Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
5
User ScoreTheWarriorMan
Jul 29, 2025
Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen is one of the most tedious gaming experiences I have encountered in recent times. The game presents several issues, particularly concerning the structure of the open world. While there is a wide array of activities available, including combat with various enemies such as goblins and formidable creatures like cyclopes, the interactions with characters are rather uninspiring. The narrative lacks depth and engagement. A typical main quest often involves retrieving an item or completing similar objectives repeatedly over the course of 10 to 20 hours of gameplay. The companions, referred to as pawns, are notably forgettable; they lack distinct personalities and meaningful interactions with the player. Consequently, players do not develop any emotional attachments to the characters, which diminishes the overall immersive experience. While this game may appeal to those who enjoy slaying beasts and defeating numerous goblins, it is essential to approach it with tempered expectations regarding narrative quality and character development.

This game stands out positively in the franchise. It effectively immerses you in the role of an assassin, with game mechanics that strongly reinforce that experience.

I recognize that the game has numerous bugs and issues, but it remains a fantastic experience due to its solid mechanics and compelling story. I genuinely enjoyed playing it, and it's impressive that a game set in 2077 can be so engaging! However, I do take issue with the jokes made about our creator, Jesus Christ.

This game is only marginally better than the third installment, but it lacks originality. It’s just another Sniper Elite entry, rehashing the same enemies we've seen in Sniper Elite 1, 2, 3, and 5. There should not be a Sniper Elite 6; we do not need the same game recycled for the sixth time. Enough is enough!

The story of this game is undeniably weak and unacceptable. I refuse to label it as a good game. A game cannot be considered good if it limits my ability to customize my character or weapons, restricts exploration, and prevents me from sniping whoever I choose while playing my way. This is not a good game by any standard. It feels like a mistake and is easily forgettable. I only chose to play it because, frankly, there was nothing better available in 2025.

This game is better than Fallout 4 and 76. If you enjoyed Fallout: New Vegas, you'll undoubtedly appreciate this one as well. It may have a weaker story and offer less to do or interact with, but it still delivers an engaging experience.

This is what a real Fallout game should be—far superior to the lackluster experiences of Fallout 4 and 76. The story is compelling and well-developed, and the mechanics, impressive for an unfinished title, truly enhance the gameplay. While playing, I not only grasped the essence of survival in the wasteland, but I also recognized that there is significantly more to this world than mere survival. Every quest in this game has true meaning and leaves a lasting impact.

Playing this superhero game offers a unique experience that distinguishes it from other titles. It introduces innovative elements to the action genre, making it a worthwhile choice. The game includes gore, nudity, and a significant amount of violence, all presented with a humorous twist. It is suitable for players aged 18 and older.

This game is one of the worst in the franchise, and it’s clear why. It feels like a toddler, not a competent writer, crafted the quests and story. The gameplay mechanics and customization options are severely lacking—this is not what we expect from a Fallout game. I refuse to engage in pointless activities like having a dog or managing settlers as if I'm running a government. Enough of this nonsense! Once you max out your weapons, you become so overpowered that you can eliminate the largest and most fearsome enemies with just one shot. This is utterly unacceptable!

One of the greatest RPGs ever created, right up there with The Witcher 3, this game is a must-play. It offers thrilling action, captivating characters, and so much more. You'll find a massive open world to roam as an outlaw cowboy, filled with intense gunfights, exciting hunting experiences, and unforgettable adventures.

This Resident Evil game does not align with the classics like Resident Evil 4 from 2005 and Resident Evil 5 from 2009. The writing and development of Jill's story seem somewhat unfinished, which is surprising given that it was released in 2012. While it may not reach the same heights as the earlier games, it is worth noting that it represents an improvement over Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

One of the standout titles in the Resident Evil series for me is one released before 2000. It features a compelling story, engaging gameplay, and mechanics that rival those of some modern games from 2024. While the slow door openings and unique camera angles may take some getting used to, I would still rate it an 8 out of 10 for its overall experience.
