Iron Man 37
May 4, 2013
It's a good movie. It is certainly better than Iron Man 2 which was only made to promote The Avengers but it is not nearly as good as the first Iron Man. There are so many plot holes and some stupid moments. Overall it is a fun film and it is worth watching in the theater because of the great special effects and action sequences. It has snappy and funny dialogue and all the performances are good. Not bad at all, but this film feels like an appetizer before the main meal which will be Man Of Steel.

A Good Day to Die Hard1
Apr 29, 2013
What an absolute piece of GARBAGE! This is one of the worst movies of the year. It is horribly lazy and bad. The dialogue was horrible, the actors didn't look like they cared, and the director was incapable of using a tripod throughout the entire movie. It was a studio cash-in to make money off of the "Die Hard" name. It isn't "Die Hard" anymore. It is just a generic dumb action movie with unlikable characters, bad pacing, confusing action sequences and horribly unfunny jokes. "I'M ON VACATION!" If you are a fan of "Die Hard", don't watch it. If you aren't don't watch it. I could not recommend this film to any human being on the planet.

The Croods6

While not horribly memorable or spectacular, it is a good kids film. The animation is nice and flashy and the characters have nice little arcs throughout. The first 10 minutes were bad and the end was cheesy but the rest of the film is funny and colorful. That'll be enough to entertain your kids and to keep parents from pulling their hair out.

The Call5
Apr 29, 2013
The first two acts of this film are great. It is intense, suspenseful and emotional. All the performances are good and it is very well paced. The problem comes when the third act starts. It turns from a twisted thriller into a dumb generic "Silence of the Lambs" ripoff. I would recommend watching the movie and walking out an hour in.

A Haunted House1
Apr 29, 2013
The writers for this film put no effort and time into this script so I will do the same for my review. This movie is nothing but fart, poop, piss, racist and gay jokes. It is garbage. Plain and simple.

Side Effects8
Apr 29, 2013
This movie is extremely well done. Every element from story to acting works. It is tightly constructed, highly engaging and managed to hold the audiences attention the whole time. Rooney Mara is proving to be one of the greatest upcoming actresses as she plays the most fascinating and deceiving character in the film. Jude Law does a fine job and everyone else is good. Steven Soderbergh's superb direction and sense of pacing makes this one of the greatest thrillers I've seen this year. Then again, it is only February.

The Last Exorcism Part II1
Apr 29, 2013
There is absolutely no reason to see this movie. It was clearly made just for money. Since the movie barely put any effort in entertaining the audience, I will barely put any effort into writing this review. Some say this movie should've gone straight to DVD. No. This movie should've gone straight up the directors ass so no one will ever be able to see this abomination.

The Host3
Apr 28, 2013
The biggest sin of this film is that it is so dull, it is completely forgettable. I saw the movie a while ago but I can't remember a single thing about it. Acting is subpar, the story is sloppy, action is dull, interesting sci-fi concepts are barely explored and the hackney love story is generic and boring. There is nothing about this movie that I hate, but there is also nothing I like. It is just lazy garbage made to cash off of the success of Stephanie Myers far more popular and unintentionally funny Twilight franchise. I would recommend this movie if you enjoy watching paint dry.

Oblivion5

Everything about this film is AVERAGE. The acting is AVERAGE, the story is AVERAGE, and the action is AVERAGE. The only thing above AVERAGE in this film is the score and visuals. Everything in the film seems familiar. Most audiences that like this film haven't seen all the other movies it's stealing from. Films being ripped off include Moon, Independence Day, Star Wars, 2001 and The Matrix. The lack of originality makes this film extremely predictable because we've seen all these elements before. The movie is comprised of every science fiction cliche combined into one film and distributed to the public. If it was more original and more tightly constructed it would be a far more entertaining and thought provoking picture. But as it stands right now, it is AVERAGE.

Pain & Gain7
Apr 28, 2013
Pain in Gain is what I consider to be the beginning of the big dumb summer films. While it is not as action pact or EXPLOSIVE as other summer films as well as other Michael Bay films, it is certainly one of the most crazy films I've seen in a while. It sounds like the dumbest plot ever until you are reminded that the story being told is based on actual events. The film is great for what it is and considering other Michael Bay films, this is definitely one of his better ones. Michael Bays "style" works well with this story and all the acting is good. Marky Mark does a fine job but the star in my opinion is Dwayne Johnson who is a riot. Besides a few dumb moments and some pacing issues I think this movie is extremely entertaining and funny. It's a shame it's not getting as much praise at it deserves because Michael Bays name is on it but overall, it is worth a watch.
