Seriously engrossing story, characters that stick with you long after the credits roll, a gorgeous fantasy setting with console showcasing-level visuals (I'll take the limited FPS to *finally* get to play a game that actually looks next-gen) and a masterful soundtrack. To me, that's the ingredients to a great Final Fantasy game. And to the crybabies who are bashing the combat without even giving it a chance: get over yourselves. The game is a whole lot of fun to play.

This game (and series) is a shining example of writing, storytelling, and character development in video games. Needs to be released on modern platforms in the West- I had to dust off my Vita to play through the trilogy. Story starts off pretty slowly, but do me a favor and stick with it. You won't be disappointed.

The sequel to the best game ever made is the best game ever made. How, and where, Nintendo sources its magic and creative genius, will likely forever remain a mystery. Exploring, charting the land, making discoveries, using your brain to solve puzzles in an indescribable amount of ingenious ways. Perfect ambient soundtrack and accompanied effects. Not a glitch or game-breaking bug to be found. When I'm playing it I don't want to stop, when I'm not playing it, it's all I can think about. It is perfection embodied.

Breath of the Wild is the best game ever made, and I've been playing them for over 30 years.

I can't wait until the day comes where computers know how old someone ACTUALLY is. Then we can finally start blocking out these 12 year old review bombers, or at least adding a giant warning label to their words of wisdom. Giving a ZERO to a great game because you have one nitpick doesn't make you edgy or intellectual it makes you a giant, stinky ****. Game is probably more like a 9, but giving a 10 to help balance out the children in the room.

The G.O.A.T. If Sonic got me interested in gaming, this is the game that got me hooked. The most influential game in the history of gaming- there are still systems from this game used in every 3D action/adventure game to date. Everything from lock-on targeting, first person aiming, puzzle design, context sensitive buttons, inventory management, semi-open world design, to basic 3D controls and camera systems: you have this game to thank for it. Having one of the most memorable soundtracks in the history of this medium is just icing on the cake.

Fun characters, fun story, surprisingly laugh-out-loud funny- one of the most purely enjoyable games I've played in a very long time. Had zero expectations for this game and almost didn't end up giving it a chance at all. Going from that to my favorite game of 2021 is a feat in itself.

I f**king love this game. Top 3 in the series, easily. Battle system is a perfect evolution for the series, usual colorful cast of characters, gripping story, great graphics, and another excellent soundtrack. Other than maybe FF7R, this is the best JRPG you can get on current gen. Expect some crashing on Series X, but that's really the only negative thing I could dock it for.

A work of art... and probably the most impressive game I've ever played from a technical standpoint.
