It plays brilliantly and is astonishingly easy to get into...For outrageousness and pure entertainment value, Crackdown is the most fun sandbox game to date...It's all-out action. Crackdown is an absolute riot. [Feb 2007, p.8]

Crackdown is ridiculously fun, and that "Halo 3" beta code may go unused for longer than you think. [Mar 2007, p.88]

The game's gravest offense is its lack of things to do...None of it is deep or varied enough to make the game much more than a "Halo 3" consolation prize. [Mar 2007, p.72]

The best thing this game has going for it is the open world environment. Lots of bad guys to shoot, and a GTA-esque map and travel system. Thecel-shaded graphics at the time of release seemed awesome, although they are a tad sketchy 29 years later I guess. Apart from this the game barely has storyline, the constant yammering of the mission director (who often seems to be in a bad mood like a disgruntled army major) becomes repetitive, as does teh **** gun shoot, drive somewhere new, rinse and repeat. And get this, once you are surrounded by a loada enemies (especially when you have not powered up enough via orbs) you can easily get overpowered and have to start again. This game is fun, dont get me wrong (anything GTA-like is, esp if you are a law-maker rather than a breaker), its just that the sequel refined all that was dull in the 1st game, so playing it again after so many years seems like a repetitive slug fest most of the time.

This is the game you play so you don't have to think about your terrible aim. otherwise good.

A bit of fun if you dont expevt too much but by the last island i was starting to get bored. Feels like it needed a good story or more variety in gameplay. Its a little clunky as well and has a horrendous lock on system that will sometimes bounce around the screen and other times focus on someone in the distance rather than someone close that you are trying to kill. Didn’t finish it but i did enjoy the first couple of islands and i do find collecting those orbs addictive and being able to hump higher and further

Crackdown does everything right and doesn't let the narrative (which assails you at every turn) get in the way of the fun - and there's plenty of fun to be had.

The action is sensational and amazingly varied, and the world is totally immersive because of the game's somewhat unique approach to the visuals and environment, not despite of it.

Un gran juego, una historia sin tanto rollo, buenos recuerdos de este juego

The gameplay is where this title shines, and it shines bright. The game doesn’t last as long as a GTA title, and the variety of other sandbox games just isn’t here, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun. If you’re looking for some mindless explosions or an amazing co-op game, this will hit the spot.

A truly fantastic experience that is so much more than just a mindless shoot-em-up "GTA" clone. The developers almost force you to think outside the box and not spend an hour running over hookers and throwing molotov cocktails into a crowd on the beach (as fun as those things are).

Crackdown is a brilliant starting point to a game; it's a pity that the enjoyment doesn't last too long.

The smart blend of collecting orbs in a wildly vertical setting while constantly feeling the reward of powering up creates an unbeatable sensation of addictive fun. You'll have a blast, even if for a short while.

This feels like an alpha build of a game: the point in a game's development cycle where engine is in place, and the world has been built, and a few bad guys running around for testing purposes. Unfortunately, the actual meat of the game, the story and the missions, haven't been added yet.

Simplemente una joyita, con una trama que captura tu atención poco después de empezar el juego. El Mejor Juego Sandbox de Xbox y de los últimos años.

I usually dont like these kind of games, but the progression system in this one made it super addictive.

The graphics hold up not well at all and there isn't much of a story at all, but it's good for hours upon hours of mindless destruction. Rating - 72%

Stupid fun where the less you think about what you're doing the better it its. I can see when this game was released that some of what you do would be innovative and fun, but in 2013 there are many games that do the same things better. If you want to climb buildings, play Assassin's Creed. If you want wide open kill fest, play GTA, if you want to drive madly through a city, play driver 3. I did have fun playing this game, but only when I forgot what other games I could be playing. Also, the ending is REALLY lame, and a bad ending turned a generous 6 into a deserved 4.

Boring and very repetitive. I do enjoy the open world aspect, but that is it. Driving around really is not too fun because the skill is annoying to upgrade. Every corner there is a group of gang members to shoot at you, and then you find out that there are like twenty more on the rooftops, all of which of rockets that always get you. GTA puts this game to shame. Worst Open World game I have ever played.
SummaryEnforce justice by any means necessary in a crime-ridden urban center built to encourage the exploration of the full width, depth, and height of the city. Coupled with co-op gameplay, a first for the genre, and an interactive world where nearly anything can be used as a weapon, create a volatile cocktail of action as you clean up the str... Read More
