Until Dawn is one of my favourite games of all time and thankfully Ballistic Moon have managed to craft a remake that keeps everything I love so dearly about the original. Great story additions add to an already brilliant horror tale, whilst small but impactful gameplay additions help keep the game fresh. Stunning visuals and voice work remain, along with strong sound design and score. It’s just a shame framerate issues take away from overall presentation and a truly baffling decision by Sony to price this game as a full price AAA game will stop old and new players from enjoying this seminal tale. But for me, this remains the king of narrative horror. See you at dawn!

Until Dawn remains a fantastic horror game with great acting and plenty of jump scares to get you out of your seat. While not essential for anyone that enjoyed the original game, this remake brings it to a new audience and is a solid update to what was already a great game.

This has been my favorite "make your own adventure" style game since Tell Tale used to make them and it's by far my favorite one of the horror genre. The visual and framerate upgrades are extremely welcome and this game looks fantastic on the PS5 Pro. Characters follow specific horror stereotypes but this is exactly what I was wanting. It's like watching a great slasher horror movie but with more twists and turns. Lots of collectibles and fun trophies to do. Overall to me this has been such a phenomenal experience.

Until Dawn is a unique horror experience that focuses on player choices. The story is intense, and your decisions change the fate of every character. With great graphics and a tense atmosphere, it feels like playing a horror movie. It is a very enjoyable and replayable game for anyone who likes mystery and suspense.

Until Dawn remains a great adventure that feels like a teenie-slasher movie you can play yourself. Beside some technically issues it looks great within the new engine, but does not improve enough to make it a worth buy if you already played the PS4 original. But if you didn't play it yet, like the Quantic-Dream-like gameplay concept and horror movies as well, you are going to enjoy the remastered version from the start to the end.

While Until Dawn remains Supermassive’s best rendition of its choice-driven horror games, this remake (a term that feels generous) feels like nothing but a cash grab and a move to fatten the PS5 game catalogue given you can buy the still perfectly fine original for $25 and there’s no upgrade option for existing owners. However, if this is your first night on Blackwood Pines Mountain, this new version is a great way to experience the game, but it will come at a cost.

Until Dawn Remake is a rather lazy remake of the now iconic PS4-era video game cult: the narrative additions appear superfluous and even anticlimactic, while the graphic modernization operation leaves itself open to too many qualitative oscillations, between excessively loaded facial expressions and still stiff animations. Playing Until Dawn today, for fans of the "teen horror" genre, still represents an interesting rediscovery, for a title that still manages to entertain thanks to the unpredictability of its narrative twists.

The new Until Dawn offers visual upgrades and a few additional scenes, but at its core, it remains the same game as the original 2015 version. Unstable 30 FPS and a high price make this upgrade hard to justify, especially if you already own the game. Unless you're a die-hard fan or waiting for a discount, I recommend sticking with the original version.

The issue here is that Until Dawn didn’t need a remaster. Or a remake. I would wholeheartedly recommend everyone reading this buy and play the 2015 original, and I would equally recommend you banish this remake from your mind to never think of again.

One of the best games that i have ever played, i think it's pure insanity that the score is so low.

This game is pretty solid, not going to lie there are some issues with it like the imperfect launch and the soundtrack but besides those it is a fun play. I do appreciate Ballistic Moon giving us a new prologue to the game’s story and adding a new totem pole because it really expands the lore. The visuals on PS5 are stunning and really enhances the horror aspect of the original. I out of anything am very glad to finally play this (they should have never got rid of “O’ Death” though, that was a bad call).

I can't give it more than a 4 to this game. The story is "alright", you can't ask for more... Maintains the level of other games I've played like The Quarry. But the fact that you can't run, in a remake of the game, that's criminal... There are scenes were you walk slowly during 10 minutes wantering around... Why didn't they add a mechanic for run?

They were really like lets get an hourglass and Peter Stormare and call it a day on the plot and video game lore.
