This game seems more concerned with pushing certain ideas than making a good Dragon Age game. Graphics look so bland and worse than the previous game from a decade ago it's unbelievable, writing is b movie level at most, and most characters look obnoxious and say even more obnoxious things. Gaming journos giving this a 9/10 is just destroying the little credibility they got left.

Decided to give this another go and played enough to unlock another part of the city and.. it's still garbage. I don't believe any real fans of the old games won't be disappointed. Ubisoft turned Driver into a cringe worthy Burnout type game. Graphics aren't great, the PS1 titles had better art style, this just looks yellow everywhere you go. Driving is good but now the city just feels like a playground to mess around, missions are extremely silly and you can shift at will even to evade cops which don't even chase you anymore for any small infractions you literally have to ram them to get them to chase! also to unlock story missions and the rest of the city you are forced to do the side missions. Story is complete garbage to justify the dumb "shift" mechanic. This is NOT a Driver game.

Awful presentation, it looks like a PS2 game and yet it had constant slowdowns. Loading screens take too long and you go through them every time you fail, cutscenes aren't skippable either. Combat feels unresponsive and enemies are pretty boring clones of each other. This would be average or below for PS2 standards. It's probably the worst X-Men game I ever played.

Like GTA games but with horses, except horses are nowhere as fun to use as a car or bike as you'd imagine. No cool radio to set the mood either cause you didn't have those back then. And just those two things alone make it a lot more boring, there's not a lot of interesting things to do and the story was pretty forgettable tbh. GTA with cars is better than with horses but overall Rockstar games are really overrated and its gameplay mechanics aren't particularly deep or rewarding. I tried to replay this game because tbh it looks really pretty and immersive but quit in the first hr because I just remembered how boring it was the first go round. Giving this game anything over a 7 is pure madness.

Played the first to completion, nothing special at all gameplay wise and only one memorable story moment. Heard the 2nd runner was MUCH better lol turns out the gameplay in 2nd Runner is pretty much the same as the first game, I honestly struggle to spot any significant differences, you basically mash square 99% of the time either to send an homing attack or use your repetitive sword slash, it's pathetic, most sub weaponry is still useless too, and sound effects are some of the most boring I've heard in a while. You don't feel like you're in a mech either, it's completely weightless like a plastic toy. What do you have to smoke to find these games even remotely good seriously? Probably some of the worst mech games out there. You have to turn off your brain to play these.

I completed a few of the tournaments but it felt like a chore to play. I don't get the praise, this is a PSPortable game rebranded! and it shows in its short tracks (shorter than the ones on PS1 games) and the simplified physics, ships don't feel like ships anymore, very stiff, very arcadey. The Wipeout series deserved a proper title on PS3 instead of a port of a PSPortable game with cleaner graphics which imo art design wise is a lot inferior to the Blade Runner esque look of 2097/ Wip3out.

Solid fun but overstays its welcome by forcing you to repeat the same tracks over and over and over again, without much in terms of rewards other than a new vehicle occasionally, this coupled with some heavy A.I rubberbanding. Soundtrack is pretty good better than the sequel. Gameplay could've used a bit more depth, track variety is lacking, and an upgrade/customization system would've added longevity.

To put it simply, it's a bad game. The game world is huge but feels really small because it's full of repetition, every area feels like you're stuck in a loop always seeing the same assets the same roads the same patterns etc, physics are very basic too, different vehicles just feel different by the amount they slide, no nitro, no crash physics nor detailed damage model like in other games such as Motorstorm or Dirt, not much of a soundtrack either just a few extremely generic pieces that don't even fit the post apocalyptic theme, racing is dull and free roaming is even worse all set to the most generic music ever.

Graphics are terrible, the worst looking game on PS3 by far, despite that it has framerate drops, car damage glitches and sometimes only appears 5 seconds after hitting something. Buttons work as on/off switches making driving properly almost impossible and lastly cars sound like squealing pigs. The amazon 5star reviews are a lie.

Ps3 version has some heavy fps problems in places but If you can look past that or play it on PC or PS4 you have a really decent RPG here with an amazing atmosphere, the areas really look handcrafted unlike in games such as AC Black Flag where everything looks like a lazy copy paste job, no real variety. Graphics despite being downgraded when compared to the next gen versions still look better than some late AAA titles that released with a 60$ price tag on ps3 like Dragon Age Inquisition,

To claim this series was inspired by Tomb Raider (the original) is an insult. TR had great level design, exploration, encounters with wild beasts and true platforming, Uncharted is just a tech demo with a story slapped on top, it's as linear as linear can be, and ND couldn't think of anything more interesting for gameplay than shooting endless waves of enemies, games are so dull I couldn't finish, the story has some cinematic appeal but doesn't come close to any Mass Effect or Metal Gear and definitely can't make up for the atrocious cover shooting gameplay.

Just like the first game this is a below average cover shooter disguised as adventure game just cause it throws a few half assed puzzles here and there. It has got some cinematic appeal to it but not in the level of a Metal Gear or Mass Effect, and unless you can endure below average shooting as core gameplay for almost the entire playtime, you're probably not gonna want to finish this dull piece of crap and move on to something else. Definitely not a sim. The helicopter controls are simcade, the sense of speed flying close to the ground is pretty good but the helicopter doesn't model momentum all that well, nor takes lift into account, you can go full speed in one direction and turn on a dime, or turn the engine off mid flight, and then on again just seconds before hitting the ground and still recover easily.. on "realistic" settings, lame. The worst offender though are the missions, absolutely awful, barely any effort was put into these, it's always you or a couple choppers vs an absurd amount of enemies, who start firing at you with extreme accuracy from miles away. I beat the game on "realistic". Almost the whole campaign is like a survival mode. The game gives you infinite ammo too to put up with the numbers, it just takes a few seconds for rockets to replenish automatically and hellfire missiles take around 2 minutes, again on "realistic". Might be worth 5 or 10$ IF you're really into Apaches and because there's no alternatives on PS3.

The only thing it retains from the old games is the handling of the muscle cars. The cops don't react to you unless you ram them, there's only one city now, no night missions or missions under the weather and gone are the days of having to really master the driving to evade cops, now you ram other cars like a truck, even got a silly ram button, and an idiotic storyline as an excuse to infect the series with trashy casual gamer mechanics that allow the player to teleport between cars at will. A Driver remade with modern graphics would've been so much better.

It's a very short game that apparently developers desperately wanted to artificially lengthen and couldn't think of anything more interesting than throw endless waves of enemies at you, literally every couple minutes. Areas look very interesting but are also very linear, platforming is on rails and represents maybe 10 to 15% of the gameplay together with a couple basic puzzles, the rest of the time is spent enduring the average gunplay that becomes so tedious it feels like a job.

The best combat and flight sim on PS3 by far. It could get a 9 if it weren't for the glitches in offline mode the developers didn't fix, such as landing gears being almost unbreakable on landing, no fuel depletion except in scripted missions and other things like engine overheating taking a lot longer to happen than it does online, all of these work properly in online modes but not in offline mode for some reason. Aircraft damage is also sort of inconsistent in the dynamic campaign and mission editor, resulting in being one shoted a few times specially with bombers, the fact a lot of the A.I decides to almost exclusively pursue you doesn't help either, sometimes you got up to 10 or more planes on to you. I was considering a 7 due to these issues but the game offers you two solid main campaigns, plus lots of well designed single missions, tons of planes, and the dynamic campaigns, it's a lot of play and replay value and the fact it's a real effort to bring a sim to console makes it deserving of a solid 8.

Weather feels too scripted and predictable as well. Story is boring with intrusive tutorials throughout. Fighting and naval combat were better in AC3, it's more arcadey in BF and animations are also a considerable downgrade as is the A.I and notoriety system. There's little incentive to explore as most treasure is auto converted to gold when there could have been some depth to the trading and far more interesting items and customization options, but it's like every other aspect about this game, it has no depth. There's some fun to be had but at heart it's little more than a superficial title with pretty graphics.

Gameplay: 6.5/10 Good at the start but becomes boring fast, lifeless open world where you grind for resources to develop your motherbase which is a series of empty platforms that allow you to build new gadgets that have little use other than mess with the less than stellar enemy A.I. Sound: 4/10 In a game where you can choose to go guns blazing, you'd expect sound designers to record some actual guns instead of somebody hitting synthetic drums, almost every gun sounds awful and detracts from the experience. Story 3/10 What MGS series was all about. TPP has only a couple great moments like the hospital portion and the other decent bits are diluted between the many repetitive missions the game forces you to do. Characters are the weakest in the whole series by far, even makes you wonder If this was really "directed and written by Kojima", and they are not just bad by MGS game standards. All the 10/10 reviews must be from clueless newcomers to the series who are not true MGS fans.

In Dark Souls nothing feels random, it is obvious developers put a lot of effort and planned out the areas beforehand. Item placement, enemies and shortcuts work together to provide a challenging yet fair and rewarding experience. Basically following the path introduced by Demon's Souls and expanding upon it. Traversing the game world feels like a journey, there is no warping from the start but the clever area design and mechanics that allow you to level up, repair and upgrade weapons at a bonfire, ensure that you won't need to backtrack to other areas most of the time. Interaction with other players range from subtle messages left around the game world that can either help or deceive, to co-op to pvp matches where you can duel or use a variety of items to trick your opponent. PvP is far from perfect and the game also sees a somewhat significant drop in quality in the last couple areas and bosses but it doesn't detract too much from the overall experience. It's one of the best games to come out in years.

I want to play a game not watch one play itself, that's what the gambit system comes to. You can still issue individual commands but it feels cumbersome due to how the action plays. -Game encourages a lot of grinding as without it you barely earn enough Gil for potions! -Soundtrack is solid but didn't stand out for me. Because vanilla wasn't ganky enough this DLC and the last one take ganking to a whole new level! Progression is just tedious, full of cheap encounters from beginning to end. Level design is good but not great, it has verticality but also the same issue many areas in vanilla had, empty corridors or rooms that lead somewhere that doesn't make much sense, it doesn't feel like a real place, just a game level. Bosses are the best part but partly because most were pretty mediocre in vanilla. If you compare Sir Alonne or Fume Knight to Artorias they pale in comparison because the hitboxes aren't as tight and the lore is weaker. Smelter reskin is worth a mention for how lazy it is. Did fans tell you the DLC was better than anything in DeS or DaS? well they lied or never played those games. The first DLC Crown of the Sunken King is good, the second is decent but brought down by cheap difficulty and the last is just plain garbage.

There are no weak areas like Demon Ruins or Lost Izalith but the game world feels a bit more disconnected, you warp to different areas and progress from there, but each is every bit as good as any you find in Dark Souls. The healing system is the biggest downside since there's an overabundance of healing grass throughout the game, I died very few times when I played and cleared most bosses on my first try. It takes away several features that were available in GT5 such as mechanical damage, tire wear/fuel depletion in arcade mode, visual damage is worse, rain effects are worse, A.I is a lot easier, less cars on track (16 in GT5 vs 10 in GT6), and a very lackluster and easy career mode. Worth noting that track editor is not in-game and doesn't work anymore due to offline servers, making credits is also a total grind and PD clearly introduced micro transactions for a reason. On it's own maybe a 7/10, compared to previous titles it's a 5 at most. The game drops all elements that made the previous games masterpieces and does difficulty all wrong, I guess that's what happens when the director changes and you have somebody at the wheel that didn't bother to study what made DaS/DeS excellent. The level design on those games, enemy and item placement all worked together to provide a cohesive experience with challenge and reward. In DaS 2 it seems like not much planning went into the crafting of the areas, the game world feels disjointed and transitions often don't make much sense, shortcuts are almost non existent and overabundance of bonfires replace them, non sensical level design left and right, downright lazy skyboxes and rooms that look early PS2 gen (no exaggeration). Most enemies aren't even challenging either, they simply come in large numbers throughout the whole game, as for boss fights they are mostly poor and lack challenging movesets, specially considering it's a lot easier to roll and move around your enemies, so much so that at times you can just circle around them without getting hit. And last but not least, the massive graphical downgrade which is actually dwarfed by the amount of steps back this game took gameplay wise. It's still an enjoyable game but constantly leaves you feeling disappointed.

Forget the bad reviews, this game is by far the best sim on console, I played Wing Over 2 back on PS1, Energy Airforce and also Birds of Steel on PS3. Aero Elite beats each one of them when it comes to flight physics. **** aren't too special that's its biggest downside and BoS does that better but If what you're looking for is the best simulation of flight then look no further. Each plane feels different and they take practice to land, specially carrier landings, there's also a pretty decent roster that includes some popular planes like the F86, Mirage2000, F104, Harrier, and so many more, there's also a couple choppers and heavy planes. You can change the loadout of your craft too effectively changing its weight and feel, for example, landing an F4 Phantom fully loaded on a carrier is really difficult. If you compare it to Energy Airforce, in EA it's a walk in the park.. this is the ultimate sim for console and a real shame SEGA abandoned the series.
