The Last of Us Part II10
Jun 23, 2020
First off, I would ignore all reviews that are posted on the day of release. It took me 24 hours to beat the game (now this is while getting all of the collectables) but for the average person who's not trying to get a platinum trophy, I'd say they will probably beat the game in about 17-20 hours. Therefore it's pretty unlikely that most of these 0 star reviews posted on the 19th are legit. Now let me get to my actual review. Yes, I saw the leaks (saw them after I heard angry joe talk about them) and I was livid and vowed to never play this game. As time went on I started to open up to the idea of playing the game and then preordered it to start playing at 9PM. While the leak was legit in terms of the actual footage but a lot of what people had said regarding the footage was inaccurate. I cannot go into details without spoiling the game but I think that ND did a pretty good job with the story. Yes, it's not the story that we all expected or even wanted but that doesn't make it bad. As you play the game you will come to terms with the idea that Ellie and Joel are just two people that are part of this chaotic world that do what they must in order to survive and that some of the choices that they made can come back to bite them. If you're like me and vowed to never play the game because of the leaks, do yourself a favor and try to play this game with an open mind. Some people are upset about the ending but to me I liked it. I've heard people trying to compare this to the new star wars trilogy and having beaten this game, I can truthfully tell you that it isn't like that. Also for all of the people hating on this game because SJW and LGBT well I bet you that they never cared for the game anyway.

I beat this game on the PS4 Pro, so my review will be according to my experience on the PS4: Pros: + Great graphics for a console game (especially PS4 Pro) + Story is interesting (but I didn't like it as much as the first one) + Gameplay is as good as ever + A lot of replay value (if you're a trophy hunter) Cons: - No multiplayer (may not be a big deal to some but I like multiplayer). - Story not as great as the first (or as Uncharted 4) If you enjoyed the first game then you will enjoy this game. It's just unfortunate that this game was delayed by a year and released in Fall 2016 (I feel that the game isn't getting the attention it deserves because of all of the great games coming out).

Persona 4 Golden10
Aug 10, 2016
So as someone who just the other week finished the game with the Golden True Ending, I think that I am very qualified in leaving a review. I won't go into spoilers but I highly recommend that you look at a guide around September and December so that you know who to max out social links (prior to end of December for Golden Ending), and in early December to get which ending you would like to get, otherwise the game pretty much ends in December for you and you miss out in 20 or so hours of gameplay). This game takes a long time to beat, especially if you're going after the Golden True Ending. Take your time and enjoy the game. If you play it on normal you will need to do some light grinding to make boss fights somewhat doable (or even easy if you're high enough). This game is hands down the best game on the PS Vita. I kind of wish they released it later on the PS4 so that more people can enjoy this game. If you have ever liked any sort of JRPG game, then you will enjoy this game. Persona 4 is how you do a good JRPG.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End10
Aug 10, 2016
Uncharted 4 is a great ending to a great franchise. The game was not too long nor was it short. It was just the perfect length. Towards the end of the game you will feel a little sad during some cutscenes not knowing what will happen. Since I am posting this review pretty late I will not go in depth since not many will probably see this review. If you are a fan of the Uncharted series then you need to get this game. If you've never played them, I highly recommend that you get the Uncharted collection and beat all 3 games prior to playing this.

So a lot of people seem to dislike this game. I think that it has to do with the hype that this game received. No, this game did not live up to the hype but it is a pretty decent game. I wouldn't recommend most people buying this at the full price of $60, I'd recommend to wait until it drops down to $40 or so. If you like the idea of surviving (e.g. Minecraft) but would love to explore space and would love to take your time to enjoy the experience, then this game is probably for you. This game can be somewhat repetitive since it's very straight forward (gather resources, upgrade your ship, suit, go to new planet closer to core of the galaxy). The best way to describe this game is that it's a survivor/exploring game. When I say explore I mean it literally since the developers don't know what's on every planet that's why you get units (currency) for discoveries. This game isn't a space combat simulator, nor is it an amazing space shooter. It really reminds me of Spore, it's amazing because of the uniqueness of the game itself, not because the game itself is out of this world (no pun intended).

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection10

I cannot believe how some people are rating this low. This is 3 games in 1 with upped resolutions and 60 FPS. This is meant for people who did not play the games on a PS3. People complaining that this is a cash grab are silly. This isn't a bad port with bugs or with 30 FPS, it's a pretty good port with all 3 games in 1. If you bought this game brand new, that's $20 per game which is a pretty fair deal. Now you can probably get it on sale for cheaper. Now for the games themselves, I have completed the first two and love them. I got this collection back when it was released but didn't actually start playing it until a few days ago. I may put off the 3rd game until Uncharted 4 is closer but I may just end up beating Uncharted 3. The uncharted series are a love it or not series. It's a great series with fun gameplay, nice graphics, interesting story, interesting characters, and puzzles. Even if this isn't your type of game, then you shouldn't give it a bad score. That's like someone who dislikes science fiction movies giving the new star wars movie a 4/10.

Now to be fair I have only spent 4-5 good hours on this game so far so I may not be qualified to give it a full review, but neither are the 820 negative ratings -_- This game plays well for me at 4K with consistent 60 FPS (if your system can't handle eye candy then you need to use the right graphical settings). I started off playing the first 2.5-3 hours with a keyboard and mouse (I tried using an XBO controller and I didn't like it). I ended up getting a steam controller today and after choosing the right config, I love it. This game has quite a bit of RPG elements but it's also a FPS/ 3rd person shooter. The game can be unforgiving if you don't plan your attacks, but if you play smart then you will be satisfied with the gameplay. As for the story, I enjoy it so far but to be honest I'm doing all of the side quests that I get the chance to do. I am in no rush to beat this game. I'm giving it a 9 out of 10 simply because I feel that they could've updated the game engine (apparently it's the same as Skyrim).

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain8

No spoilers here. TLDR: Pros: +Great gameplay +Good amount of content. Chapter 1, 2 will take around 38-40 hours depending on fast you rush content. +Graphics are stunning on the PC at 4K +Good optimization for PC +I love MGS so much that I'm playing it again on the PS4 +Cinematic render in real time. The blood you have on you will show in the cinematic. Cons: -Story was a letdown compared to previous games -Dangerously very few cinematic scenes. Which is bad because MGS games are known for their story -Game was unfinished (missing important final boss fight) -Game can feel repetitive So just to clarify, I beat chapter 1 and 2. So I did beat the game so this is an honest review from a die hard MGS fan. I play MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, and MGS4 on their original platforms. I unfortunately did not beat Peace Walker. I didn't like how that game (Peace Walker) was based on missions instead of the linear flow of the previous games. Unfortunately, the downfall of this game for most die hard MGS fans is that this game was tailored to be mainstream. Instead of a linear fantastic story, you get an open world were the story is sacrificed, yet the gameplay is better than ever. Also, this game feels close to Assassins Creed, being that most missions have the same core (extract, destroy equipment, eliminate target) feel. Also a lot of the main story missions feel too much like a filler mission. Like the filler episodes you'll get on TV series that are there just to extend a season to 20-30 episodes. The biggest insult is that later in the game, "new" missions appear that are basically the exact same missions that you completed before except there will be a new twist. You'll have to do these new missions or do new side ops to advance the story. So my advice is to keep a good amount of side ops for towards the end of the game. Also as of this writing, do not use the female buddy during mission 29 and 42. As of this review there is a critical bug that will corrupt your save file. I used her on mission 29 and didn't encounter the bug, but I didn't bother with 42 because mission 42 if I remember correctly was the same mission with a twist. Also note that Konami did us dirty. There was suppose to be an epic ending but it wasn't finished and therefore is not in the game.

Batman: Arkham Knight9
Jul 6, 2015
I originally got this game for the PC (I had only played 60-90 minutes). I eventually got a refund for it because WB stopped selling it and I was worried about prospects of getting the DLC (I got the premium version). So I ordered this version (PS4). I just beat it last night and this game is amazing. The story is fun, the game isn't too repetitive (even those riddler challenges). Now I am not going to spoil the ending but I only finished the first tier of ending (there's 3 total). My review is based off that first ending. The story was very intriguing. When I was younger I use to watch the Batman cartoons and even some of those old reruns of the old show (I'm 25 now but I saw those reruns when I was 5 or 6). I even saw and loved the first four batman movies. I love the Dark Knight trilogy. When I was 10 or 11 I loved watching Batman Beyond on cartoon network. Having said all of this I have never been into comics. I feel that the story of this game does Batman justice. I took one star off because there are no boss fights outside of using the Batmobile. Driving in the batmobile is fun but I feel like it's forced too many times.

The Last of Us Remastered10

I loved this game on the PS3 and I am loving it on the PS4. This game has one of the best stories of all time. I really feel like this is a movie more than a game (story is that great) but plays amazing (not like those failed games that focus on only the story and neglect the mechanics/gameplay). Pro: -Improved graphics -60 FPS or loked 30 FPS with improved shadows -Uses the DS4 controller (best controller ever) -Includes all of the DLC (not the extra stuff for multiplayer like cosmetics) -Photomode (this mode will consume a good portion of your time. So much fun) -I never played multiplayer mode on the PS3 but wow, the MP on this game is so much fun and amazing. Cons: -I personally haven't experienced any but one bug in which Joel disappeared for a few seconds while playing but that was just it. I've heard of people experiencing some other minor bugs but I'm sure that all of these will be patched soon.

So, this game reminds me of 10 years ago when World of Warcraft was first released. The leveling isn't as long or as painful as vanilla WOW but it's where it should be. Dungeons are finally fun again and no longer face keyboard instant win. - PVP is fun -Graphics are great and will be good for a long time due to design choices -Great performance for the current release (will only get better) -Quests are pretty fun. I play as a level 25 Stalker and I haven't enjoyed a game this much since Vanilla WOW.

I finally managed to beat this game. I first got it on a sale on the PC but never got around to beating it. When amazon had a sale on this game for the PS4 I jumped on it. This game is worth the full price and is meant for newcomers to the series, or those who had the PS3 / 360 version and wanted to play the game on 1080P. This game is an upscaled port, nothing more (other than the DLC). People who rate it down (below a 5) because it's an upscale port and not a new game are **** the brightest individuals. I honestly don't know how long it took to beat (I didn't keep track of the hours) but I would say that the game had medium length. There was never a dull moment in the game either. The graphics are amazing for a console game. Frame rates were pretty smooth but I did notice a few drops during some scenes. Nothing to downrate the game for. I thought that the new face was nice. It gave more life to Lara. I love the voice commands. But I did notice that sometimes it would randomly pause the game when I had the fan on. I never was into the old school Lara Croft games (I'm 24), but I really enjoyed this game. This game is probably the most underrated game that I have ever played. It's such a shame that people are downrating it due to the price. Pros: +Graphics +Controls +Voice Commands +Includes all DLC +Game length is perfect +Fun gameplay +Great story +Great performance Cons: -Price (not worth it to down vote the game) -Some issues with voice command if you have background noise -Although the story was great, I felt that the ending didn't do the game justice. Especially the final boss "fight". It felt like the minions leading up to the main villain were more of a fight than the actual villain.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f9

This is a niche game. It's not meant for the masses, especially in America. I personally like this game because I've always wanted to play a music based game without using an instrument and these type of games (rhythm) are a perfect match for me. I like anime, I like Japanese games, I like music based games...wallah perfect game for me. I played this on the PS3 but I didn't play that much. I feel that this game is perfect on a handheld. The 5" screen isn't too large to the point where it's hard to keep along. Best part is that you don't have to worry about input lag since almost all of these vita screens are similar when it comes to input lag. Pros: -Fun -Addicting -Casual (I can take my Vita out of my bag and play this game when I have some free time. Just simply turn on Vita, and resume playing...better than a smartphone). -Pretty anime (warning, it will distract **** you want to watch the videos then select watch music videos) Cons: -The scratching icon (rear or touch) can be pretty tiring, I wish that they let you use the joystick like on the PS3 -Game can be at times a bit choppy (not to the point where it will mess you up but I notice things like that).

First, I would like to clarify that my real rating is a 7.5 but I decided to round it up since a lot of people are being a bit too harsh on this game and giving it a 0 (games that deserve a 0 are horrible games that never deserved to see the light of day, not a game that isn't your cup of tea). I would also like to throw this out there. I feel that this game was limited because of Microsoft and their demand that this be the MUST HAVE GAME for the Xbox One. That means that isn't a lot of content in the game compared to some other rivals (missing a true campaign that truly explains what is going on, only a handful of game modes, very few weapons and limited game mechanics). This game is great for an Xbox One game. 6vs6 on that console is good since the console is pretty lacking (It's like the older brother of the Wii U). But for the **** can be a bit disappointing. The graphics are nice but they're not GREAT or AMAZING. It's not the kind of game that makes your rig flex its muscles. It's the game that's meant to be played by the masses (like WOW). Now for a game like WOW that's fine since those type of games are never about graphics, but FPS are the most eye candy games. I feel that for the PC the graphics should have been much better and the maps should have been 125-150% larger with 10vs10 matches not 6vs6. I have no problem with enemy AI, I just feel that they need to be adjusted because they're simply too weak. Honestly, if anything I feel that they're just a distraction. They're the pieces of turd that are hiding the good stuff (pilots). As for balance, I feel that the game is pretty balanced so far (but hey I've only played for like 90 minutes or so). This is the kind of game in which you can jump in for the first time and do some damage or simply get destroyed due to your lack of your surroundings (and inability to focus on the mini map to distinguish between AI and Pilots/Titans). For a console game, it's worth the $60 price tag, but for a PC game...I feel a bit ripped off. I think that it should be $40 or at most $50. Now down to the point. Is this game fun? You can bet your rear end that it's fun. It's extremely fun and it makes you want to come back for more. I had to chose between this or MGS Ground Zero (PS4) and well I chose this game. I can see myself playing this game for around 100 or so hours (I only have like 20-22 hours in BF4 and somewhere around 40-50 in BF3). This game has been hyped but it's stable. I can actually play the game and don't have to worry about having my game crash or have some audio problems or graphical glitches or even lag due to poor programming. In a nut shell Pros: -Fun -Addictive -Simple controls (no complexity) -Mechanics simple -Noobs can have fun -Losing isn't that bad -My blood doesn't boil due to getting killed from lag or some crap or having my game crash Cons: -Was obviously made for the Xbone (bone box) -Limited graphics for the year 2014 -6vs6...should be at least 10vs10 with maps that are 125% larger -No legit campaign mode (A bit disappointed. The original COD PC games had fun campaigns that were worth playing) -Limited physics (Titans should have the power to destroy buildings...Come EA!!! Let Respawn use that Frostbite engine. They'll put it to better use than Dice).
