Whoever says this is a 10/10 (Or even over a 5/10), or a "return to form" are absolutely deluded. Now, aesthetically, this game is okay. I liked the visuals, the ambience, the characters not too bad and the story was quite inoffensive (For what I obtained.). But I am NOT playing this game multiple times for the other endings. Why? This game is a slog. This game WOULD be at least an 8/10 if the combat wasn't so dreadful. I don't mind strictly melee combat, but whoever thought it was a good idea and whoever greenlit the idea of a stamina bar and (let's face it) Dark Souls-esque combat with weapons that break SO easily should either be fired or just jump ship to FromSoftware. Fans of Silent Hill have been begging for a revival and Konami listened.....then immediately f'ed the fan base raw. I found myself weaponless a few times with how scarce they are in the early game and come about halfway through, playing this game just started to turn into a chore, rather than it being fun. It also has bad crowd control and there is no way to counter grapple attacks form enemies, which can take a large chunk of your health off, not even a button mash QTE to fight them off. What an absolute let down. Konami should be ashamed that Bloober are the ones actually carrying this franchise now. In fact, just give them it at this point. SH2Remake wasn;t perfect, but I played through that multiple times and I have no doubt that the SH1Remake will be just as good. Konami should just fold and sell their IPs off to more competent companies or do that anyway and just focus on Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Either way, Konami just love kicking this franchise in the teeth while flipping the fans off with both middle fingers.

Getting sick of these Friday the 13th/DBD clones and we still have Killer Klowns to come. Its just an all around bad game, that was an obviously lazy cash in for the devs. These games based on horror films would be great as an action and/or survival horror, but instead we're spoon-fed this trash..

This game blows. I usually go into full detail, bu the entire thing is just so bad. Glad I got it in the sale for around £0.89. Would have been more angry if it was more than that. Avoid There's so many better DS clones out there.

Stunlock: Before the Ashes Yet another souls clone with puzzles. Combat is clunky and your character is way to slow to the point that the enemy can just constantly stunlock you. It takes forever to heal (And your "estus" doesn;t refill at the "bonfires", you have to die to refill your health items). I don't know devs in 2022 can look at their slow, janky combat and say "Yeah, that's perfect" Art style is okay, but that's the only thing that has going for it.

Going to give Tunic a 7. Why? Let me explain.. The visual and music in this game are beautuful, I adore both. The main character looks good. The presentation as a whole is great, but I'm tired of these hard for the sake of hard games. Tunic is a very difficult and the devs know this as they put a "No fail mode" option in the options, which is invincibilty. A lot of these indie games are putting this option in nowadays. But I'm going to talk about this without acknowledging that no fail mode. Enemies can hit hard and relentlessly. Near the end of the game enemies can drain your maximum HP to nothing with some sort of poison or something. The bosses are difficult also and the combat can be a little sluggish. It does try to be Dark Souls in a way, but it's a bit....Slow. I like the in game language, but don't like how you can't eventyally get something to translate it, which means you get items, but you have no idea what they d until you use them. Some you can tell what they are like bombs, but the items, which are sort of like the rings from the souls games, you have no idea what they do or what their effects are. I think the dev should have makde it slightly easier to tell what things are and even where to go, as the game never really gives you any direction. Like I said, the visuals and music are great and I've only given it the 7 due to the invincibility option. In truth, I would have scored this lower if it was non-existant as it is just too hard, even for a souls vet. Slightly disappointing as I was so hyped for this when I first saw it years ag at E3. It's on Game Pass, so try it yourself any way. It's not a bad game, just unbalanced.

I got Elden Ring on launch day and was blown away with it. The scenery is great, music is nice, plays like Dark Souls, I was in heaven. But the the major bosses are just very, very unfair. I'm a FromSoft veteran who's completed the King's Field and Dark Souls series, Bloodborne and Sekiro multiple times. This game isn't difficult like Sekiro or Bloodborne difficult. Those bosses were challenging, but very do-able. The problem I have, is that the majority of bosses in Elden Ring just spam attacks absolutely non-stop with infinite FP and stamina, leaving an absolute minuscule window to get hits in. Soloing this game is nigh-on impossible, especially late game when the difficulty is rammed even higher and suddenly. These games, which heavily punish the player for mindless aggression, Miyazaki is quite happy to not apply that rule to his AI. And it proves how BS a boss is when noone even drops down co-op summon signs, because they don't want to go through that certain boss again. I'm not saying it needs to be made easier, just a little evenly balanced. But then maybe try and embrace a wider audience by adding a slightly easier mode? All you need to do really is keep runes on death, that's it. But that's just me. Rated it a 7 out of 10, because outside of the major bosses, this is a fun game, which I enjoyed with great exploration and design.

This game is pretty good and a nice nod to Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. It can be very challenging in places, the music is good and it can be very gory and have explicit imagery. I had a great time playing this title, but the only gripe I have with it, it that it isn;t a long game and the game world is pretty small, hence the 8 rating. I managed to 100% the game in a couple of days, but I had a blast playing it. multiple times to get everything in the game. It plays like any Metroidvania with a lot of side quests to complete, earming money for spells, weapons and armour and also earning EXP to upgrade health, strength and magic points. If you're a fan of old school Castlevania, Shovel Knight, Zelda II, etc then this game is definitely for you. Hopefully, if The Arcade Crew make a sequel in the future, I hope it's much larger in scale.

Music is nice, visuals are okay, but the hole/level designs are just bad. You can be under par for a fair few number of holes, then BAM you're faced with a hole, which is near impossible to complete under the par limit. And then the next one is **** the one after that is even worse. They give you a par 4 on a hole that takes about six shots to even get near the hole. Controls are not great either and you either overshoot or undershoot. This game is a mess.

Honestly not sure what's going on here. it starts with a woman getting out of a car and going into a building to log on to her laptop. She searches for a specific word and a few videos come up (Which when i played were always at the end, so I had to rewind them to the beginning, which was annoying), a couple **** and one of a woman, whom I assume is who he's supposed to be talking to in this monitored video call. There is no direction however. Who are these people? Did one commit a crime? Did one murder the other, or was suspected to have done so you have to prove he did/didn't? The game tells you nothing. After watching about three videos of boring dialogue I got bored and deleted it. I'm not saying I need my hand held during games, but slight explanation of what's going on would be appreciated. it encourages you to search for specific words, which takes you to more videos, but again, what am I looking for, besides lies?

This game is unfair, plain and simple. I get it's a "rogue-like", and supposed to be RNG, but again, it's so unfair. You get into a good run and then you get mowed down by enemies, which instantly end your run. They always seem to get dice they need, which heavily impacts your next move (The Loud Bird enemy ALWAYS gets doubles to silence you, gets an even to didge your attacks and always gets an odd to weaken your attacks, but this sort of thing isn't limited to this one enemy). Enemies seems to change attacks as well, while you're only locked in to a certain number, they change theirs constantly. You could have 15HP left and the enemy always seems to get an attack that triples their damage with a 5, and always gets a 5. Most rogue-likes usually has features to help you progress, but this game is so "random" in a way that's against the player that it's so unfair!

First of all, the genre it's under on this website says open world. This is NOT an open world game. This game needs work. It's kind of like a free-roaming Pokemon Snap but with dogs. It's a game I'd love to get behind, but it has a few problems that need working out. The game has you leaving and re-entering the first area constantly because you can only upload photos to the in-game version of Instagram so many times before you stop getting followers and likes for that session in order to progress, which means, you have to leave and re-enter for it to reset. Honestly, I never made it past the first area because I go so impatient with seeing it with how many times it makes you play in it. The music for it is very, very repetitive. It starts off cutesy and nice, but when yoou've heard it loop constantly for 45 minutes, it really starts to grate. You get rewarded bones (or bonks) for completing objectives, but you never get the rewards for completing it. At least I don't think so, my bonk count never increased. After a certain ojective, you get a "selfie mode", which I completed, but for some reason, selfie mode couldn't be found, weird The camera control is janky as well, not very fluid at all. I hope the devs work to fix these problems, as it is a game I really want to like and play. The constant repeating of the first area was just too much. They need to fix that if anything.

Serious Sam 4 is an okay game, but like the previous games, Croteam can't do decent level design in this game, they add multiple enemy gauntlets in single levels that last ages, which I'm sure is a crafty way to try and drag out the longevity of the level. I'm currently playing this game, but I seriously can't play more than one level per sitting, cause again, it's an okay game that controls well, it's just the boring, drawn out levels.

It's basically a mash up of Pokemon and a Metroidvania. Not a bad thing mind, I enjoy both types of games. It starts off strong, quite enjoyable, the battles are slow (And the devs even knew this by putting an option to speed up battles in the options). Exploration okay, but nothing new. I like the aspect of collecting monsters to fight your battles, but the boss battles are slow. Even on x2 speed. Elemental weaknesses don't appear to work in your favour as you do little damage anyway. Boss characters can attack more than once in a turn and they hit hard and ultimately what lets the game down. 4/10 seems fair as there is a bit that needs fixing. Mainly the boss battles and balancing. I would say try it for yourself as it is free on Game Pass, but pay cash to play it? No.

The other reviews for this game must be paid for reviews. It doesn't deserve any higher than about 6. It boasts to be "Open world", when really it isn't. You have to buy land with coins, gradually unlocking the entire world. If it was open world, there wouldn't be a need to do that. I clocked about 20 hours on the game and pretty much did everything. Did I enjoy it? A bit. There are more cons than pros however. It's an addictive little game, which is a good and bad thing. You can be sat playing and a few hours pass by, now onto why it's a bad thing. It's £16.74 on the Xbox store if you don't have Game Pass and for what you get, it's a huge rip off. Everything goes by real time, be it structure cool downs, crafting, fishing, stores upgrading their stock, everything. The higher ranking the crafted item is, the longer it takes to craft and it can take literal hours to craft depending on what you are crafting. You get spells and items and perks to speed this up, but most of the time, it doesn't feel like it works. If you actually inspect the in-game cooldown times, you will also notice that three real seconds pass before one second passes in game. So a 10 second cooldown actually takes like 30. I wouldn't mind the ridiculous crafting and cooldown times if it was a free to play game where you have to pay to speed up the crafting process, but it's not. It's a cheap way to try and get longevity out of the game. And for an 8-bit game, the more map you open up and the more resources that spawn, you are met with a LOT of slowdown and lag that it gets irritating. It feels like a stripped down, 2D Minecraft with all the freedom taken away. £16.74 is way too much to charge for this game. I'd say it's worth about £6.99 max. I said it's a good and bad thing that it's addictive. Good, because at first it can be and is fun, but the longer you play and the more time you need to craft things, it quickly becomes a chore and turns boring and then you start wishing you hadn't wasted like 10 hours on the game when you could have been playing something much better. All in all Forager is basically a glorified mobile game that found it's way onto consoles and is way to overpriced for what happens in it. As I said before if it was a free game I'd understand the long crafting times and would have rated the game a little higher. I'm not saying avoid this game, by all means give it a go if it's your thing, but there's just no rewarding feeling about it at all. It may as well be called Waiting: The Game.

I enjoyed the heck out of this game. But the battle system is just wrong. I have no idea how the critic scores have zero negative reviews and a couple of mixed. The combat system is the most frustrating I have played in any JRPG. It's slow, your familiars tend to jump about instead of attacking some of the time. You get pretty much zero time to react and defend when a boss unleashes a powerful attack, Oliver 100% of the time casts Ward for some reason when you control another character, the amount of times I had to recast a spell cause it gets cancelled by an enemy attack (Or an ally's ability) 95% of the time, MP replenishing items are so expensive, when it's heavily reliant on using attacks that cost MP, I could go on. Don't get me wrong, I loved the game, story and characters, but it's just the battle system that let it down. I just feel that if it wasn't a Studio Ghibli game, this would have gotten bombed due to the combat system.

If people want to rate this game 7, 8, 9 or even 10 out of 10, that's fine. It's their opinion, but people who claim this game is "perfect"? No. Sorry, but you are wrong. This game is far from perfect. Breath of the Wild is an example of Nintendo trying to cash in on the success of Skyrim and Dark Souls, but they handle it all wrong. What's weird is that Skyrim is mainly caves to explore, yet I e njoy that. BotW is the same now with the shrines, but some take very little time to complete, but I don't enjoy it. Mainly, because I play Zelda for the Zelda mechanics, but honestly...There are none. Well, none may be harsh, but there is a huge lack of the "Zelda formula". You get all the abilities right at the start and weapons, you just pick up along the way. Everything is accessible form the start, which means you can't use tools like the hookshot to reach new places later in the game "Yes, there is no **** any other tools the past Zelda games have). Some of the battles can be very unbalanced against your favour, but then combat as a whole (excluding mandatory battles like boss battles) can just be avoided. There's really no need to fight anything in this game. The game offers a stealth mechanic, and this is seems to be broken too as enemies just know where you are. Buffs never seem to give you much of a boost. And if you really want to spoil a game, add a stamina gauge!. Dark Souls uses a stamina gauge, but it's far less hindering than the one in this game. Why? Because Nintendo decided what uses your stamina in a stupid way. Swimming up a waterfall doesn't deplete your stamina, yet swimming normally in a small pond does? And another take on Dark Souls, is that the lore is scattered around. Not in items, but in randomly placed books around Hyrule. The "dungeons" if you want to call them that are more puzzle based, very short with no rewarding items. I get Nintendo wants to evolve the series, which I'm open to. I'm not saying it's a massively bad game, but it needs work. A lot of work. It could still be a Metroidvania and still play as BotW. But the focus need to be more on dungeon exploring and combat. In truth, I haven't even mentioned all the gripes I have with this game. But, I enjoyed the game, but it's not one what I will replay again. Not right away anyway if ever.
