Psychonauts is the most creative video game experience of our generation. Every idea the developers throw at the wall, sticks and provides a unique experience that anyone can enjoy. Tim Schafer an the boys at double fine had a brilliant vision for an adventure game about going into the minds of the characters, and it just works. Everything about the game works. Honestly the few negative things i have to say about the game is just nitpicks. For example some of the enemies are just frustrating and feel like a chore to deal with, like the mountain lions that set you on fire or all the enemies in Gloria's mind. Also there is a point in the game where you have to farm for arrowheads to get a cobweb duster (which you need to progress in the game), its honestly so stupid I don't know why they put it in the game, it feels like a major halt in an overall cohesive experience. Another issue is how some of the psychic abilities are just never used. Like you have the levitation which you use all the time to get more height on your jump, and the telekinesis which is utilized on a bunch of boss fights. Then you have invisibility and clairvoyance, which are only used once, especially invisibility which i only used once. At least clairvoyance has a whole level centered around using it. I swear you only use invisibility once to get past a crow. Obviously that's just a bit of hyperbole, but you get the gist. One more I can think of is that the controls can feel a little dated, like the LT targeting when it flips the camera around in a 360. But other than those I can't think of many more flaws. Now let's talk about why it's so good. THE GAME IS SO **** CREATIVE. Every single level introduces something new and it's just a treat to play. Let's talk about a lot of people's favorite level. The Milkman Conspiracy. First of all the ascetic of the level is incredible, I like how the town is in a spiral and flipped upside down and you can go in all the houses, which doesn't do **** but its still cool. But the crème de la crème is the gameplay, The whole level is centered around figuring out who the milkman is, so there are these detectives everywhere but their vision is **** so if you're holding a stop sign, they'll think you're a road worker. If you're holding a plunger, they'll think your a plumber. THIS IS SO CREATIVE. And every level is like this. Except for the tutorial ones, but even those are creative in their own right. In Napoleon's stage you are playing a strategy game against the real Napoleon, and you have to recruit different board game pieces to your army. In Edgar's stage you have to help him build a house of cards to see this girl, and fight a bunch of luchadors along the way. Every level introduces something new, some new aesthetic, and new characters, and it's a joy to play through. The voice acting and characters are really good too. Steven Horvitz does a great job voicing Razputin and adding more personality to his character. I was surprised how good the dialogue between the characters were too, I thought most of the dialogue would be much more dated than it was, but it's good, and Raz drops some zingers as well. One final note I want to say is that some of the speedrun glitches are easy and fun to do as well like the flying glitch or the water skip. Also you should buy it. The game is like 10 dollars on steam, and like 1 dollar when its on sale. Honestly there is not much more I can say, this game is a masterpiece, and there honestly no other game like it. Playing this game has made me an immediate fan of the series, and I can't wait for the sequel. Don't **** it up Double Fine, because the demo looked like **** 10/10

Dinkey Kong 64 is a stupid game. Its a 3D platformer on the n64 with bad platforming. its a collectathon with too many collectibles. Its a game with a lot of **** moments, and yet i still kinda like it. When I first played this game I thought it was a 4/5 really good game, but after looking back at my experience, and watching videos on it. I realized how stupid a lot of **** in this game is. But before I talk about the **** in this game. Lets talk about what I really like in this game. I love the soundtrack. Grant Kirkhope is a genius and he nails the soundtrack, he really does a good job giving atmosphere to these levels with the music alone. Like frantic factory the dark gloomy sounding music is a perfect representation of the theme of the level and the dark factory setting. The music is incredible. Also I love the DK Rap. I always really like the level design. Yes. I know that each level involves constant back tracking and character specific areas. But the overall level designs themselves are really cool. The Crystal Caves look beautiful for n64, Fungi Forest you get to climb a giant mushroom, and travels to different parts of the forest, and creepy castle. Which is probably my favorite level in the whole game. For some reason the last 3 levels are like the best levels in the game. I also like some of the boss fights. The second dogaddon fight where you turn giant with chunky and punch him. The jack n the box boss fight is pretty cool. And one of the best fights on the n64, King K. Rool. This fight is so god damn good that I wish all the boss fights were like this. Honestly I've been sitting here trying to think of something else I really liked about the game and I just can't, the different characters all have kinda unique personalities I guess. Their different abilities are pretty cool. It's satisfying when you get a banana, or overcome some challenge. OK lets get to the **** 1. BACKTRACKING. When I first played the game I didn't really mind all the backtracking and running through enormous levels just trying to figure out whats going on. But looking back I realize how boring and tedious it actually is. And this could of easily been fixed if you could just push a button, it brings up a screen with all the kongs, and you could just pick one. Why do you have to go back to the barrel so many god damn times. I swear this game has more backtracking than any other damn game. 2. ABSOLUTE ASSETRY. This game pissed me off so much when I played it, that I still writhe whenever i think about these parts in the game. Every single barrel mini game is **** Beaver Bother makes me wanna burn an orphanage down. The slot machine game makes me wanna commit a felony. And all the others **** too. The race with the dune bug in the desert, is suppose to be cool, but it **** complete ass. All the mine cart segments are ass. The arcade donkey kong mini game isn't that fun, and is also mandatory to beat the game. AND THE WORST SECTION IN ANY GAME EVER MADE. A CHALLENGE THAT WAS DESIGNED BY SATAN HIMSELF TO BE THE WORST **** STAIN ON AN OTHERWISE DECENT GAME. A SECTION SO FOUL THAT SADDAM HUSSEIN WOULD LOOK AT IT AND SAY "THAT'S EVIL." The god damn second rabbit race is the worst section in any video game ever made. I'd rather beat dark souls with key board controls, than ever experience this abomination of video game design. This race demands perfection with every god damn hop with every turn, with everything in general. Not only do you have experience the worst thing in video games. Period. But you have to revisit the level after you get an ability for lanky. And now that I realized I could've cheesed it with a simple glitch. Just makes me livid. Anyway donkey kong 64 is alright. 6/10

Metal Gear Solid 3 is my favorite Metal Gear game. It takes every idea from MGS2 and expands upon them, while adding a plethora of new ideas as well. One of the newest and best mechanics added to MGS3 is the camouflage system, which was utilized in almost every other Metal Gear game after. The camouflage makes the stealth feel incredible, and the best in the Metal Gear series. The camouflage indicator tells you how much you blend in each environment, like if your in a grassy area, wear the Flecktarn camouflage, and the Woodland face camo, and you will be practically invisible to the guards around you. Take into account that the version i'm reviewing is MGS3 Subsistence, (not the original Snake Eater) because of the top down view in the original. The version i recommend you play is either Subsistence or MGS3 HD edition, where in both games you can toggle between Subsistence camera, and Snake Eater camera. One of my favorite things about MGS3 is the freedom of gameplay. The gameplay isn't as good as MGS5 or even MGS4, but the jungle setting of Snake Eater offers up a huge stealth playground, you can scare guards off with beehives, you can sneak up behind guards and interrogate them to get a lay of the land. Nowadays this doesn't seem impressive because of MGS5's incredible gameplay. But Snake Eater was the first game to do this and acted as gateway for the rest of the series gameplay advances. Snake Eater was also the first MGS game to implement CQC. I love CQC, especially the one were you throw enemies to the ground, and is a great way to get out of a tight spot. The music is also really solid and completely fits the jungle setting , usually though no music plays, and you just listen to the sounds of the wilderness around you. MGS3 also has some of the best boss fights in any metal gear game, and there are so many ways to beat the bosses. The Ocelot fight, you can shoot the beehives in the trees, and leave him open for a few shots, you can wait for him to reload and shoot him then, you could shoot his hat, etc. Some of the best boss fights are Ocelot, The Fear, The End, Volgin, and The Boss. With the Fear you can use the Fake Death Pill, wait for him to turn around, throw a stun grenade, and shoot him down with an AK-47, or you could equip the thermal goggles, and shoot him on the trees. During The Boss' fight you could equip the thermal goggles and shoot her with the sniper rifle, or you could use my preferred method (the stamina kill) and get with some well timed CQC, stun grenade hits, and MK22 shots. My personal favorite boss though, and one of the best in the entire Metal Gear series. You could kill him early on with the SVD in Ponizovje Warehouse: Exterior, you can set your console clock forward 1 week, you can shoot his parrot which will give you an opportunity to shoot (i could be wrong, i've never tried this method), or you can have an actual fight, sneaking up behind him, following his footprints, listening to the parrot, the fight is incredible. And that's what the game is, and artistic and technical masterpiece. I don't want to get into spoiler territory, but the story is incredible and probably my favorite in the whole series, mainly its the most linear and easy to follow. MGS1 and MGS2 have great stories, but most of the time i get lost when they incorporate current events, government conspiracies, it just gets really messy, MGS3 has a story that;'s easy to follow, and easy to enjoy. The characters are great, and respond to each other incredible well. The relationship between Snake and Eva is great and you genuinely feel bad when either of them get hurt. The relationship between Snake and The Boss though is where the game really shines, and the ending of the game is one of the best in video game history. Even if you don't like the Metal gear series there is just always something to enjoy in this game and i can't recommend it enough. I give this game, a 10 out of 10
