Fallout 410
Nov 13, 2015
You know, I almost didn't even purchase this game due to the overwhelming negative scores here. I love the fallout series so I bought it anyway hoping they were all trolls. Sure enough they were. This game is not without issues and the story isn't very exciting at times but this is a fantastic game and a must play for any RPG gamer or Fallout enthusiast. Ignore the negative reviews. Real score is 8/10 but I'm trying to help offset so many 0's from all the trolls.

Natural Doctrine9
Jul 25, 2015
This game will absolutely kick the button mashing casual gamer's behind. I am a strategy RPG enthusiast. It has always been my favorite type of game. Chess is my favorite board game as well. This game feels like a game of chess in every battle with each piece having distinct weaknesses and advantages in comparison to other pieces. If playing Chess on steroids sounds like your cup of tea then Natural Doctrine is for you. It is not for the weak of heart or easily frustrated but if your looking for a challenging game demanding you make every action count this is the game for you. Look at it as a turn based Dark Souls and there the game is.

Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed9
Jul 25, 2015
This title is very targeted for its audience. The Akibahara area of Japan is recreated very well as I lived in Japan for three years and visited the area multiple times. The story is completely off the wall but that's not the selling point of the game. The game is slightly perverse but the concept is actually quite fun. Tearing clothes off Synthisters (vampires) who are brave enough to wander around the streets of Akiba is just plan fun. There are many different strip styles you can obtain during the game, multiple endings, tons of weapons and clothes to choose from, and many stores that actually exist in Japan to buy items from. The only reason I ding the game is for overly advertising real stores during the game. At some points I almost feel like I'm playing a giant advertisement but other than that I loved this game.

Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess7
Jul 25, 2015
I really wanted to give this game high marks because the cover looks sweet and the game lured me in as I am a huge fan of Japanese titles. I was let down by how frustrating the game can be. It is a very fun game if you enjoy nosebleeds from the anyurism you will likely get from the stress of retrying missions over and over again to get the timing absolutely perfect to achieve the requirement to unlock a new trap or the star version of a trap in quest mode. The game also forces you to re-select all of the traps for each mission if you have to retry, which is pretty lame when you may have to retry some of the later stages 10+ times if your not extremely good at the game (me lol). It isn't all bad though. The game is entertaining and it is rewarding when you finally pull off some of the more insane trap setups you have put together. Overall I would say the game is fun and different but should be taken in small doses to avoid burnout from pure frustration.

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos10
Jul 25, 2015
Reviewers were a bunch of haters. This game was meant to be quirky and not taken to seriously. It's all about having fun playing a game with gorgeous babes, zombies, and a corny yet interesting story. Comparing this to a US made triple A title is just one of the shortfalls "professional" critics have. They will rate these half arsed indie games with high 90's but god forbid a Japanese import meant to be light hearted and fun to play get anything above a 50 or 60. These guys are a joke. Also the people giving this game low scores don't even bother to leave a comment. The game is actually around a 7 or 8 for me but I give it a 10 to offset some of the unjust hate toward this unique and fun to play game.

The Order: 18868

I was a bit baffled by all the bad reviews for this game. It was quite short with almost no replay value but the story and gameplay were quite good. There could have been a lot more room for battles with lycans but it made the time you did get with them more thrilling. For $60 the game is too short and offers to little I will admit but waiting for price drops and buying a used copy for $30 bucks or so makes it a very worthwhile purchase. I enjoyed the game I just wish I waited for the price to drop a bit due to how short the game is. I earned platinum in under 7 hours playtime, which is quite sad for a AAA title.

Aaru's Awakening4

You know I found this game just as enjoyable as OlliOlli2, which got an 86 I believe in the critic score. This game is a crap fest but so are a lot of other indie games. The simplicity of indie games doesn't make them attractive and this game really highlights that. Indie games like Transistor really hit the sweet spot for indie games. Tolerable graphics, ok story, and amazing mechanics that bring the game to life. Indie game developers should really understand that the massive hit to graphics has to be countered by something. You can't make a bad story with awful 2-bit mechanics on top of Super Nintendo graphics and expect a good reaction from players. It is simply unacceptable. I give the game a 4/10 out of pity for its "awefullness"....I know that's not a word but its a special word for a special game =-).

Fez4

I enjoyed FEZ for the first hour or so but this title really began to get old quickly. With practically no story and puzzles with repetitive themes the game quickly loses what little luster it has going for it. The spot in a movie bolstered a lot of mainstream support for this title and got players hyped for it but most have been sorely let down. The title fails to deliver in almost every aspect. Indie games aren't meant to have cutting edge graphics but they have to make up ground in other areas such as ingenuity of mechanics and a fantastic plot but FEZ does neither. I rarely give 10's but no game deserves a 0 either. I give the game a pity 4 for trying something different.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt9
May 23, 2015
First off, this is one of the best games I have played in a long time. It is challenging but without getting to the point of pure frustration. The massive world is open to explore and leaves the player in charge of where to go and when. This game should help up the standard for open world RPG's in the future. Too many developers are getting lazy and taking the easy way out by going with the same things that worked before. Taking risks, trying something new, and leading the way for future titles of this genre is exactly what the Witcher 3 does.

Mortal Kombat X8
May 23, 2015
I enjoy the occasional fighting game but am by no means a fighting title fanatic. I rarely play fighting titles other than Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter and even then I burn out quickly but Mortal Kombat X kept me playing well beyond my normal fatigue point with fighting games. I spent over 20 hours playing the first week it was released and I have a wife and three kids =-0. The reason I only gave it an 8/10 is because it is like a mirror image of its predecessor. The story and some slight mechanics tweaks are the only differences and lets be honest not many people buy Mortal Kombat for the story mode. That makes the differences practically invisible and even many of the X-rays are so similar they started out boring because I have seen them many times in the previous title. Now that I've said that I'll explain why I love Mortal Kombat X. The clans, living towers, custom multiplayer matches, and profile bonuses based on your portrait, emblem, etc. Ranking up and supporting your clan keeps me playing for hours feeling like their is a point. The steady changing of the living towers for the hourly, daily, and weekly towers keep it fresh and provide players with a reason to keep playing months after release. The new match conditions are fun and entertaining with friends and provide hours of fun matchmaking that feels fresh for a long time because of the wide variety of match conditions that can be set. Overall the game could have tried harder to be more original but still offers enough new content to be a great title.

DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition7
May 23, 2015
I have always been a DmC fan since its conception years ago on the PS2. The series has always been action packed and full of hidden events and weapons keeping players busy replaying levels to find every secret for hours on end. I would have given the original a 10/10 but this is just a simple graphical update being resold on PS4 to try and drain the players pockets who are avid fans of DmC. Releasing an old game with no new features or additional content is a slap in the face to gamers that screams Capcom isn't interested in anything but profits. I highly recommend steering clear of this title unless you absolutely have to have the graphics update or missed out on the PS3.

Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones8
May 23, 2015
As some other reviews have mentioned it doesn't quit live up to the first installment in this great indie series but it stands in its own right as good title. The games soundtrack and challenging puzzles in each level along with some entertaining storyline made the game enjoyable for near the entirety of the game. There are some moments where the challenge can become more frustrating than enjoyable but overall an excellent indie title in my book.
