Defiant a “9” tier game. I actually preferred the first one but that could simply be due to it was first of its kind. Much preferred join marston as antagonist. However, if that is a 10 then this is a solid 9. Great game everything is triple a here. Only problem is horse running into trees and I hated having to go back to horse for certain weapons.

More than half way by now but get the picture. It’s good. Not great. Combat is decent although a little frustrating. Story and characters are pretty lame. Graphics are great looks good on ps5 pro. Problem is it’s just getting too relative at this point kinda like an assassins creed. Decent game and although enjoying it, I find its repetitiveness sinking in at this point.

This game actually is the one of the newer Mario parties to get it right. Superstars was great but due to a lack of boards/dlc it felt flat. This game remedies that with more (although 1 more would have been nice) and rectifies the absurd amount off lucky spaces that was in superstars. This at least has unlucky spaces. Mini games are good, boards are all good just one glaring issue. The buddy system. This does not work. First off your all thrust into a tediously long mini game. Way way too long. no matter who wins the buddy, you can pass that person on the board and steal it. I’ve sat there playing the long mini game and next turn someone passed and stole it. Just makes no sense. Maybe if they hadn’t bothered with the mini game and allowed one or two turns with the buddy then ok. I do like that anyone can steal it but then skip making everyone play a 10 min mini game for it. It’s a little unfair as two stars can be won at least two stars can be lost but I haven’t seen that. So I have to deduct a point for that. Other than buddy system and lack of just one more board, I give it an 8 and still think it’soverall great and best new Mario party in years. Can’t wait to see next one on switch 2. Oh and F the motion controls I don’t play that but cool you can at least turn it off that’s smart thinking. Even if that cuts into the mini game roster. Overall good game though.

This game wasn’t terrible but not a good silent hill game. I’ve played the originals when they came out and the excellent remake of 2. This game has the VIBES of silent hill but just not worthy. First of the combat is terrible. Just frustrating. These games never relief too much on combat but they almost tried to combine soulss like elements. The weapon durability is frustrating, the parrying is frustrating, the stamina always out is frustrating there’s nothing good about it. The setting is also just not enjoyable. Wasn’t feeling it. The characters and story were also lackluster. I just beat the game and don’t even care to look up the explanation. When the game is in the foggy “real” world is when the game is good just exploring. But the otherworldly bs and everything else just leaves me overall feeling unhappy with results. Hopefully they can figure it out by next one because towards the end I just wanted the game to end. 10 hours later I won’t be touching it again and my advice wait for a sale on this game not worth full price.

Pretty disappointed with this game. I was huge fan of Odyssey so didn’t expect to dislike this that much. It was just blah. Constantly mash lunch, stumble upon random banana, have no challenge, rinse and repeat. I’ve heard “BANANA” 630 times. The singing and music aspect of this game is atrocious. I had to skipthe cutscene everytime there’s a singing cutscene with one of the “Elder DJ”s. Let that sink in. That’s the story. David wise who wrote the original DKC OST is one of the greatest composers and not one tune stands out in this game. DK himself looks like a mentally challenged ape. So I just finished final last secret mission and can safely say this was let down I finished it and while it wasn’t the worst, it simply was not very fun at all. Just very basic, nothing remotely stood out and am just glad it’s over. I’m not buying these universal scores this game is pretty lame and I’ll be staying away. Only good part is the end boss and DKC1 reference which I won’t spoil. Had the game been like that, maybe it’d be better. But mashing the punch button over and over with no strategy or anything fun is not for me. I give it a

Decent game but pretty disappointing as far as mario kart goes. Like others have said, the free roam is pretty lame, pointless boring but ok it's a distraction to the main game. As far as main game goes, while it does good, there's also some issues. My main thing is i can't get over the intermission courses. I just want 3 laps and know my course. This does not take place UNTIL THE 3rd LAP! Son, you spend 2 laps getting to your "course" then gave one lap and boom, all done. The other bothersome is there's simply TOO many racers. 24 people leads to terms you'll frequently hear such as "chaotic". I don't want that. It's basically down to luck and the items. I know that always plays a role but here, there's simply too much going on. Online needs some work, specially joining friends. You must spam "join friends" match constantly. There's no way to just make a room or whatever? Items are kinda lame, specially new ones. The feather in particular i don't think ive needed once. Kamek is weird.Others not great either although im glad they brought back the mega mushroom. I miss more balance of character customization. The karts are all bland. And don't get me started on some of these characters (a crab and dolphin really!?) Those are main gripes the game still does good. The OST is great BUT CAN'T HEAR IT! Still has the charm though and hopefully with updates will get better.

Really was not feeling this game. Coming from getting the platinum in MK 11 and enjoying that for the last previous years, I was looking forward to this. Even with the story how could they follow up MK on new time line? Well spoiler alert, they could not follow it up. This is basically a retelling of MK1 with alternate characters. Problem is, the new time line/alternate characters is just not as good and not liking where its going. The biggest disappointment is the combat and the addition of the new "kameo" fighters. This for me is what really ruins the game. I just did not like it. The biggest thing i DID like is that fact that you don't have to pick all the special moves like in the last few games. That just got too complicated. However, the kameos basically act as move set variations. So between the story/ setting/ combat and characters i was pretty let down with this. and if this is the indication where it's heading then the future of the series is looking rather bleak. Oh, and one final note, I took off full point for making me play as sub zero and scorpion with a MAN BUN.

This was a great game where combat excells. I was surprised I enjoyed it as much due to the emphasis on the perfect parry mechanic. I absolutely hated Sekiro and it is comparable to that game. Never had a game frustrated me so much. However, with Lies of P, i must have been better at the perfect parry mechanic as I actually ended up getting the platinum in the game which was a challenge. Really think when it comes to these games finding out how the different weapons feel is what makes the game easier or harder. I also enjoyed a lack of emphasis on magic it's all melee with your side arm attachment so that's it. If you like the souls series you should enjoy this one.

This was a great 1:1 remake of mario RPG. Much better than the terrible paper mario games. It doesn't add anything new (other than boss re battle) but what it does do is faithfully remake the best mario RPG ( and one of the best rpg's in general). It's just as good as the super nintendo and the remade soundtrack id worth it alone. It's still one of my favorite soundtracks. Gameplay still holds up well while actually making the game a tad easier with that special build up. I was hoping reviews and scores would be better as I'd LOVE to see them go with this formula rather than the abysmal paper mario series.

This is a very worthy remake akin to the Resident Evil 2 remake. Also loved silent hill since the original ( well, the first 3) and was glad to see that not only is it faithful to the original but adds welcome additions too. The story sticks to the original without deviating from it too much but also welcomes new additions as well such as the Angela story arc. Gameplay shakes it up the most with some new and improved combat. I remember the controversy when they showed some gameplay before release but it works well. New puzzles are also a welcome addition. Graphics are where things really shine as they have created the atmosphere perfectly here. Everything looks good as nextcurrent gen game should and then some. However, the PS5 Pro version is actually inferior due to lighting issues and was disappointed to not be able to replay this on it. PS5 Pro came out soon after this and really want to test it on it. Sound is where they excelled inanother area. They brought back the series original composer which is synonmous with the silent hill vibe. Soundtrack and sound effects all top notch. Overall this game really exceeded my expectations. This game is very hard to capture the horror and Team Blooper did an excellent job. Its a faithful remake and adds welcome additions to keep it fresh and updated. And as you can see with the 9.2 user score review out of 3,000 plus reviews, this is worthy of the "universal acclaim" title.

Old school sonic is the worse as it plays nothing like yo old school sonic momentum. So the first three levels are decent but then rest of the game drags and I could care less about the story.a lot of the “challenges” are pretty dumb (hitting an eight note tennis match with vector what the hell is this?) and not fun. As for the shadow part, I played two levels and that’s it. Overall, this is not the comebackI keep hearing of. Sonic mania would be that sega should take bite and at this point between this and the abysmal sonic frontiers, I pretty much can assume sega will never get this right.

Since the gamecube release, I've heard nothing but good things about this game. I figured I'd try it and this turned out to be one of the worst games ever. I just came from Mario RPG, which is one of the best games ever loved the SNES version. So I was beyond disappointed with this. Let's start with combat. Its absolutely terrible. There's no strategy nor is there a challenge. I noticed this when trying original paper mario how bad the combat went from mario RPG to this. The numbering system with HP and damage is ridiculous. now you havelow vales of 1-10 opposed to higher numbers. Numbers aside the combat is just SO boring. I barely used any items whatsoever. Just terrible The story and characters are next on this s*** list. Here's the most aggravating thing about this game; THE DIALOGUE. I have never wanted a skip button so bad in a game. It CONSTANTLY interrupts the flow of the already abysmal game but it never ends. Every few steps huge dialogue scenes. And to top it off with the story is so bad and uninteresting that it really is the worst part. The characters are so forgettable compared to mario RPG. Graphics and music forgettable. Paper theme? i can understand with N64 limits but at this point its not necessary. Backtracking through the setting to get an item was lame. In summary, everything about this game was terrible. I beat it, i was so happy when it ended. I know it's being compared to Mario RPG, however, that is how an RPG is done correctly. Leave it to square to help in that aspect, otherwise this is just a children's boring pop-up book style "rpg." If you're like me and kept hearing how great it is do yourself a favor, save $60 and your time don't even bother.

Not everyone agrees with the stages in which some like just flat battlefield like and some, including myself, like diversity. Then you have to go through, decide which ones stay or go. Just like items. Some people only like no items. I like some items. SOME. then you go through decide which items to turn off/keep. There's just an abundance of customization that makes it overwhelming. That's the Con everything else is good. Now where do they go from here?

Trying to escape isn't that fun mostly because people are too good. It's just pretty slow paced. You also don't get that sense of needing to communicate like F13 when you really need all 6 to work together to avoidJason. This one is just kind of luck. And if they see you, you're pretty much a goner. There moments of fun though it just gets old fast. However, this one is way too identical to the breath of the wild. I mean right down to the story progression, layout of land, order in which you go abouts ( go to 4 places come back to castle) it's ridiculous. Graphics are decent but showing it's age. That doesn't bother me nearly as much as the building though. It gets tedious. Probably most addicting game since Breath of The Wild. Also probably the most frustrating game since, well, sekiro? The game is absolutely not perfect from technically standpoint as many reviews are giving out. I mean that is a fact. bad framerate, camera hiccups, pop-ins and generally unacceptable graphics for current gen. The world looks great but too many technical errors alone prevent this from perfection, period. The other half a point comes from the frustrating difficulty. I know it's supposed to be hard but there are some cheap deaths and and can really make you mad. Alas, somehow, it is the most fun game ever played. Great atmosphere, combat, story, music etc. I did get the platinum trophy that was an accomplishment was sad when it ended and glad i won't be breaking anything out of frustration. First off, I don't even like harry potter stuff. Never was interested in the books nor movies. That makes this game all that more exciting. That's how you know it did a good job when it can convince someone otherwise and enjoy it. That's what Red Dead Redemption did for me as I never liked westerns. I really only saw a few trailers and thought looks interesting game, however, it is a really treat going in blind. The world itself is the best part in my mind. This truly feels like next gen game to me one of the few. The load times are about 4 sec to travel anywhere and the SSD instant loading is great. Yes, there are few moments of loading when opening sections of Hogwarts but not enough to take you out of the moment. When you first get to Hogwarts and see how large this place is with the great lighting, it looks amazing. However, once you leave and see the world outside, first trip to Hogsmead, it's great just looking around and taking it in. There's truly a sense of wonder and magic everywhere. Combat is pretty solid. I was pleasantly surprised as I was not expecting much. It's not perfect by any means but gets the job done. The parrying, ancient magic and different spells make for interesting mix. I find myself hitting the wrong spells a lot as you can only assign 4 groups of 4 and have to switch through and also targeting can be wonky. I'm also playing on hard and it's relatively easy but enough challenge too. Overall satisfying. Story and characters are generally pretty likable. I'm only half way through but so far it's interesting and all players I have met are likable. There's not much to say in this department as no spoilers are necessary here. Soundtrack Is also great. This gets overlooked a lot in some off the reviews I've read. It really helps add to the immersion. Places have their own themes and it fits really well. Sometimes it feels like Tim Burton movie with Danny Elfman behind the musical wheel. Definitely helps add to the immersion. So this has been an unexpected hit for myself overall. What really make the game overall is the world and immersion. There's a sense of wonder and magic around every corner. It's great just exploring and getting a feel for this land. Sure combat can be pretty good and story is decent but that's what makes this game is this incredible world that's taking advantage of the new consoles. On a technical level I think it runs great on balanced mode. There's a few hiccups occasional but nothing that takes you out of the immersion. and to address the other complaint i hear other than technicalities, the bare open world with nothing in it? I've read this complaint and i can assure you there is lots to do and discover. Many of the same tasks and puzzles but it's still fun exploring around. All the negativity and bad reviews is in regards this BS transphobia. I swear people are getting dumb and dumber by the day but if buying a video game labels me a transphobic, then I sure as F*** am transphobic by that logic. I'd recommend this game to anyone.

First off, Do not listen to the perfect review scores. This game is not perfect at all. That is a fact not opinion. It was good but way way too similar to the first one so it did not have the same impact in my opinion. I loved the first one it was my favorite game of the last generation but this one treads a little too familiar. Which usually doesn't bother me but in this case it really just felt like long dlc. You can tell it's last gen game, which is ok i suppose. Graphics are great still. The gameplay didn't have same effect though as the fighting is exactly the same right down to the runic attacks. Only thing I noticed is that it seems harder. I played on hard and god of war for last game and hard was frustratingly hard this time around. SO yeah, it's basically more of the same. same scenery, same enemies, same combat BUT with a TAD more sprinkled in here. Story was also not as strong nor did I enjoy playing as loki. Had a lot of fun with this game over the 100 hours or so. Yes, it's buggy. Yes, it looks pretty bad graphics wise. That's part of the fun of this though there's some funny moments. It's the gameplay and working as a team to win that makes this fun. There's obviously points off for the time when game would end or servers disconnect but when you play a match start to finish it was pretty fun. Sad they couldn't keep going with content due to the lawsuit battle over movie rights. But this was a small independt group with a passion for f13 (which I do as well) and made a game that was unique, yet granted flawed technically (and sometimes unplayable in the beginning), and kept me coming back for years.

So, that did take away. But Elden Ring comparisons aside, it started off enjoyable but by the end, i wanted the platinum and to be over with. The whole aiming for the sweet spot on machines gets pretty old fast as it gets frustrating when you can barely hit it 80 percent of the time in slow motion. I don't think I ever even sold any valuables, bought anything, rarely needed to change too much gear because there's so many options and most aren't even necessary to complete the game with. The incentive for exploration or to do side quests is really non-existant as there's no need for useless reward. Characters are pretty lame as well. Story wasn't as good either. It just looked so damn good that it's an accomplishment but doesn't matter how good it looks if gameplay gets monotonous. Overall, it starts out fun, then kinda drags by half way point to sum it up. This game is good but not perfect like other reviews are giving out. I have eagerly been following since June as I’m big fan of original three MP’s and hated the last one (actually probably all from wii on but never played them). It’s good to see them do a “remaster best of” sort of thing and it all generally works with something’s holding it back from true greatness. First off is the fact there’s only 5 maps. Why? Why could you not add one more and make it 2 from every original MP but no, MP3 is shorted one. You see, in the original MP games there was always an unlockable 6th board. Even in instruction manuals it wouldn’t show you so here we all are thinking how cool of a throwback that will be but no, there is no unlockable board. What a huge disappointment and COMPLETE missed chance to throw in some more nostalgia nods. So yeah, there absolutely needed to be at least 6 boards how or why they decided this is baffling. But I’m taking off one full point right there for that non-sense. There economy isn’t also slightly broken. Not game breaking just annoying. While stars are back to 20 and golden pipe is 25, there’s still some other problems in which items are too cheap. Why is chomp whistle 7 coins? To move a star location upon your choosing should cost at least 15 maybe even 20. Skeleton key 3 coins? At least 5. Everything should cost more. Battle mini games should cost more. Playing a 7coin battle is very not threatening at all. It should be 10 min in be grinning and go 10, 20, 30 and 50 with values increasing towards the end game as in the original. Boo should cost coins to steal coins as well. There’s a few other examples like this you wonder sprinkled throughout as well Lucky spaces are overall not a welcome addition. This plays into last point of economy. There are an abundance of these spaces which are constantly landed on and constantly handing out an abundance of coins and items. This would have been perfect if there were FAR LESS. As in maybe 2 or 3 on the whole board. What the f*** were these guys thinking calling this lucky and throw so many in that everyone lands on them. That’s the opposite of luck when there’s high chance of landing on one. This has ruined my favorite map, horror land, as there as far too many on it. Me and many others were nervous watching pre release footage and unfortunately it turned out to be true; there’s far too many of those to land on. Lastly, there is no way for 2 people (co-op) via one console to jump online with random people. This is also mind blowing and one of the biggest disappointments for me. I had my brother over to play and showed clip of online mode, jumping into the pipe and going straight at it with randoms. So you think he’d be able to pick up controllers and jump into right? Wrong. There is no way to do that. You can in Mario kart and smash, right? A nice sexy option that says one or two online? Yeah let’s throw that nice option out the window here. You can make a room with two people but then you have to send out codes and all that bs. I just want to quickly join match with two people from same console and play online like you can on single player. All of these negatives hold this game back from being truly great but it’s still good. My hope is there is patch/dlc later that can address these issues. Problem is it’s not in the base game. So releasing a Mario party celebrating the first 3 with 5 maps is dumb, lucky spaces need far less, online needs local co-op random matches online and slight tweaking to economy and we could have had 9-9.5 experience here. But, this is ND cube who are infamous for making some of the worst. So for me to give an 8 is good. I really like this game here and I know it’s mostly a review stating the negatives but the OCD side of me tends to look at those because I want perfection, which I know is hard to pull off in MP. But aside from the gripes it does feel like the original Mario party, which many of us wanted, without motion controls, online and good graphics. I hope they continue with dlc and patches.

I'm maybe 10 hours in and not really enjoying this so far. I played 3, 4 and 5 so far and even though 4 and 5 was kinda blah I must have enjoyed enough to finish. This one however is just not that good due to how stale the formula is getting at this point as others have mentioned. I think the tipping point the is how s*** the graphics are. I at least remember 5 looking really good which kept me **** in enough with the story as well. But this looks awful for "next gen" even though i get it was built for ps4 but this doesn't even have the snappy loading times. The story so far is pretty boring as well as characters. What seems really lame too is they have them all swearing left and right to look cool or something. Doesn't work. AI is atrocious too. Doesn't matter if you're spotted pull out the LMG and shoot everything. Rinse repeat for 100 hours. Not sure If I'll finish let alone go for that platinum but so far it feels like I'm at a job making myself turn the game on and try to get immersed. That's not how a game should make you feel.

This game was not a good game. Pre release had hyped this up as a more return to the original formula i.e. no cars (didn't even bother playing those) but couldn't have been further from the truth. This turned out to be a a major disappointment for various reasons as many other people have noted in reviews. - There's only 4 boards. These 4 boards can barely be considered boards as they have a small grid like structure. It's almost as they tried doing some kind of grid like formula, scratched it, and said well heres 4 let's make it work. They are painfully pathetic, aesthetically and playability. -Economy is bad. Stars are now 10 coins reduced from 20 of the original. Everyone gets coins from mini games also. -Golden warp pipe is broke. This ties in with last point but a golden pipe is 10 coins which can be farmed to buy over and over and then buy 10 coin star. Don't remember much of the other items but not good. -Dice block only goes to 6. No idea why they would change this but I'm sure it has to do with tiny boards for making this decision. -Ally characters also impede flow of game. If someone gets one, two, three or even four, (don't know how many you can get) they are able to lap the entire board it makes no sense. Now had they done it where you get an ally and can use their special dice ability, that would have been fine as that idea is the only decent new addition to the game. But it doesn't work that way they roll extra dice on the turn allowing for more travel on the tiny maps with broken economy. -Online support was a joke. This made it sound like, and I'm sure most people agree, that online meant you could play the maps online with others. Not the case of-course. You're allowed to compete in FIVE mini games online to see who wins. - And my least favorite I saved for last, motion controls & Joy Con. This is the worst aspect in that you cannot use the pro controller or even two joy cons. You have to use one joy con but it gets worse...there's motion control. I hated that about the Wii (least favorite NINTENDO console ever) but now you have to give high fives and other motion BS. Don't get me started on the motion control specific modes I'm sure as F*** not getting up pretending I'm in a marching band. And there you have it for reasons that ruin the game. But why 4 /10? Well, realistically I'm sure some kids and people out there will enjoy so even though I overall don't like it, I can see where some may enjoy it. Especially kids who never played originals. As an adult who grew up on the originals and probably too old for my age to be playing Mario party (F*** it) there's bound to be some young kids or dumb adults who will enjoy it. I, however, would not recommend this Mario Party.

The wait for this game is comparable to the Gun N' Roses Chinese Democracy album; just because it's been in development for 10 years does not mean it's a good thing. This is evident in the final product as you can see ideas sprinkled throughout that don't all add together well. After completing the story, I can safely say this was pretty disappointing overall The combat for example is not very satisfying. For the first part of the game, you can simply hold down the attack button with the occasional dodge/parry button prompt. Eventually you have more options such as magic, teammate techniques, etc but overall, there's a lot of holding down attack button. Warp striking feels like the only versatile option yet, not too satisfying. I rarely ever needed to use magic and using potions becomes a pain since there is no armor in the entire game. You can use accessories/boosts but plan on using hi-potions constantly. Why there is no armor beats me but being dressed in black leather the entire game looks ****. Also, I have yet to have the option to use a "summon" as this is prompt sensitive at random times. So in conclusion, you can count on holding O button, reusing potions, and warp striking to get your way to the end. The story Is not interesting. You will most likely be pretty confused as to what is going on and rely on the internet to sum it all up. You start off reclaiming your throne and towards the end, just gets confusing. Most importantly, I didn't even care what was going on at that point. Just be aware it gets confusing with some plot twist that make it more confusing. The story also tries to make you care about the bond of you and your friends, yet the characters are so terrible you couldn't care if any of them died. The graphics/setting looks pretty neat, like a final fantasy game. Some of the textures are a little ugly but overall pretty good. I think the roads, humans, real life product placement, etc take away from the fantasy setting unfortunatley. A lot of the land is pretty empty too which leads to the next point: pacing Where this game fails the most is the pacing. Getting from point A to B gets pretty tedious. The driving in the game is terrible and unnecessary. A lot of times you will want to fast travel (if you can) which can take some long loading times. Or you will have to fast travel to your car, then fast travel again to wherever. The best way of getting around is probably by chocobo. In conclusion, not too good. There are good moments of battle, exploring, hunting but sadly gets overshadowed my the flaws. When those moments do shine though, they can make for what could have been a stellar game. The development time shows evidence of these sporadic good/bad ideas. I'm at the point of extras after completing the game and I will say the option dungeon was pretty cool, although not the best reward. I'm hoping some of the extra dungeons, bosses are interesting too but after the story, it almost seems too late to fully get emerged into the experience. P.S. the music was a total let down...even the one good song from the demo "Noctis dream" isn't even in the game!

Something is fishy with all of the 10 and 0 reviews. This game is not perfect nor is it abysmal. While the graphics are stunning, that does not make a great game. The gameplay is not the best as it typically goes: climb **** shoot people, cutscene over and over. Story was not very captivating neither were any of the characters. Multiplayer was not as fun as, say, Last of Us. Overall, it was a decent experience but probably wont play again.
