The multiplayer is that love it or hate it kind of thing. Its not necessarily bad but just more of the same. I would definitely recommend this game for the campaign only. Its really good. Although the story feels predictable and cheesy at times you can clearly see that they put a lot of effort into making characters that you can get attached to like Ethan and making a main hero that has some personality and isn't just a silent protagonist. The graphics are very good considering the age of the IW engine and it runs flawlessly on the PC.

How to ruin a game: Make a few interesting missions at the beginning followed by 10+ hours of repetitive and boring gameplay in which you kill targets, and capture territory and do it all over again until the end. Speaking about gameplay, seeing enemies through walls is stupid. Also say goodbye to realistic car damage, lethal car crashes, traffic rules, gas stations, police tickets or bribes. They dumbed down the gameplay to appeal to the casual market. The overall revenge story and the cutscenes are the only thing I liked about this game.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

The Witcher is a good example of a story told right. The choices and consequences system is well done, it adds replay value and it influences the ending. Also I like the fact that you can remain neutral throughout the whole flaming rose vs nonhuman conflict. The story kind of loses focus in chapter IV which i think is the weakest of all because it forces you to do some random quests that don't relate to the main storyline that much. On a bad side, I encountered several crashes on windows 10. The game uses the aurora engine which is known for its bugs and map limitations. It **** that there are very few face models for NPCs, and that I cant customize Geralt at all (there are a total of three armors in the whole game). The combat is not that great but you get used to it and after a few hours of playtime it doesn't represent a problem anymore. In the end this is a very good lengthy RPG (it took me 44 hours with a few side quests done) with a mature tone and interesting storyline.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

User ScoreFrenetik

I tried to look objectively at this game as i finished the main trilogy twice but Andromeda just doesn't hold up to its predecessors. Bioware put an emphases on open world, combat and driving, but not so much effort in storytelling, dialogue and characters, which was the heart of Mass Effect. Though the main quest is mysterious and good at times it lacks tension and it feels like a disney story with few to none important choices. I never got that mass Effect vibe, i never felt like one of my companions was in danger, it all felt too predictable and lighthearted. Its not a bad game per see its just a BAD MASS EFFECT GAME. If it didn't had mass effect in its title it would have been mediocre at best.

Wolfenstein TNO is a decent shooter with high production values, good voice acting and good story overall with an emphasis on the human side of Blaskowitz. However, half of the playtime consists of boring puzzles where you either cut a fence or shoot a chain to proceed and intermissions where you just run around the resistance base in order to search for random objects or talk to people. The action picks off only by the 10th chapter and from this point on until the ending the game is pretty good. If the whole game would be like these last 7 chapters i would easily rate it an 8/10 because the gun-play is fun, the enemies are challenging and the soundtrack is awesome. This is not a 3/10 game but definitely not a 10/10 one.

Titanfall 2

Nov 18, 2016
I enjoyed the first Titanfall. It had cool robots, intense action and it kind of reminded me of the old Metal Fatigue game. It was not perfect, it was a little casual and it laked a proper campaign but it was extremly fun to play. I really hoped that TF2 would improve over the first one and be more competitive but they somehow managed to make this even worse. They turned the multiplayer in a colored cartoon where enemies glow red and have healthbars over their heads. They removed titan loadout customization and nerfed down the titans to the point that they die extremly fast. If the first game took away the focus from player vs player action having to kill specters and grunts, now you also have to fight these robot reapers who are extremely annoying. Matchmaking **** once again, but then again a proper matchmaking system would require a high player base. They made the game even more casual but most importantly they removed the whole immersion and military feeling from the first one. The campaign is awesome as they say but its short and not enough to justify for the price. I'm going to stick to Titanfall 1 for now...

This game along with the original Metro 2033 is one of the best atmospheric shooters ever made. Its not particularly scary but it tells a dark, depressing story and engages your emotions like few games ever did. The only thing that bothered me were those forced boss fights which kind of broke the immersion for me but fortunately there were few such encounters and they were over pretty fast.

This game isn't as groundbreaking as the trailers made it look but it is certainly extremely fun to play. I guess it didn't received much positive reviews at launch because the campaign is close to inexistent and the multiplayer especially attrition mode is a little bit casual and not very competitive. The presence of bots is annoying as you can turn the tides of a match by simply running around the map with the smart pistol and killing enemy AI's. Like I said, it is very fun to play, the parkour is very satisfying and is the best ive seen in any game, the titans animations are very well done, the maps in general are well designed especialy angel city with plenty of places to run around as a titan and also hide as a pilot to evade titans but if you are looking for a competitive shooter like Battlefield or even Call of Duty this might not be the game for you.

First of all, this is a game with excellent graphics that was way ahead of its time. The gameplay is fun all around combining sandbox elements with some scripted action sequences. The story feels rushed and the final levels are kind of boring as they force you to shoot everything you see and take away the option to use stealth turning the game into a generic shooter. To me, this is the best game in the series, along with Warhead because it looks and feels like a game made for the PC unlike its sequels, Crysis 2 and 3 which have more casual gameplay and were clearly made more for the console market.

Its not really old-school but its a good compromise. They added many modern FPS elements to this game like health regeneration, checkpoint system and objective compass, but it still has some classic stuff like combining powers with guns and having to use the right weapon for a specific type of enemy. The AI is pretty good, the weapon sounds and effects are well done and the gameplay in general is fun.

Its a damn good looking game with excellent scripted sequences and fantastic graphics. The gameplay is basically the same as the previous game with very little changes which is not exactly a bad thing as I really enjoyed the first Tomb Raider. I am giving this a 7/10 because the story is so damn boring... too predictable and cheesy dialogue with long and useless cut-scenes that distract you from the actual gameplay. And whats up with the lack of challenging puzzles in games these days? Just like in Uncharted 4 the puzzles are way too easy and Lara basically tells you what to do every damn time.

I really wished that games reviewed on metacritic got separate scores for multiplayer/singleplayer. That way we could have a better view on the pros and cons of any game. That being said, my score for this game is based on the single player only, and I have to say that the campaign its not that bad at all. It has some nice scripted sequences with intense action and explosions as you would expect from a COD game but unfortunately the story is kind of predictable and it lacks memorable characters like soap or captain price. I don't think there was ever a Call of Duty game that had a bad campaign. Still I can understand some of the frustration around here regarding the fact that this game is basically the same every year, but the single player is still a good way to kill 5-6 hours but not enough to spend 60 dollars on this.

If not for that god awful ending, this would have been a 09/10. And for those people who complain that there are no side missions in this game i suggest you play gta. Mafia 2, like its predecessor is a story centered game, the developers deliberately excluded any side activity in order to keep the player focused on the story line. The 3 DLCs added extra content with some repetitive missions but lacked the deep story line from the main campaign. This game is in no way even comparable to the masterpiece that was Mafia 1 but it is still a solid action game with a decent story line and very good graphics.

What the **** is wrong with these critics (82 score seriously????) This game is pathetic. Its boring, dull and just painfully bad. I have no problem with the gameplay or graphics, my main concern is the storyline and the level design. The story is close to nonexistent, about a guy who works his way up the social ladder and gets caught up in some templar versus mages battle. I think they could sum up the whole storyline in an dlc , without the useless and crappy side quests where u help every scumbag in that city and do their chores. The dialogues are bad, the voice acting is bad and the conversation system is ****ed up. the replies u can chose are basically good, aggressive and ironical, yeah.. yellow red and purple, for **** people. I preferred it in DAO or kotor where my character was silent. The whole action takes place in a single city with some surrounding areas and caves that all look alike. The companions are boring as **** who complain every 5 seconds like little **** maybe except for Varic . I could go on and on but in the end it's just a bad game that never should have seen the light of day.
