Its astonishing how many trolls and whiny little kids there are on this website crying about stuff that is minor at best. This game is nothing less than the end to the most Epic Space Trilogy of all time. The campaign kept me hooked from the moment the game took off and the story was spectacular. Now I know the nerds and trolls are going to bash the crap out of me for whatever I'm going to say or think, but I'm going to tell you the God's honest truth and break down the hate for this game. Firstly The Ending: I personally believe that the ending was fantastic and really left me feeling overwhelmed by my accomplishments and I felt sad for the characters that I grew so fond of in ME2 that died. The game left you with a real sense of drama and fulfillment. Now to address the hate, the most common thing I see written is that the 3 endings are too similar and do not show enough variation. The problem I have with this is these people that say this, I know 100% have either replayed only the last mission 3 times or have data mined the game on PC and watched the cut-scenes. Why do you people not understand that when you spoil the endings like that for yourself you are setting yourself up for supreme disappointment. If you legitimately played through the entire game and didn't skip conversations and really built upon the amazing character backgrounds then you would have loved the ending and really appreciated the way things left off. รข

Ok so I'm going to break this review up so it simple, but first I am going to get my rant out of the way. First of all its good to know that any game that has flashbacks now copies Call of Duty (i sense a meme). The flashbacks from Black Ops were during, not an Interrogation/Debriefing surrounding and interesting conspiracy, but a TORTURE of a US marine surrounding a plot that has been used for ages, so stop trying to say the plot of sleeper agents with codes stored in their heads is original because its not. Also the plot of Black Ops was nonsensical and was basically a Michael Bay film with not so pretty graphics. I understand this game is going to get compared to CoD, its what the entire flame-war has been about, but the fact of the matter is that CoD has grown stale and has a plot that my nine year old brother predicted when i started MW2. The last good CoD in the series was CoD 4 (I have been playing CoD since the beginning so i am not a fan-boy so don't start with that). Its just that myself and many other gamers have grown tired of the same rehashed game over and over and want something new. This is where Battlefield 3 comes in to fill the gap. I'll start with the campaign since this is where I here the most gripes. CAMPAIGN: This game has a VERY solid campaign, not one of the most original plots, but it was done extremely well. The story is believable, engrossing and full of tense moments that really get you on your toes. A lot of people seem to say that you can't get Graphics and Playability in one package and I call those people stupid. The PS3 version has fantastic graphics, I am very pleased with the way it turned out and understand why DICE said they play the PS3 version in the office everyday. The level when your teammate deploys flares in the apartment is a true justification to that, along with many more jaw-dropping levels (Thunder Run). I understand fully that Battlefield is a series not known for Single-player, but since Bad Company 1&2 they are learning to create an intriguing story that really does justice to a good campaign. The only issue I've had with campaign is that when the game saves, it sometimes freezes briefly, but comes right back. The way the campaign is also geared towards knowing that you are not Rambo-Jesus is great too. They really make you feel like you die quite quickly and that cover IS needed to survive. Also as opposed to Black Ops which had some of the worst AI I've ever seen in a game, both the enemies and team-mates feel smart enough to challenge and help you. Enemies move from cover to cover and pick and choose targets while your fellow squad mates will actually kill the enemies with you. Another thing that I have heard is that the directions in the campaign are not clear enough. Well...I guess that for the average CoD player being 12 years old, it may be a little hard to understand that when you team-mate says SHOOT THE LIGHTS he really does mean SHOOT THE LIGHTS, I mean seriously I have read so many posts saying, "I'm stuck on the sniper level i don't understand what he wants me to do". Its like wow really are you serious there's a prompt in the top left and there are subtitles so either you dumb, or just illiterate. I had a great time with the single player and really felt the power behind the vehicles, guns and explosions. The graphics and lighting are fantastic and the story is engrossing and fun. Don't skip the single player. MULTIPLAYER: This is where the game truly shines and delivers the full package. The graphics are phenomenal and the gun-play is fantastic. The fact that CoD's only argument is 60fps hold no water at all. The frame rate is still smooth and jitter free even with so much action happening in one area. The multiplayer suffers from a few hiccups with lag and unbalanced weaponry, but DICE (actually caring about customer support) has already acknowledged the problems and is working to fix them as I type. The maps of Battlefield 3 are absolutely enormous and could fit all of CoD's maps into one. They are beautifully designed to soot all play-styles from Jet and Helicopter Pilot, Tank commander, Infantry grunt, Support gunner, Demolitionist, Sniper and much more depending on how you play. There are still plenty of buildings to destroy and to decimate so don't fret, the tradition of destruction remains strong. The guns all feel amazing and handle differently. Also not every gun is suitable for every map so adjust your class accordingly, and thanks to the traditional loadout screen after every death you can always change your class and weapon set so you never feel screwed. Again cover is a must so don't expect to play this game like CoD and end up MVP(kills don't matter, points come from working as a team) shocking I know. Battlefield 3 is a must buy for any true FPS fan tired of the mundane. You cant go back once your hooked.

Just bought this game today and i must say it is one of the many games of this year that has been put down because it strives to be different. This game is awesome!!! The AI on both sides is remarkably smart. The Taliban insurgents move to flank your positions and suppress your cover when they get a solid read on your range. As for your team they also prove to be fairly capable, whilst not the smartest they will do their duty and kill any enemy that comes within their sights. If you are a proper tactician and make smart orders you and your team will become death dealing machines. the graphics are impressive and dazzling at times when you realize the sheer scale of the world your in. Tajikistan is large and it really shows when the sun sets over the beautiful mountain ranges and you realize just how far you are from your objective. The last review that i read was from IGN who frankly cannot review worth **** They marked sound down to a 5.5 because your Sergent is annoying. Yes the Sergent is irritating at times but the story and dialog that occurs between your squad and Sergent is humorous at times. The guns sound perfect and powerful especially the snipers and the customization options are nice. explosions are beautifully rendered and feel large in scale and power. Airstrikes and Artillery bombardments are fantastically realized and very well done. This game is not for everyone however, This game IS first and foremost a tactical military simulator. Fights are scaled back but when the fighting breaks out the firefights are action packed and intense. Its also very nice that the heartbeat of your soldier is monitored by vibrations from your controller as well. Between levels and some fights long driving scenes full of dialog are put as filler and used for debriefing and mission briefing. Some people may find the game boring but it is tactical and requires as such. If you go gung-ho and try to be the solo killer you are in games such as COD you will get slaughtered faster than you can blink. Issuing commands requires thought and a bad order is nobody's fault but your own. Closing Comments: This game gets a 10 in my book its fun to play solo and amazing to play in Co-op. the only gripe i had which is not severe enough to degrade my review is the fact that unlike Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising the game is not free roam and wandering away to far will result in an AWOL insta-death. But they give you warning and the game still has freedom of approach to missions. You can choose how you want to complete your mission and you have freedom of choice to complete your objectives. If you want to be an invisible long range death dealer in the form of a sniper you can or feel free to go silent and be the assassin by equipping a silencer and sneaking into enemy compounds unnoticed. This game allows many choices and is fun for those who are fans of the series and the genre. If you expect the game to be like CoD its NOT. If you try to play like it is you will **** of story. All i can say is give this game a chance and you wont regret it. Happy Hunting

Its Finally here!!! not Brink... A UNIQUE FPS!!!!! We have been waiting for years now to get a solid FPS and Splash Damage has finally delivered. First off I want to say NOT to give in to the negative reviews. This game is superb beyond measure. IGN gave this game a 6/10 and that is absolutely preposterous, this game has so little flaws that they were just being extremely nit-picky. I mean come on IGN took off points for repetition!? Im going to assume that you have played Call of Duty and Gears of War(i like gears of war, just not so much the multiplayer, its decent but just not my thing) these games have some of the most repetitive muliplayer in the genre, (not FPS, but shooter in general) especially CoD. No where in Brink did I ever feel backed into a corner where i had no options but to camp in the nearest corner and hop i dont die. The majority of the structures in Brink are climbable and the feeling of effortlessly gliding through and over obstacles is something that is just amazing to do. This game feels like Mirrors Edge, Killzone 3, TF2 and a slight mix of Battlefield all combined into one AMAZING package. The visuals are almost Jaw-Dropping, the art style works amazingly well in this game, the character customization leaves MILLIONS of possible combination's for your characters and not one character will ever look the same, EVER. The Gun customization is where my jaw officially hit the floor. Instead of taking the easy way out and just telling you what attachments you have and showing your character holding the "customized" gun *cough* Call of Duty *cough*. They give you an incredibly detailed, 3D, fully rotatable model of the gun that you can manipulate in any direction to give you a true feeling of the gun you will be holding. All guns in this game also have a degree of recoil that only kicks in once you fire the gun for a little over a second, but this is no big issue and all attachments have some affect over your gun besides the obvious. For example you can give your SMG a barrel magazine so you can hold like 3x as many bullets in your clip, BUT because of the weight of the magazine it give the gun slightly less stability. This keeps the game EXTREMELY balanced and nobody ever feels like they are overpowered, you choose what gun you like, customize it and you will get a feel for what range you are effective at. Alright lets move on to campaign, the campaign is very well done if you pay attention to the cut-scenes that are Beautifully rendered and look amazing then you will not be lost. I will give a very brief summary *Slight Spoilers* Basically the story revolves around, The Ark a floating city built by man to be a self sustaining, Green, and Eco-Friendly environment to symbolize the good that man can do. But as the situation with the world kept getting worse eventually Global Warming hit and the Oceans rose. This made their floating city a refuge for survivors. The city however could not sustain the number of people on the Ark so the constructed another section which was basically a Slum for the rest of the survivors. To keep the Ark working the Security started initiating water, and food rations making most of the Slums starve. The Slums appealed to the Founders the Arks creators but they refused and tightened the Security of the Ark. The Resistance then formed under the leadership of Brother Chen and now fights a Civil War against the Founders and The Ark Security that protects them. So will you save the Ark or Destroy it? Ok so thats the basic story, You get the option at the beginning to choose your side each with a different campaign and two What-If scenarios where each side takes more...drastic measure to ensure survival. Now on to multiplayer; Brink has some very balanced multiplayer, there are some lag issues here and there but the game will reconnect to a new host often so the lag will fix itself. Like i said earlier no gun feels to over powered so that's not the issue in this game, that i feel some people have. I feel that some people including my friends were hesitant because they assumed that everyone would be a Heavy and rock the field, well let me put that to rest because it is far from the Truth. The three classes Light, Medium and heavy can all climb various heights and move at set speeds. Lights are the most maneuverable with the least health, Mediums are well... standard soldiers. and the Heavy is a walking tank that can only climb over smaller obstacles and can wield launchers and mini-guns. But each class has weaknesses, in movement speed and health so its up too you to tailor your character to your play style and you'll see what i mean. Lastly really quick, like Bullseye76 bellow me said, if you try to play the game like a basic FPS you will get rocked so play the challenge rooms to get a feel for the game and you will realize that this is no standard FPS. Brink is a must buy game that is a serious wake-up call to developers about the new age of the FPS

This is what happens in an era populated by the COD obsessed fan-boys who wouldn't know what a good game was if it bit them in the ass. This game deserves nothing less then a 10, if i could i would give it an 11. Every aspect of this game is phenomenal, from the just jaw dropping visuals, smooth and streamlined gameplay and incredible orchestral soundtrack. I cannot begin to fathom why people are comparing this game to CoD. Just because some game developer makes a FPS does not mean it is a CoD clone. I mean for **** sake the guns are not even the same, it has a level of depth and storytelling that Call of Duty cannot even begin to comprehend. The two games are not even in the same league, Crysis 2 is years above the level of innovation and sophistication of the entire Cod universe. Another thing, PC people need to take a Chill Pill, take a deep breath and step down from their high and mighty thrown built upon their delusions of grandeur. Stop criticizing the developers for trying to be innovative and bring the game over to a new audience. Just because they ported the game to consoles does not effect you people in anyway. I'm sure you guys will be back to modding the **** out of your games to make unnecessary changes in no time. God forbid a company would try to make money off of a product and market to a new audience. But i digress, if you people wanna complain then by all means, go ahead (This is America...freedom of speech right). The game is fantastic, everything is fun and will keep you going back for more even when you beat it. The games new game+ feature will have you replaying missions with new abilities and new ways to kick ass. Now on to Multiplayer, this is where my only gripe lies and i isn't even severe enough to downgrade my review. The field is dominated by Nanovision, Snipers and Armor users, but with each skill is a counter and you can still play and have a blast with other classes. Now the biggest issue I have here, is not with the game at all but once again with the other reviewers. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD this games Multiplayer does not copy Call of Duty. People want to complain and say, "there's kill streaks, OMG Cod Clone, this game is dumb OMG". Ok for one thing do you even have any idea how the kill-streaks work? of course not, so lets explain... You earn the kill streaks by collecting DOG TAGS from fallen enemies. So unless you feel like you are good enough to run around punching people in the face for the whole game, kill-streaks are not called in that often. If you are a sniper i highly doubt that you are going to snipe a person and run all the way down to their body and collect their tag. Lastly just because you can customize a class with different equipment and abilities, again does not = Cod clone. FPS games have been doing this for years, even before Call of Duty. Games from Battlefield to old PC games like SWAT and RainbowSix have been doing Custom Classes since their origins. So quit Comparing every FPS multiplayer to freakin Call of Duty. Cod has done nothing new nor original since its birth and frankly unless they themselves innovate soon the franchise is going to die. I for one cannot keep playing the same game over and over for the $60 price tag. I have totally diverted from the review at this point and have gone on a rant, but oh well I really don't care, the main point of this is that Crysis 2 is a must buy game that has brought a refreshing burst of color and originality to the currently boring world of the FPS. 11/10 (if i could). -PS: to all the Cod fans who are gonna rage about this, i already know the top comment for your rages is, "You Just ****", and to this i can soundly and honestly say 2.21KD 25,000 kills 7th prestige. So NO... I do not, I just understand the concepts and amount of hard work that goes into making a game like Crysis. The same cannot be said for Call of Duty.

Its a shame that nowadays the CoD franchise has blinded the gamers of the modern day, the FPS is now a shell of its former self. Before CoD, an FPS used to be a thing of beauty they required skill to play, campers were non existent and you had to have an IQ above 30. The inane dribble that spews out of the corporate mouth of Activision known as Call of Duty has tarnished the name of the FPS forever. These games that are thrown at gamers every year are nothing more than a marketing and moneymaking scheme by the greedy fat cats of Activision to make millions of dollars...correction: BILLIONS of dollars...from the gamers of America who don't know any better, and now whenever a good game comes along that even remotely resembles a CoD game these ignorant people spread forth a web of hate that discourages anyone who might be even remotely interested in buying the game. Medal of Honor is one of these games, a great game that got put down because of all the Call of Duty fanatics who were probably just too bad at the game to give it a good review. Its not like Call of Duty at all so STOP comparing it to it because i have some news for you... FPS games set in the modern time are going to happen and just because the RPG looks similar... WHAT do you want it to look like? A kitten? a train? take your pick there's lots of random objects we can make it look like. Or because the game includes the M14 or the M4A1 does not mean ts a CoD knock off. These games are genuinely good and have actually had some significant thought and programming time put into them. These games are not released every year like some games *cough* Call of Duty *cough* with not thought or possible innovative technique included, but the same game repackaged over and over again with a different venue. Medal of Honor requires a amount of skill that CoD gamers do not understand, the cover in these games is not for show you ACTUALLY NEED TO USE IT!!!!!!!! OMG SHOCK OMG!!!! yeah you cant run around like Rambo Jesus tanking bullets to the face and somehow manage to kill everyone shooting at you with a quick burst of blind fire. MoH requires tactics and skill the 2 things call of duty does not require, and that is the reason that this game gets put down. Its a Damn shame that a game as good as this one gets wasted. If you not blinded by the CoD sickness and can still tell good from bad go pick this game up, you wont be disappointed.

I bought this game having high hopes as many others did as well, unfortunately all i got was the same mess that Modded Warfare 2 already stirred up. Treyarch said they did not want their game to end up like MW2, well Congratulations its WORSE. at least MW2 had decent enough Hit Registration and the Spawn system was not completely broken. MW2 also had balanced maps where sniping was at least possible. When they announced they were removing Stopping Power from the game i was ecstatic i thought they would finally realize that A BULLET IS A BULLET!!!! guns should not have damage stats. They should remove damage as a stat for weapons and focus primarily on range, accuracy, mobility and rate of fire. if you get hit with a bullet you DIE. just because my gun has 4 bars of Damage and yours has 5 does not mean u win a fire fight when i put 3 rounds into your skull. If you, like myself, loved sniping well then your out of luck in order to fight the "War on Quickscoping" that Treyarch believes is happening they made it so if you don't aim down the sights for a full 2 seconds your bullet flies in some random direction like a revolutionary war musket. Threyarch needs to stop making promises they cant keep. they said it would be close to impossible to hack this game well its been a little over a month since the games release and there are already Wall hacks, Aim-bots, God Mode, No Clip, Infinite Ammo and much much more. The spawn system is non existent as well the game will consistently spawn you in the same location so some **** can run over to you place a sentry gun at your spawn and rack up the kills. The lag is also an extreme issue, if you do not have a 4 bar connection then it is virtually impossible to get a legitimate kill. Even at 3 bars bullets fail to register and do almost no damage. In MW2 it felt as if maybe 10-15% of your bullets might go unaccounted for well in BO change that to at least 50-75% of them. That may be an over exaggeration to some people but when you unload 15 bullets into one guy just to have him wheel around and shoot you twice in the leg and kill you something is definitely wrong. This game practically rewards mediocrity, the RC car is the most OP kill-streak ever put into a game, a 3 year old child with down syndrome could get the 2 kills in a row it takes ( i know its 3 kills but since everyone turns hard-line on anyway, you might as well make it 2) to get that reward. people literally can just do completely **** the whole game and towards the end just say, " hey look i have ten RCXD's to spawn kill people with". This game literally has so many bugs that by gaming "law" is Literally considered BROKEN. just to name a few... Railings: the spaces between railings on balcony's and stairs are programed as "walls" so you either can or can not shoot through them while doing minimal damage, Wanted: this is just what I'm calling it since i do not know the exact term, but when people shoot behind you as you run around cover and despite not hitting you at all the bullets almost seem to curve around the corner and get you anyway,KNIFING: its broken now so don't even try. the prime rule is, If you think you got **** didn't. If you think you didn't get him... then you did. Air knifes are much more common then MW2 and 3arc really doesn't seem to care about it. This game literally did nothing new to the Cod franchise beside steal a bunch of ideas from Halo like their "new" currency system and map selecting in Multi player. Overall this is a piss poor game with outdated graphics and a Company backing it, cough* cough* Activision, that's to greedy to give a **** that their game has some serious problems that need addressing. If you wonder why the graphics are bad then, again look at Activison, they thought it would be a good idea to make the game 3D compatible so they down graded the graphics to satisfy the 2% margin of gamers with 3D TV's. Seriously if your going to market to a certain group then you should pick a larger one then that. This game, just like Modern Warfare 2, was fun at first but now is just another failed project. And to those who might say, "Oh you just ****, thats why ur mad", no, my KD is 2.05 and it i have 15,000 kills so no. I just know what a good game is, and this is not it. I think ill go back to Bad Company 2 and wait for Vietnam in 3 days. Lets hope Sledgehammer games learns from this and doesn't screw up Modern Warfare 3.
