of the most soul-crushingly perfect moments ever put into any story, ever. It doesn’t pull tears from your eyes. It wrenches them from your soul. You finish it, and suddenly no other game feels alive enough. Nothing else moves like it. Nothing else hurts like it.
