One would argue that it is quite hard to increment the lore of a 43-year old franchise yet The New Order finally adds a backbone to the saga. True to its pure FPS origins, TNO offers a modern look on a decades old gameplay, heavily helped by a great character and artworks design as well as a vibrant atmosphere. A superb revival for the franchise and a frankly fun game to play!

The highly awaited fifth installment of the franchise did not disappoint ! All clad in Bethesda DNA, Fallout 4 offers a new take on the franchise with a more dynamic yet still fallout-paced RPG. Amazing environment work, great references to the other games, consistent lore additions, impacting choices and new franchise directions (new Power Armors, crafting mechanics, settlement building...) make the game complete and playable over and over. The attention to details as well as interesting DLCs make for a convincing and really enjoyable Fallout game.

Widely and rightly seen as the worst opus of the franchise, Fallout 76 serves as a buffer game in between installments of the series. Clearly created to provide filler content to the players all the while generating revenues through a lore-breaking ingame store, this game feels empty and spectacularly breaks immersion. Fallout is not made to be multi player and even less so a farming game. Lore additions and general environment are nonetheless, rather enjoyable and satisfying.

Alien Isolation genuinely creates a terrifying atmosphere : from the sound design to the stripped down HUD and through marvelous graphics, the game takes the player into a real experience. This opus combines interesting mechanics with an intricate mix of scripted and natural events making the whole game alive. The Xenormorph AI is an absolute masterpiece.

Cruelly ironic, superbly written and brilliantly scored : Fallout 2 offers a new turn on the series and a great sequel to Fallout 1. Through ingenious quests, intricate faction relations and a detailed environment, the game supplements the franchise in a great manner.

Unique in its genre, audacious in its setting, true to its predecessors and impressively immersive for an open world. Metro Exodus combines the best of what the series has to offer: exploration, lore, ehtical questioning and immersion.

True to its lore and origins; the perfect sequel for Fallout 2. Brilliant setting and plot, intricate ending choices, lore accurate, surprinsingly fun and frantically addictive.
