Sid Meier's Civilization VI4
Jul 14, 2017
This review is coming from someone who has enjoyed Civilization in the past. I would rate Civ5 an 8 or 9. So it isn't that I don't like Civilization. I just have a problem with this one. I want to like this game, I really do. Every so often I try to play, hoping for a fun and enjoyable experience, and every time I come out disappointed. There are many things that the game does really well, but the AI utterly ruins it. If you are familiar with the Civilization series, you should be familiar with the AI and how it is well, lacking to say the least. Well it's still horrid here. What makes this AI ruin the entire game for me is that it knows everything you do. Try to build a wonder? The AI knows you started building that and will not only begin building it as well, but it will specifically wait until the last possible turn to start. Just so it can beat you to it by one turn, losing you both the wonder and the 20+ turns of production you used to build it. You can't see what the AI does so you have no idea if they just started building Stonehenge. They can. Based on this, I bet the AI probably sees inside your territory without even so much as meeting you first. Maybe even the entire map. Even if they don't, should I even have to be asking these questions? Like I said in the beginning, there are good things about it and if you can get past an AI that blatantly cheats you might like this game. I can't rate it anything above red because I simply get little enjoyment out of playing it.

Sid Meier's Starships3
Nov 2, 2016
I see a lot of missed potential here. This could have actually been a really deep and interesting game but they just didn't spend the proper time on it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they just took some code from Beyond Earth and slapped this together in a month. Remember the space stage in Spore? Picture that but you can only visit about 30 planets. Yes I am not joking here. I was playing on the largest map available and there were about 30 planets. You may be wondering why I'm giving it such a high score when the game is so clearly terrible. Well even though this game is a terrible excuse for an anything Sid Meier at least has the decency not to charge 60 dollars for this. I got it for 15 which makes it at least somewhat worth it. That still doesn't change the fact that I'm using Spore which was a huge disappointment as a comparison to this game. Spore is better in nearly every way. And I think it's only 5 dollars now. Go buy that if you are thinking about purchasing this.

Sonic Colors6
Oct 22, 2016
While this is a lot better than some of the other titles in the Sonic series I can't say it's the "return of Sonic". As much as I think it is a step in the right direction it's just way too mediocre for me to give it the praise others have been. There are some levels that I had a lot of fun with but there were a large amount of levels that made me want to not even finish the game. The times I did find myself dying a lot never felt fair. Like one part where when I tried to double jump half the time nothing would happen. Or when I was on one of those trampoline things and it just stops abruptly. That's not a death you can prevent, it's just bad design. I think the reason people give it the praise that they do is that it's not as bad as Sonic 06. That's really what the game is. Not as bad as Sonic 06.

This game is one of the better titles for the Nintendo Gamecube. I like its originality especially. While there are some annoying glitches they don't make the game unplayable in the slightest. My only complaint is that it's very short.

Super Mario Maker6
Mar 10, 2016
I have mixed feelings about this game. On one hand it is a nice way to create levels and share them with people. On the other hand it makes me want to smash my gamepad. I like how you can create Mario levels with relative ease in this game. Of course if you want your levels to actually be how you want them to you've entered the real challenge in this game. The course creator is way too basic. I cant even count how many times I've had a great level idea only to find out it doesn't work. Not because there would be no way to do it but because I have no advanced options. I guess they have to make it easy to learn for all the ten year olds that play this game but it really makes me mad. Another thing I dislike about this game is how you can only upload so many levels. I understand why they limited it but for people like me who have no way of getting the word out and actually make decent levels it feels like I'm not being sold the full game. Unfortunately if you take away the limit you're left with even more terrible levels. You really have no way of winning. Maybe there should be a quality check where people can rate the levels but even that could be manipulated. This brings me to my next complaint. The terrible levels. So not only is the making part frustrating but the playing may be even worse. There are so many people who put no effort into their levels. They just get a bunch of enemies or just add a dev skip so they don't actually have to beat their level. I've played so many bad levels that I cant even think of anything clever to say about it. In conclusion this game is flawed. Very flawed. The fact that it is so expensive is even worse. But is it the worst game? No. Although it's definitely not one of the best things to ever come from Nintendo. Lets just hope that if they make a sequel they fix this.

I think this game is decent. It's definitely much better than most of the Wii party games. I played this with friends and had a fun time. I don't think it has very much replay value however. I was able to get this game for free so I don't regret getting it though.

Zoo Tycoon 2: Ultimate Collection8
Mar 9, 2016
This is a great game. Since the zoo is one of my favourite places to go this game is just right for me. There are many animals to choose from making the choice of animals not limited at all. There are some things that I dislike about this game but the good outweigh the bad by far. Also if you have marine mania you can keep dolphins! Who doesn't like dolphins?

Pikmin 37
Mar 9, 2016
This was overall a decent experience. This is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. The enemy designs were great and they did a great job making the areas as good as possible. However as a Pikmin veteran I have some complaints. The biggest being the time limit. Even though in reality I would have to play like an 8 year old to actually lose I still hate the feeling that you have a set time and that's it. It was this thing **** at me for my entire playthrough. Another thing I hate is that there is no Piklopedia. If you don't know what that is it is basically the best thing in Pikmin 2. I'm not saying this is a bad game I'm just saying that it needs improvements to be a truly great game. There are other things I dislike about this game but I don't want to be typing until 3am.

This game although repetitive is really fun. You basically kill everything! I especially like it when I'm stressed or feeling hatred for the human race. There is a nice variety of characters to choose from as well. One of my complaints is that I had to go through hell and back to get all the weapons in the game (not the upgrades just the basic weapons). If it was hard for me to do imagine how some 10 year old who wants to get everything is going to fare. However this game has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a game. Combined with beautiful graphics this game is everything you desire in a game like this. Buy it if you like killing things!

I actually kind of like this game. It's not perfect by any stretch. It's repetitive and limited but I still kind of like it. It isn't great but it isn't terrible either. Do not buy this game just because of this review. There are many people who dislike this game. You might be one of them so make sure you figure it out before purchasing.

This game can go 2 ways for me. Either super fun or so annoying I want to smash my gamepad. The speed is insane. If you crash once you will find yourself in last place almost every time and it goes so fast I have no way of dodging some of these things without slowing to a halt. It's an okay game at best.

I'd say it's okay at best. It's not the best PC shooter by far. It may be cheap but I got much more play time out of more expensive shooters. When I did play it was an absolute nightmare to join a match. I eventually became more invested in the Youtube video I had playing while matchmaking (yes it was that bad) than the game itself. I gave it a chance though.

10-in-1: Arcade Collection3
Mar 9, 2016
This game is basically a very limited collection of some retro games. REALLY limited. The fact that it's mobile saves it a little bit. If it was for something like the Wii U that I cant conveniently have in my pocket, there would be nothing to save it. Most of the games are garbage that are kind of fun for about two rounds before you never touch them again. Some of these games could be corrupted right now and I have no idea. I really don't care if they are. I think I got this for a dollar or something like that. I would say it's probably worth a dollar. Get this at your own risk.

The fact that you don't have to spend a singe penny to play this game is awesome. Notice how I say game and not demo. The full game is really more of an expansion pack if anything. The fact that it's multiplayer makes it that much more appealing. Seriously you have no reason not to have this game. NO REASON!

This app is only useful for one thing which is transporting Pokemon from previous generations to your gen 6 games. I've never needed 3000 spaces to store pokemon. The last time I bred hundreds of pokemon I deleted all the non shiny ones after it was over. I didn't store them all. I think the ingame PC is more than enough to store everything. After you're done with transport there will be no more use for this app.

Mar 9, 2016
This game is a solid remake of the original games of generation 3. I love how they added so many features making this even more enjoyable. They toned down the difficulty which I disagree with but it was still a decent experience. The new mega evolutions are better than the ones in X and Y in my opinion. If you play competitively this game is great for that. If you are a Pokemon fan you need to buy this.

Pokemon Y8
Mar 9, 2016
This game is one of my favourite Pokemon games. It is the first in the series to abandon sprite graphics which is a much needed update. The new graphics look beautiful and the developers love to show it off in this game with various bench views. I think the mega evolutions are great but I have a problem with them. As someone who loves to see diverse teams I hate the fact that mega evolutions discourage diversity even more which is annoying to me since I want them to encourage it. Other than that there is the story which if you've ever played a pokemon game you already know. But no one actually plays for the story. I also really liked pokemon amie and the wonder trade is decent. The GTS is terrible though. A few seconds of being on there proves that when you see all the caterpies that will stay there forever because no one in their right mind would trade one of those for an Arceus. In conclusion you should buy this. The good outweigh the bad by far.

IRONFALL Invasion2
Mar 9, 2016
This game is terrible. Most flash games gave me a better experience than this. I hate the controls. The stick on the new 3ds is so bad for aiming. If they had used something like the Uprising controls maybe I could actually aim at the enemies. The voice acting is horrendous. Is it really that hard to put a little bit of emotion in your lines? You're actually trying to sell this game right? The only reason why I'm not giving it a 0 is because the worlds do look somewhat decent. Unfortunately for this game I value gameplay over graphics. It's also very repetitive becoming boring at parts. Trust me. The demo will give you more fun than the entire game ever would. I'm just glad I played it on a friends system so I didn't spend a penny. You'll most likely have to actually pay for this mess.

I like this game. Since it's for 3ds you can play it anywhere which is nice for times when you're away from home with nothing to do. The gameplay is the same as the previous games but with miracle cures added. It's only about 7 dollars and I would definitely say it was worth it.

I bought this game while I was waiting for Smash to come out. While it was decent back then I have since been unable to enjoy it. It is worse than Smash in every way. Less stages, Less weaponscharacters and bare bones gameplay are only a few of the problems I have with this game. Just don't download this if you have or are going to get Smash as it will become useless space on your SD card.

Mario Kart Wii7
Mar 9, 2016
I think that this is a good game. However I think it would be really nostalgia blind to give it a ten. I played it and I didn't enjoy it as much after the release of Mario Kart 8. There are some great tracks and I loved the battle mode. I played that mode so much. Battle mode is the reason why I come back to this game. Unfortunately online play has been discontinued so you wont be having as much fun with battle mode as I did. However if you are a Mario Kart fan and you haven't you need to buy this. That's all I have to say.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time8
Mar 9, 2016
This game was pretty enjoyable. I really liked a lot of things. Since this game is so heavily filled with puzzles they are a huge part of my score. Most of them are pretty good. The dungeons themselves are well made since I felt genuinely scared at certain parts. Something not a lot of games can do to me. The story is a bit lacking on its own however when put into the timeline it is better. I wouldn't say this is the best Zelda game though. It is certainly up there though.

Jan 31, 2016
This game has made me give up on the sims entirely. I spent the price of a full game for something that feels like a demo. To this day I still come back to this game and play it for hours. Whether it's to play with my sims, Build houses, or burn them mercilessly. It's much better than sims 4. SimCity2
Jan 31, 2016
This game is the perfect example of what happens when you rush a game out for sales alone. The city sizes are tiny and things don't work how they're supposed to. The sims are terribly programmed causing one of my roads to be stuck in gridlock and the other almost completely empty. Once I reached a high enough population my sewage system stopped functioning and my city was ruined. When a game requires mods just to work you know it's a bad game. Don't buy this. It's bad even with mods.

I enjoyed this game. The space age kept me entertained for awhile. However the other stages of the game are only fun the first time and become a chore rather quickly. Animal Crossing: Wild World5
Jan 30, 2016
I love the Animal Crossing series but this is my least favourite out of the main series games. If I was writing this before New Leaf I would have rated it a 7 but this is after New Leaf. It has less features compared to the gamecube version which is to be expected on worse hardware. I have attempted to get into this game multiple times but it would start to feel like a chore at just the 3rd day. The town is also way smaller than in Gamecube and the villager limit is the lowest in the series. In conclusion if you have played Gamecube or New Leaf before this game will be a bore. However it is good for things like long car rides.

I love this game so much. It has some of the best graphics iv'e seen on the gamecube. The enemies are very creative. The randomly generated dungeons make the game fun even when going through multiple times. The music is perfect. I love this game.

Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival0
Jan 30, 2016
This game fails on all fronts. It's one of the worst games that ever came out of Nintendo themselves. It's a complete money grab and the perfect example of what not to do with amiibos. When your sole functionality is a button press why even bother. I actually had the same amount of enjoyment from watching the game on Youtube with no commentary than I did actually playing it. Basically this one review I found describes it perfectly: Before you buy Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, grab a dice and roll it. If it lands on an even number, you win. If it lands on an odd number, you lose. If you had fun and enjoyment out of that, Amiibo Festival may then be for you. If not, you should look elsewhere. So in conclusion don't buy the game. Even the most die hard Animal Crossing Fans will just feel insulted. I sold the game for a quarter of the price labeled do not buy this.

Just to get this out of the way i'm a huge Animal Crossing fan. I would say it's my favourite series. Unfortunately this game lacks what makes the others so addicting. I am aware this game is a spinoff but it failed to grab my attention for more than a few days since designing rooms is ALL you do. I have a lot of fun designing houses in the main series but it is FAR from the only thing you do. I would say this game is more like an art program than an actual game. But hey at least it's better than Amiibo Festival.
