I find people jump to the "dead game" label much too fast, but this one is truly dead and buried.
Impossible to find a match. Currently, there are 9 players on steam, meaning there are probably 2 on PSN, including myself. So if on console you have no choice but to turn on cross-play, putting you at a disadvantage right away. Still, been searching for an hour with cross play on yielded no result, sometimes it would say 2/6 players but 4 are needed to start a match. One time I was able to get in one, did 3 matches in a row, never a full lobby, always the 4 same players, the gameplay was OK, No bots means I can't give this a higher score than 0, though.
who in their right mind makes CAREER mode online only? you are only making piracy seem like a good idea and honestly, most of the time pirating a game is more consumer friendly, which is what I recommend you do for any codemasters game.
Left me very unimpressed, forget everything you thought you knew about dirt with this bland title, my guess is they went for an arcade style of driving this time around to appeal to a wider audience, you can clearly see they borrowed a lot of things from other games but they execute every aspect a little bit worse than existing titles. I've heard the graphics praised as the only redeeming quality but they're not that good to be honest. driveclub did graphics so much better for example, the crew did off road better etc, all along your playing journey you'll notice things that are slightly worse than what you've seen previously. Some other comment pointed out how the UI feels like a mobile game and I couldn't put my finger on it before but that is a spot on description! it all feels so generic and bland. I got the game for free with ps+ this month but it feels like it should just bee a free to play game from the start because there are so many car locked behind a paywall, just imagine the horror of paying full price and discovering this, I can only imagine how it must have felt... also, if you're somehow not sick and tired of the ever pretentious Troy baker yet, you will be after this game.
**** ea, you can bet your ass the lootboxes work fine, but the career mode is broken and the. Don't buy any ea game, they don't care about you and dont give a **** about their own games either
the story makes no sence at all, the gameplat is also bad as **** hard to control, there is a trophy that requires you to do the intire game without getting hit once, what a joke
Even though it wasn't made by Ubisoft, it really feels that way, the same exact map-clearing side quest and cellectables that really feel like they're in the game just to stretch out the play time. Even if you have the patience to power through, the story is just meh.
This game is a straight up mess, too many bugd, I had to **** the application several times and thus was forced to watch the lame ass intro movie over and over, just to get trought the tutorial. Even without all the hassle it's clearly just a bad clone and not worth your time. (When I was locked in place in the tutorial I couldnt do anything except open the Micro transaction store lmao)
More of the same, if you played borderlands you played this. Micro transactions are incomming. I'd wait a while before buying, when it's bundled with all the upcomming dlc and will be patched a bit.
Seriously good fun in coop, I wish there were more games like this, have a lot of good memories from it even though the later levels became very tricky
the timer in single player is really a deal breaker, it's so peopl don't take the time to get overpowered but it just adds too much stress, can't get the things done.
this game would obviously not benefit from a difficulty slider but that makes it unnacessible to a lot of people. Didnt care for the story or the setting though, if you want to play a challenging game I would recommend the souls series.
*the* best racing game out there, even to date. It realy does everything righ, the soundtrack, the atmosphere, the handling, customisation, the cast, which in classic need for speed fashion, can't be too serious, the story is pretty good, fits the game and competing with the Pros from the scene feels amazing It also has NO micro transactions or lootboxes
