Sonic Rush for the Nintendo DS, is a very good start to the Boost Formula, has very good, energetic and funky music (props to Hideki Naganuma), Gameplay feels very balanced and the story focuses on different personalities of both Sonic and Blaze, while focusing a bit of friendship and hope as well.

Miitopia is one of those games you can find quite enjoying, although I wish you can play as your team members as well, the combat system, the story and even the graphics look amazing. Somehow, people compare this Tomodachi Life and I don't see it. Sure Tomodachi Life is a good simulation game, Miitopia achieves more than that, and is a good sequel Tomodachi Life.
