I love the Battlefield franchise, and it pains me to give a game I had such promise for a rating like this, but it is truly the state of the game at the time of writing this. As of now there is just so much wrong with the game. If you are playing on the older generation of consoles, the delay is so bad the game is nearly unplayable. For the newest generation of consoles, there are still problems with his registration. The decision to go with specialists instead of the traditional solider/class system was a big mistake. The specialists do have the traditional classes rolled into them to an extent, though it does not work very well. Gameplay is not enjoyable, as vehicles such as the Volte, Nightbird, and more are extremely overpowered, to the point where they are game breaking. There are certain guns as well such as the K30 among a few that are leagues above the rest, which puts newer players who do not have these guns at a disadvantage. In addition to all of this, when you are downed, there is a decent chance your character will be half inside a wall, which makes teammates unable to revive you. I'm honestly not sure this game can be salvaged. With other games recently released such as Halo Infinite that I am playing much more of now, and even returning to Battlefield 1 instead, I think this game might be in a doomed state. Player counts being higher in Battlefield 1 and 5 seem to suggest this as well. I do hope I am wrong though.

DICE truly outdid themselves with this game. It is a cinematic masterpiece at every level. You truly feel like you are a solider fighting in the horrific battles of World War I. Even though the game released about 5 years ago from the time of this review, the graphic still feel great. The operations game mode is the best this game has to offer, as the immersion is at its peak here, fighting true battles of World War I with war cries and charge whistles aplenty, combined with the occasional soldier mental breakdown. Immersion and cinematic value aside, the gameplay is also top tier. The gun play feels very balanced, as there isn't one gun that seems to be truly leagues above the others. The classes feel as perfectly balanced as can be, as each one has an important role, and there doesn't feel like there is one far above the others. Vehicles are powerful, though can be destroyed and are not game breaking. In my personal opinion, this is the best Battlefield DICE has released.

Halo Infinite is easily the best Halo game since Halo Reach and one of the best the franchise has to offer. The Master Chief continues to develop further as a character behind the armor, and new characters worked greatly in this campaign, proving to nearly all be very interesting characters. The Banished might be the best faction Halo has introduced yet, maybe a hot take but I think they might get there eventually. The multiplayer feels like the most fun I've had on a Halo multiplayer in decades. The core gameplay is absolutely fantastic. Obviously, the shop can be fixed and a few more game modes need to be added, but 343 has already stated they are working on both of these. The game is already very good, give it another month or two and this game should very well be a titan of the Halo franchise. This is exactly what Halo needed after Halo 5. Halo is back, and this is an amazing new step for the franchise.

WW2 again. Totally not seen before in 5+ other games in this franchise! The passion for Call of Duty is dead, it’s basically turned into the FIFA/Madden of FPS games. The game's extremely buggy, has one of the worst zombies modes in the entire series, poor characters, and a bad story in general that seemed to be very political with character choices. They don’t care about the product, just the fact it gets them profit. Just a common Activision L.

I wouldn't pay attention to the Metacritic score. Being a player who's played the game since Day 1, the game wasn't great at launch, yes, but in 2020 it almost isn't recognizable when comparing it to its state at launch. Lootboxes have been removed for a long time, our fan favorite heroes such as Anakin, Obi-Wan, Grievous, and Dooku were added into the game, requested reinforcements like the ARC Trooper, Clone Commando, Commando Droid etc. were added, and even Capital Supremacy, a call back to the original Battlefront 2's famous game-mode of control points and interior ship battles, was added into the game. It's a shame EA cancelled the game when they did, because if they let it go on a little longer it likely would have become the best Star Wars game out there with heroes like Ahsoka, Ventress, Padme, and Cad Bane that were in development. Even still, this is one of the best Star Wars experiences you can have, and I could not recommend it more.

Cod has essentially become the Madden and 2k of FPS games. Rushed out by year for the sake of money, never really anything groundbreakingly different about the game. Always the same shot in the back multiplayer year by year with some different abilities and weapons. It’s playerbase mostly consists of the same hypebeats that play Fortnite. This franchise has declined a lot from its prime, kinda sad to see.

You can feel the passion that was put into this game by Insomniac. The story is fantastic, the game-play is great, and this game would for sure easily win Game of the Year if Red Dead 2 hadn't come out this year. It still could, but it'll be close.

World War 2 games have been extremely overdone, but if you want to compare this to Battlefield 1, it's an absolute joke. This is in no way accurate to the actual WW 2, almost as inaccurate as Cod WW2, and shoves political agenda down your throat. A rather bad and forgettable installment into the Battlefield franchise.

This game is a big "screw you" to all the older fans of the game. I've been playing Call of Duty since MW1, and have not liked the direction this franchise has been heading since Ghosts. I had a lot of hope for BO4, but the removal of campaign mode for battle royale clearly shows who they're catering too. They only care about the 10 year olds, and not about us veteran players. I'll be moving on from CoD now. Thanks for the fun years in the past, but those years have been long gone for me.

*Sigh*. F%@$!ng Ghosts.... the downfall of Call of Duty. Coming after Modern Warfare 3, this game had some high expectations. I remember the hype for this game. One of the biggest disappointments in gaming I think. The campaign was god awful when comparing it to its predecessor MW3. Hell I dont even remember the main characters name. The multiplayer is terrible, and extremely frustrating. You have no chance to react to any shots from behind, resulting in an instant and guaranteed death from being shot in the back. I really hope they can rebound of this extreme pile of crap.

The whole idea of the Phantom animatronics has never clicked with me, as I don't exactly get how hallucinations could effect a building so much.
