Pokemon Moon9

One of the best Pokémon experiences I've had and I've been playing Pokémon since Blue when I was 8 or 9 years old. Turning off the Exp. Share is highly recommended to have a more challenging and enjoyable experience. After skipping all the trailers and reveals to have a fresh adventure on Alola, along some low-expectations, as I knew there wouldn't be gyms and the game could be dumbed-down like OmegaRuby was, I was quite surprised when the experience happened to be fulfilling and the difficulty curve didn't disappoint (if you are playing with the Exp. Share off). Having so many extras to make the competitive side of the game more enjoyable and less of a chore, this game presented a better experience than the one I had on BW and BW2 even though the story was simpler. On the story side of the game, at first Lillie is a bidimensional character that says "I don't want Pokémon to get hurt" at least once per conversation, but in the end she get development as a character, unlike Hau. Spending time in-game was fun, it took me about 15 hours to complete each island, stopping the main story for while to catch and train Pokémon, finding hidden items and talking to the NPCs. I beat the Elite 4 on my first try after the 100 hour mark, while some other players finished the game in less than 30 hours. Give it a try and I hope you enjoy this game as much as I did.

Titanfall 29
Jan 19, 2017
A game that was made by learning from the mistakes of its predecessor. Adding a single player campaign that introduced the player into the lore of this universe was a welcoming experience for those who didn't play the first game in the series even though it was a bit predictable. The multiplayer experience was good and fast-paced, but some things I liked from the previous game, like making your custom loadout for you Titans is no longer an option, which could make some Titans a tad repetitive or oppressive to play for some people. The must needed addition of a decent progression system on the multiplayer was a plus, just like the lack of a season pass; you'll find cosmetic microtransactions, but it is acceptable, as all the DLC is supposed to be free.

I don't usually like horror games, as either I get bored (like with ZombiU) or I just simply don't get fully immersed in the experience. This game managed to get my interest and I ended up liking the story and the characters, some characters I thought I'd hate ended up being quite relatable, while some others didn't have enough character growth/development. A good experience that rewards exploring branching paths while walking and branching stories while making decisions.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U9
Jun 7, 2016
A unique and different game from the previous entries of the series, a good game when playing online but a great time when playing with friends in the same room. It gives you a run for your money, with more than 15 different game modes, over 50 playable characters, more than 20 stages plus the Omega ones, a huge soundtrack and many mini-games. A must-have for every Wii U owner.

There is something missing from the experience, I couldn't enjoy this game as much as I enjoyed BF3 on PS3. After buying the Digital Deluxe Edition and having downloaded the extra content that On The House gave away a few weeks ago, I still feel that the game is not as rewarding as previous iterations were.

A very good game with a great balance in the team deathmatch and other multiplayer modes. I preferred the server selection from the PS3 version from the Origin version for the PC. I liked this game more than BF4 on PC.

A fun game and a very good way to introduce yourself to rhythm games. If you're good enough you'll unlock some greatly appreciated Easter Eggs from other Game Freak games.

Tales of Vesperia8

The crystallization of all I loved from previous Tales games, like Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the Abyss, the combat system is refined and doesn't hold your hand, it is not that action focused as Tales of Graces, but slightly better than the system used in Xillia. The thing I disliked is that if the game had ended when the second act finished I would have been satisfied with the game, because the ending is something I didn't like, it felt rushed, yet, I would recommend this game for everything in between.

The first 2D Sonic game I've enjoyed in the last 15 years; even better than the first 2 Sonic games. Highly recommendable, even for those who do not like platformers, like me.

The remake we all wanted that was dumb down to fit a new generation of children that have the attention span of a fly. You'll level up way too easily, Flannery, the Gym Leader that made you suffer if you had chosen Treecko is now a wimp in the remake, being a challenge only if you are making a nuzzlocke. The experience was watered down so much that it is not a challenge anymore; as someone who played and finished Emerald and Sapphire versions many times, this was a huge disappointment, I haven't finished the game so far since the release date and I seriously doubt about playing it again. SoulSilver is a remake worth replaying, it should be the basis/template for the next Pokémon remakes.

Titanfall8

A fast-paced action focused FPS. It had the CoD BO3 experience 2 years earlier. Although I could talk about the emotions that one can feel when you see your first Titanfall saving you from a bullet hell, I want to focus on something else, the attention to detail, the NPCs have great animations, you can see how two marines try to save another that is injured, how they salute you as you pass by, how the weight of your titan affects your surroundings after Titanfall, the execution of an scaping pilot, among other little details that you'll probably miss but that make the experience different from other FPS games. The feeling when you were defeated and you are trying to get to the evacuation ship is something that I enjoyed in many ocassions, but I wouldn't recommend playing this game for more than 3 to 4 hours in one sitting, as it will be a boring experience after the 3 hour mark. I've played this game for about 200 hours (6/7/2016). One more thing: Each generation (when you reach the maximum level and get to reborn after the regeneration tasks that help you use every possible weapon of the game) is not that rewarding, as you lose your progress and loadout from the previous generation, but you'll now receive 10% extra of experience per regeneration. The amount of weapons and titans is limited, but enough for me.

Even though the lack of DLC made this game repetitive after a while due to the lack of multiplayer maps, the game is entertaining, and I can tell after 800+ hours on the multiplayer (6/7/2016). The campaign is something I didn't enjoy, but the multiplayer, especially on the Wii U Gamepad is a great way to spend time after a knee surgery.

Right now, this game is highly recommended for those who own a Wii U and enjoy simple games with a high replay value; the game is competitive and each weapon changes the whole game experience, as the strategy changes if you want to have a great performance. Why did I start with the words "right now"? Because if you bought the game during its first month, the game was like Overwatch right now, just a few stages, about 20 different weapons, around 5 maps and a crippled experience (I'm crippled, so I know about it). The game will surely give you about 30 hours of fun and if you really enjoy them, you'll easily keep playing past the 100 hour mark. It has a single player mode, it helps you to understand the mechanics of the game and has easter eggs, you'll beat it in less than 5 hours and forget about it, but it is recommendable to finish it, as you'll get a few weapons that cannot be obtained otherwise.

You know when the developers actually care about their game when you don't care spending minutes running from one place of the map to another, when you can just sit down and admire the landscape while the location changes according to the weather and day time. This game is not intuitive, that I can assure, but you'll feel self-realized the first time to get how the combat works, what element is stronger, how to properly attack an enemy, etc. It is not self-explanatory and you'll rarely see tutorials, most of the time you'll end up uncovering things about the game mechanics and that is an achievement by itself. Visually it is impressive, but character animations are a little bit stiff, you won't get many loading screens while exploring, unless you use the fast-travel function and the draw line won't be a problem until you get your flying module for the Skell. Installing the data packages from the Nintendo eShop is highly recommended, as you'll notice an improvement in loading times and NPC popups. This is a must-have game for those who own a Wii U.

Don't get me wrong, the game is quite fun, for the first 5 to 10 hours, but the lack of content is baffling. The amount of characters is alright and you'll have a different experience with each one of them, but you'll feel stagnation after a while, especially if you are not playing with your friends, as random teams will rarely fulfill each role and if you don't want to lose you may need to compromise to balance your team. At first the objective of each game mode is not clear and you'll notice how new players just play as if they were on team deathmatch all the time. The game is fun, but I wouldn't recommend you to buy it as it is incomplete right now and the experience won't last more than 15 hours without boring you thanks to how repetitive it may become.
