Unmitigated trash filled to the brim with "modern audience" cliches. Visually, it would be nice, the idea of a princess saving themselves would not be bad even, but undermined by amateurish acting, bad writing, The "girl boss" trope is overplayed, it was obvious that certain characters cannot be bad persons. No surprise, no suspense, and the main actress is supremely unlikable, arrogant. I have nothing but disdain for this type of trash writing, arrogant acting, and extremely unlikable characters. I hope whoever greenlit this goes bankrupt, whoever promotes this will never get any business, and whoever thought this was a good idea will never be allowed near film making ever again. In the beginning when she was thrown down, She acted helpless for 3 seconds straight, then went to angry. Why was this necessary? She could have been the first one going there, realizing and being angry. that 3 seconds of "damsel" attitude ruined it. It was not helping that all of that was coming from a talentless actress who couldn't sell the damsel attitude.. I can totally see her with the angry - that is the kind of arrogant reply she would give anyone questioning her girlbossness.. How dare you question the girlboss? Tropes were overplayed and obvious. As soon as I heard the wonderful voice of the dragon that there won't be any dragon slaying in this one.. As soon as I saw the stepmother was PoC, I knew that it was a low IQ attempt at going against the typical "stepmother" tropes from older tales. It was blatantly obvious she cannot be a bad character, and she also cannot die.. There's also a lot to be said about the generic ideas of reducing father figures to apologizing, bumbling idiots, who need to be overcome by their brave and stunning daughters. Also how a man cannot lead a conversation or suggest things to do anymore, LOD-s first meeting with the prince played out with her insulting the prince, and immediately taking control of the conversation, and being obnoxious. Obviously whoever saw the trailer could tell this, not like a hidden thing or a theme you need to think too hard on. The whole move was made by arrogant, current day writers who couldn't make an interesting story even if their life would depend on it. Building up characters? Pff what's that? Logic? Nah, not for us.. Having anything beyond the absolute surface level? Oh no we can't have that.. Watching this movie made me unreasonable grumpy about it, since the visuals were great, camerawork was nice, set design was pretty good. If they would have just actually hire some good writers, and a less arrogant lead actress, then it could have been a very interesting film, something that I'd even watch more than once. As it stands this is something I can wholeheartedly NOT recommend. If you want to watch something that is actually good, go back to movies made before 2010 Anything without "The Message" - as the Drinker puts it.

Not even Chris can save this from the absolutely amateurish writing, constant bad "jokes" that the lame direction forced into this. Every minute there has to be a lame unfunny "joke".. I was facepalming most of where I was not dozing off. I've seen Strange and the multiverse not long ago, I thought that was bad, but this sets a new low.. Taika Waititi should never in the future should be allowed near movies in any capacity, because he creates incredibly bad movies.

This was a surprisingly good movie. I rarely see a faithful adaptation of a video game but I consider this one of them. I liked this actually more than the Mila J, series of films. As I was looking at RCPD building, visuals and environment I had pleasant memories surfacing of the original RE 1 game. Some casting choices were strange, I particularly didn't like the police chief and Jill Valentine, but regardless, I was able to enjoy this movie from beginning to end. I'd like to highlight the character of Effy (I know that's not your name, darling, but you'll always be Effy to me, no matter the role) She played the role of Claire Redfield very well. Some things could have been better, but all in all the singular description comes to my mind regarding the movie that it was faithfully adapted the RE1 game, that's a win in my book. Well done.

The viewing is fresh, so the review might be a bit chaotic but might adjust later as more things settle down. My first fear when I saw this was "please gods just don't let Neo be castrated and all the woman kick all the ass and save the day". Unfortunately, that fully happened. For that alone the move worth a few scores off. Neo did some ass kicking, but there was a clear agenda there that Woman have all the choice, Woman save everything and women are the bestest ever.. I think they should have added Neo a bit more agency. The fact that he was not able to get it up (the sky, when he was trying to fly) was showing everything about his character in this film.. Regarding the Ani-Neo, Smith - Well, I think that's also a botched effort, the first films were in equilibrium, Neo had Smith in strength equalling their own, here it just felt empty. "The Smith-Morpheus hybrid" was not really a great choice especially since they had a separate "Smith", who was there only to deus ex machina the failure situations and then left.. This would be a great opportunity to introduce a female antagonist to the story to keep a balance, if they made Trinity the new Neo, they should make a new female Smith or similar also. But I guess, it's 2021, you cannot have a female portrayed anything less than perfect nowadays, let alone be an antagonist.. The fight scenes I felt were pretty forgettable. I still remember when Neo was fighting 100 agents, or when they fought in the subway, with great detail, but for some reason none of the fight scenes in this move were memorable at all. I cannot recall a single instance of a fight scene that was "organic", or got enough focus. Fight scenes felt that they happened in their mandated time, and they sort of tried to make every fight a grouphug. Lot of people fighting a lot of people, mostly in places which are not really meant for fighting.. This was especially obvious with the Merovingian fight with the rainbow brigade.. Unmemorable, chaotic, and ultimately pointless, The Merovingian's character was a pointless callback with no substance, just to have a fight scene.. Like at the end in the coffee shop.. Neo's fight scenes were felt like he was bullied auntil he had a nerd rage. Not really though through, just sort of like "Ehh I don't like fighting at all, but ok let's fight" All in all I enjoyed the movie more than I have not, I liked how they painted the line between video games and the Matrix. The cooperation between machines and men are natural and was not bad at all. CGI was better than expected. Regarding design of characters, Eh.. Seen better.. I know you cannot go around the SJW aesthetic, still it was quite bad in some places (there was one character who's hair was soo ugly, I was like uhh.. You can have any hairstyle in the world, and you went with THAT??) The character of Morpheus was coming out as worst I think of all, felt like he was having too much fun with it, it wasn't as serious as the original (or not even as close to the rigid Smith) I want to give props to editing and cuts that were comebacks to the original films, sometimes mid sentence, that was executed well, but I must say the callbacks to the original movie was almost too much.. Almost.. I need to think about the movie a bit more, but I fear every time I do, the score will go down more. I guess we all should just say thanks that it was not more agenda fuelled than what it already was or what most people expected..

It's an OK movie, better than recent cinema pieces in recent years, but there are some cringy bad parts in it that pull it down from being a great movie. The first ~30m of the movie is very cringy, everyone behaves like an angsty teenager, the character writing there is immature, feels like it was written by a teenager for teenagers who think this is edgy / quirky but in fact it is irritating. The other factor that pulled down my score was MJ's character. Zendaya's smug "tell it to the white man" attitude I find superbly irritating, every time she opened her mouth I just wanted to skip ahead, she was easily the worse MJ character of all time. When she straight up told Dr Strange to shut up and say please, I was like "oh my god, just stop please skip ahead.. Soo cringy.. The rest of the move was OK, familiar characters create predictable nostalgia, CGI is acceptable. All in all not that bad with crappy parts.

Great movie. I expected quality and it was delivered. I wasn't sure what an anime Witcher would be, but to be honest there wasn't any odd part of it. A few tasteful monster boobies, a well placed wording, and good environments. If I'd have to criticize anything that would be the adult Vesemir, those pervs made it a ridiculously handsome dude other than that, it's superb animation and style, good story, appropriate amount of darkness and overall consistently good quality. Well done.

This movie would have been significantly better with Brendan Fraiser as the lead. The rock was .. too famous for this role, and to be honest a bit out of place as well.

Generally not that bad but there are some anchors that pull it down to the mud. I liked the performance from Raynolds, although it was a bit predictable. The absolute lowpoint of the movie is Waititi's "performance", that dude should not be allowed within 1km of any movie production. Absolutely talentless, superbly irritating and without any merit. Single headedly ruined this movie experience for me at least. The move is in par with Ready Player One otherwise, visual effects are similar as well, also the "necessary" product placements and irritating YT streamers. For some people there are some "trigger phrases like "white privilege" and "manbaby" so if you hate this kind of stuff, I totally not recommend this. This movie tries to reinforce stereotypes that all gamers are living in their mom's basement, and if you are playing a video game you are a bad smelling psychopathic **** Even the female gamers are portrayed as "nerdy" In my opinion the move does more harm to gamer culture then good. Although the core concept was not bad, interesting even and Raynolds's & Comer's performance was good, the adverts, the arrogant, stereotypical and condescending attitude of Waititi and the writers drags this movie to the mud.

Absolute unmitigated worthless garbage. I rarely see such worthless trash as this one. It has no redeeming qualities. I rarely wanted 1,5 hrs of my life back as much as after watching this.. It's basically an hour and a half of sticking to men while they just stand on the sidewalk with open mouth. I thought first that the music might be fitting, but more than 1 point in the film it was more distracting than fitting. After the mystical element was introduced with the gremlin, I expected the package to be somewhat connected to that. The movie would have been better if it would focus more on the mystical line. I don't mind the female lead at all but the fact that she saved literally everyone multiple times while all men were just babbling idiots on the side-lines there only to be hindering, berating, and eventually graveling on their knees in front of the main lead made this movie painful to watch. Characters were uninteresting to watch other than the main lead, I guess my main problem with this movie is that other than the main lead, the rest of the cast was forgettable, interchangeable, they had no story or focus, almost like the whole plane and mission could have been completed by the main lead alone. I expected significantly more from this move, but ultimately, it did not worth my time, it's not something I'd recommend to anybody for any reason other than torture.
