A great game all round. It's fun, it's cute, the gameplay is so smooth and it was super polished at launch (with a few exceptions). This was another game I didn't want to put down whatsoever, and even bought again on the Switch. The campaign doesn't outstay it's welcome and I would say the pacing and difficulty is perfect. Will happily play this again some day.

The last of my hope for the Call of Duty franchise has withered with this release. Of course I'll still play it every now and then, it is CoD after all. But the drip-fed content is so slow that mid season 2 it just felt like I'd had enough. I ended up stopping playing it with fewer hours than I spent in Vanguard or Cold War which should say all you need to know. There isn't a single map I would class as 'good', and its not like they're adding more very often (even if they're already there in the big warzone map). The new extraction mode is laughably bad, painful to play and I'm happy to never touch it again. As for warzone, I was never a fan but did my time in Verdansk, and Warzone II is just terrible. There is no enjoyment to be had there. I don't see any of the little dinky updates saving this game, and I think this is where my experience with CoD ends. (Oh and this is the worst CoD campaign I may have ever played)

I get why people rave about this game, it's clear a lot of effort has gone into figuring out every possible interaction a player could have, however it doesn't help the fact that this gets old pretty quick. Unsurprisingly, a game about doing the same thing over and over again does get a little repetitive, even if it changes every time. I did manage to 'finish' the game at least so it can't have been the worst experience ever.

One of the most disappointing games I've ever experienced. I remember the old Reddit post showing off this games pre-alpha mechanics, and to be honest, the game is just a prettier version of that. There's nothing whatsoever to this game once the cute factor has worn off, and the story did not make me want to finish its even miniscule run time.

For the most part The Quarry was predictable and uninteresting. The gameplay of Until Dawn hasn't really been improved upon, and even the facial animation doesn't hold up to other modern games. It still feels as though they over-exaggerate every little facial expression past the point of realism. I was left feeling very disappointed in this game, especially at full price.

The 8 year old original is far better in almost every way. This game is genuinely terrible, mind-numingly boring and I never want to touch it again. It's like the worst culmination of every ubi-esque open world trope. Pointless copy paste objectives, terrible loot for completing said objectives, a bunch of numbers that are mostly meaningless on every piece of gear you pick up and so on. My biggest issue with this game is that combat just feels so bad. Its like you're hitting zombies with wet pool noodles. There's no impact, and basically every zombie in the game can take upwards of 5 hits to kill with decent weapons. It's also a surprisingly ugly game. The weapon designs are all just different lumps of metal, character models are just kind of bad and the world is just one big green/brown splodge. On top of this they launched the game with non-accessible features FORCED ON, like chromatic aberration and a ridiculous amount head bob. Unacceptable at this point to not have options to turn these off. I had to turn to mods on launch day to even be able to play the damn thing. In summation, I genuinely believe nearly every aspect of this game is a downgrade from the first. And areas where its not necessarily a downgrade, they didn't learn from the first. Like the god awful story and writing, which is as laughably bad as the first, but doesn't have the fun gameplay to carry it. Just don't buy it...

I'm surprised this one doesn't have more attention on it. It's a great little game that is limited in scope, but does what it does very well. It can be frustrating at times but not unfairly so, and definitely provides some good challenges. As well as the challenge the core gameplay is just fun, floating through space with only your arms to control yourself. I'd definitely recommend this game to anyone who just wants a nice short, fun gameplay experience.

I genuinely have no idea what people see in this game, I can only assume that the Marvel or GotG branding is carrying it. This game is one of the most unfun, uninteresting things I've played in ages. The gameplay boils down to holding the trigger and pressing a button when an ability is ready. The one thing I will give this game is that it looks incredible, and the writing can be genuinely good at times. The conversations amongst the guardians during missions is some of the most natural dialogue I've heard in a game. But this is completely ruined and wasted by almost all dialogue being cut off by: entering a new scene, accidentally interacting with another object or walking to far. A lot of the meaningful moments are also not earned by this game. If this was a stand-alone game and we didn't already know the characters, it would seem like some of the most half-arsed story telling, but it just about **** by because we all know who the Guardians are by now. Another major issue with the game is its animations, which is a big deal when your dfealing with what is essentially an interactive story game. The dead eyes during conversations, and weird faux-realism face twitches, it reminds me of Until Dawn, which while good for its time don't get me wrong, was years ago. Even just jumping, your characteer literally appears to teleport into the air and fall, rather than jump. Little things like this throughout the game really ruin any sense of presence in the world while you're controlling star lord. Last thing I'll mention, the puzzles. The non-combat parts of gameplay are essentially a LEGO game. And again, I love the old LEGO games but come on, they really couldn't have thought of anything more interesting? It's basically a matter of 'shoot the thing with the right bullet' or 'Tap the right character on same thing you've done 20 other times'. There's no gameplay, no skill, no solving, nothing interesting whatsoever. Honestly haven't stopped playing a game before finishing in a long time due to such utter boredom and I can't understand the overly high praise.

It's a decent game, that's pretty polished. The gameplay doesn't evolve much further than unlocking a few new equipment items, so if you don't enjoy it at the start you're going to have a bad experience. The grind to unlock new things is pretty well paced and makers you feel as though you are constantly making progress, although I don't know how it will feel once all characters have been maxed out. This is a review on gamepass, where I would say it is definitely worth trying out, however I'm not sure I'd pay £35 for it. It also **** that all the really nice cosmetics are obviously locked behind a paywall, that can't be earned by playing the game.

This review is of multiplayer only. Given its on the MW engine its leagues ahead of Cold War, but doesn't quite hit the mark that MW 2019 did. The attention to detail found in that game doesn't seem to be present here. If you want another COD to grind through, it's still fun, it's just not perfect. It feels strange that every COD now has to launch with the exact same issues every year, with the dev teams seemingly never learning from the mistakes of the last. I.e. launching with broken challenges, broken camos, broken spawns, glitched infinite killstreaks and overpowered shotguns. Most of these issues have been fixed within the first month, it just seems odd that they're all issues previous CODs seem to always launch with. Even the new map just added feels like it wasn't tested before releasing as the brightness is just randomly 100 times too high. All in all, its your pretty standard call of duty release. If you have the time to grind, you'll get your money's worth of enjoyment out of it.

Probably one of the worst launches I've ever seen in my life. Feels worse to play than any other battlefield before it. The gunplay is bad when it's working, worse when it's not. The queue constantly times out, or the game crashes, or the fps tanks. The maps aren't fun, the new hazard mode was touted as tarkov but in battlefield, its just an empty game mode with nothing to do. Glad I played it on EA access because I'd be mad if I spent £60 on this absolute pile of garbage. I remember battlefield 5's launch wasn't to great either, but it wasn't so bad as to force you to stop playing. This game doesn't seem salvageable to me, don't waste your time with it.

More fun than a lot of shooters I've played, and seems more focused on fun than grind. But it's certainly got it's issues, mainly with unlikeable characters, bad dialogue and a story that gets worse as the game progresses. There's also a mode which lets you hold all weapons at once, something I think should be a part of the main campaign as you're always limited to the two guns you're carrying. Also I should add, even though it's not a very recent game, the lack of accessibility options to reduce camera sway and shake is a shame. I had to take frequent breaks for motion induced headaches.

It feels like a good remake of AOE II but there's nothing that makes me want to play it for very long. It honestly just feels very basic, but maybe that's what people want from it. The menus for setting up 'skirmish' matches are awful, they have a few presets, but even just to set up a 4 player free for all with no teams takes way too long. I also think that the difference in difficulty levels is too large. The standard AI difficulty is challenging in a 4 player match, but dropping it down a level, the AI literally can't/won't do anything to stop you.

I was honestly surprised by how engaged I was with this game from the start. It mostly handles well even from a modern perspective, but then the classic 90s difficulty spike set in, making you re-run the same obstacles over and over from a distant checkpoint until you get every single button press with perfect timing. Obviously this is fault I have with the original game design, and I think the remaster as a whole was quite a good job.

It's hard to say if this game is too short, given the previous game was free, but for any paid experience I think I expect a bit of a longer play time. We experienced multiple issues where certain challenges didn't work, making us replay them for no reason when they failed, and we didn't feel too compelled to reply on the other side of the co-op. There's some world building going on, but it's not presented in any sort of interesting way and honestly just feels a bit pointless. I'll continue playing the series as they come out, but I'm sure I'll completely forget about this game in a few weeks.

In a world of overpriced, creatively lacking, morally bankrupt gaming, It Takes Two does everything right. They managed to fit so many ideas into a relatively small game, but they also managed to do each and every idea to a great standard. I think the studio really learned from A Way Out as to what does and doesn't work in this type of game. This game features far more variety in its gameplay and minigames, a more compelling story, and so much creativity. It never felt like too long was spent on any one section for it to get boring. This is the best game I've played in a good few years, and is by far the best co-op game experience I've ever had, and for what is just over half the price of the new 'AAA' standard, its an absolute no brainer if you have someone to play it with (and they can play with you for free!)

A very average title, we tried a little of the campaign but found it so mind numbingly boring we didn't continue, so the majority of my play time is in the PvP mode. It's fun, but its got issues, mainly the fact that you maybe only get 1 in 30 games where at least one person doesn't quit (not an exaggeration), There's also no progression if you're only interested in PvP, only some half-arsed weapons and character skins, which take around 30 matches to just unlock one at random. I would say this game is fun to mess around with friends for a bit, but not worth playing solo. A £50 price tag for this seems incredibly steep, I would say absolutely don't buy at that price, just play it on XBox Gamepass for a month, you'll be bored of it in that time.

A fun game that seemed to somewhat miss opportunities to make it great. The premise is good but I think they could have done more with it. The limited number of weapons and powers, and the mostly linear direction of the game make it unlikely that I'll give it a second playthrough. Through the course of a playthrough I had 5 crashes, which can lose you a fair amount of progress in this game due to not having any sort of quick save. This was on PS5 so if your concerned about that sort of thing hold off buying till they've had time to sort some issues out.
