This game is the worst but also rocks. The dialogue in the first hour and a half is filled with every anime trope possible, with hints of a sinister undertone. Once that second act begins, it becomes an experience everyone should try at least once. Unsettling, disgusting, and downright terrifying at moments, Doki Doki is a genius game that I thoroughly enjoyed throughout my playthrough. Even though it almost made me throw up multiple times.

Man is it terrible. Floaty controls, awful movement, boring level designs, and a protagonist I would rather strangle than play an epic adventure with. Borderline impressive how you can screw up a 2D platformer this bad.

TT games need to realize that no one wants a change in the gameplay. The older Lego Games were fun and lighthearted kid's games. This game is still very easy, but it's also boring and interesting. Rather than telling a unique story based on the already existing Ninjago IP, they just use cutscenes from the movie that loosely translate to gameplay. Make a real Ninjago game please.

What an odd release. It looks stunning as the first smash game in HD, the roster is phenomenal, and the smash formula elevates any game to a high score. So why only a 7? For starters, the single player is asinine. You're better off playing against a level 1 CPU than playing Smash Tour. The online matchmaking is also terrible. Elite Smash is not a perfect system, but it is infinitely better than For Glory. But all of that pales compared to the sheer brokenness of some of the characters in this one. Up-airs can kill you at 30 with rage. Bayonetta can 0 to death you with no real effort. Mario deals 60 percent to you off one grab. Cloud Strife is in this game. With a more balanced approach, this could have matched up to Melee and Ultimate, but as is, this is Brawl 2 in HD with no Subspace.

WOW. Best crossover ever, screw Fortnite. It's infinitely fun and replayable, not to mention a roster balanced to near perfection despite its massive scope. With a more solid single-player offering, it could be one of the best games ever, but for now, it's the finest entry in one of the consistent series in video games.

What a wasted opportunity. Unique character designs and a banger soundtrack paired with some of the least interesting gameplay yet in a fighting game. The rock, paper, scissors loop gets tiring almost immediately, making this one of the biggest "what-ifs" in the Switch's library. Hopefully it gets a sequel that takes this game to the next level.

This game goes crazy. While lacking the memorable IP present in a game like Shredder's Revenge, Streets of Rage 4 is a memorable experience from front to back. Pulling off crazy combos on these punching bag enemies while a killer soundtrack backs you up is a feeling few games can accomplish. But that's the issue, there isn't a lot of this game. With only a 4-hour runtime, it leaves you wanting far more than it gives you, which will hopefully be realized in future entries.

Very nice, complete product! So many RPGs have a steep time commitment that it makes them almost unapproachable. In tandem with often cringy anime dialogue and repetitive combat, it's very difficult to recommend an RPG to another gamer. But Super Mario RPG smashes conventions by being a 10-hour laugh-fest that's enjoyable from beginning to end. The combat is fun, the characters are fun, and Mario is very cute. What more could you want?

AHHHHHHHHH I LOVE CUPHEAD SO MUCH IT'S SO FUN. Anyone who reviews this game unfavorably is just bad at the game, I don't make the rules. Unreal animation paired with enjoyable run-and-gun gameplay creates a game that is difficult to get the hang of, but once you do, you get to set back and enjoy the artistry in front of you.

I think we all collectively overreacted when ND Cube finally figured out how to make a Mario Party game. This is a return to form, but a fairly mediocre one, and a lot of that has to do with the lackluster board selection. Outside of the gold one, this game just has a bunch of uninteresting grids that you navigate with the incredibly unreliable Joy-Cons. Not only that, while the minigames can be fun in doses, none are truly memorable enough to warrant returning to another game. The dice block mechanic is fun, though. That adds a layer of strategy not present in other Mario Party entries, and should probably return in the future (along with buddies). Fun, but surpassed by the next installment.

Dude idk. I beat this game with my friend and I was confused about whether or not I enjoyed it. It's a charming throwback to early/mid-2000s humor pushed into a beat 'em up. It works well, but there are a lot of fights that feel unfair depending on the build you put together. Sometimes it works well and you feel great, other times the boss one shots you or you do no damage. Now you need to go back, grind for 20 minutes, and fill up on potions, all just to have a chance against the boss. Pretty fun and charming, with a bunch of flaws.

People don't love this game??? I'm so confused. It's the best of the Apollo trilogy if you disregard the fact that it throws away Apollo's entire backstory for AJ in favor of a new one. If you can do that, there's a great story with equally memorable characters to the original trilogy. The three-attorney dynamic works wonderfully, and I enjoy how it mixes up the gameplay loop so you get to see every staple interact with one another for at least a case. Also Blackquill. He is very awesome.

Truthfully, I think this game would have received infinitely more praise had it not been for Turnabout Serenade. Playing that guitar part over and over just... does something to a person. With that being said, I adore this game and every case other than the third. The intro case is the strongest in the series, the emotional core is strong, and the staple characters are, in my opinion, the strongest yet in the series. I enjoy Apollo almost to the same extent I enjoy Phoenix, and Trucy far exceeds Maya (once again, in my opinion). The final case, while logically insane, was immensely enjoyable, and the time travel mechanic worked wonderfully. An underrated gem that I'm so glad more people get to play.

Truthfully, there's not much I can say about this game that hasn't been said thousands of times before me. Yes, the world is dense and full of unforgettable side activities. Yes, the soundtrack is my favorite in a video game. Yes, the characters are so well-written to the point that you feel you know them. All these things are true and then some. A jaw-dropping experience from start to finish, and one that everyone should experience at least once in their lives. Hands-down my favorite game, and my choice for the greatest game ever made.

Up there in the Visual Novel Hall of Fame for sure. Clannad separates itself from other Japanese VNs by telling an emotional story void of the cliche elements present in so many others. There aren't lewd jokes or fanservice, it doesn't stray too far into goofiness; instead, it tells a mostly grounded story with some of the strongest emotional moments in any VN. If you've struggled to get into these games in the past, Clannad is the easiest and best point of entry you could choose.

What a story. What a captivating experience. What a cautionary tale. I can't think **** that had me this hooked for its duration. While its 2-hour length likely played a part, I haven't stopped thinking about it since I finished it. Games with vague stories often mistake ambiguity for good storytelling, but often those games have no resolution. They're meant to go unsolved. What Remains of Edith Finch has sinister undertones within the walls of this house of horrors, and like Edith herself, it's up to you (the player) to unravel the mystery behind the curse for yourself.

What is the best case in this one? It's the game I've played the most and yet none of them stick out as truly exceptional. Cases 4 and 5 come close, and are very, very solid, but it doesn't hit the highs of T&T or even Justice for All. It's still very good but is simply a building block for future entries.

So easily the weakest of the original trilogy. 3 of the cases in this game range from uninteresting to downright infuriating (I'm looking at you, Turnabout Big Top). The ONLY thing this game has going for it is its last case. Lucky for them, it's the best case in the series. I'm not sure how Farewell, My Turnabout exists. Or more specifically, how it exists in this game. The most welcome subversion of the Ace Attorney series, its most shocking twist, and the most high-stakes plot are all rolled up into one unreal package. It makes this game worth playing, which is the highest compliment I could give to any case in the whole franchise. If you're stuck on one of the other chapters in this game's story, keep pushing through. There's a MASSIVE diamond at the bottom of this cave, even if you have to dig through some dirt to get there.

Yeah, real good. The sheer number of wonder effects is reason enough to adore this game. Every level has a new mechanic to check out, and they're all unique and exciting. That, in tandem with precise platforming and an exhilarating soundtrack, makes this a great return to a phenomenal era of Nintendo's 2D dominance.
