Destroy All Humans!10
Sep 27, 2023
Definitely one of my favourite games of all times. It's fun, it looks surprisingly good, it's full of humor, there's a ton of stuff to do... It also works very well, so very few bugs and stuff like that. Part two was so colourful that I'd chose it over this one, but this one is technically speaking a little better. Can't go wrong with either game, would certainly recommend playing both.

Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed10
Sep 27, 2023
It's funny, it's creative, it plays very well, and it looks great. Sure, they didn't have the budget of some bigger studios, so a few things aren't perfect. I regularly experience a lack of Vsync / screen tearing (a little annoying but nothing mayor), sometimes two people are sitting in the same spot so they're "in" each other, and perhaps there are some more bugs like it, but I've had zero crashes, and no bugs that affected gameplay. I loved part one, I love this one, and I really hope the final Destroy All Humans is also remade, or maybe one day they'll release a new game in the series all together. I'd buy it day one, no question.

I played this while waiting to install other Playstation games. I usually play on Xbox Series X, and this game blew my mind. The graphics are really good, I struggle to think of Xbox exclusives that look better. It's also just a really fun cute game, and a perfect way to show players what PS5 and the Dual Sense controller can do. Xbox and Nintendo can learn from this. I'm very happy I tried this and if this quality is what I can expect from other Sony exclusives, I'm very glad I finally bought a PS5.

Really beautiful and fun Soulslike game. I've played a few others, and the story and visuals are better than any Soulslike I've seen so far. The gameplay is also more accessible but still plenty challenging. The "difficulty settings" are really welcome for me, I understand people play games like these for being challenging, but I like playing more casual after a long day of work, so this is really rather perfect for me. Highly, highly recommended.

I already thought Horizon 4 had a more fun map, but Horizon 5 is getting worse and worse. Now you can't even grind skillpoints and get wheelspins from cheap cars. Arcade is also much less fun than Forzathon Live. Weekly challenges require rather specific cars, which is unnecessarily difficult to do. It shouldn't be so hard to make a new map, add some new cars and maybe outfits and otherwise copy-paste Horizon 4, but sadly somebody decided to get "creative" and essentially make the game much worse as a result. It'd still be a 7/10 game, but considering they did Horizon 4 before this and it was much better, this is a meagre 2 in comparison.

It certainly is faster and looks better than the Xbox One version. But Quick Resume fails all the time. In fact, even when just suspending the game by going into standby mode, the game will reset and if you didn't finish the mission, you can start all over again. Even the Xbox One version didn't have this issue. This upgrade really should've been free, but with the lower price it's kind of worth it, but not with this annoying technical issue.

In game economy was terrible to begin with, but after the last update it is even worse. You can spend either 40 euro/dollar on the best cars, or race for about a workweek and a half to earn it in game. Not to mention the massive prices for the ingame upgrades (you have to race for hours just to be able to afford all the upgrades for ONE car!). Cafe is the worst idea ever, it's a bunch of nonsense conversations for old men who consider themselves "cultured" or whatever, it's certainly not for people who just want to enjoy the freedom of racing in fast cars. Because of Cafe you can not progress in the order you'd like. Tracks have to be unlocked over time. Custom races are possible, but earn you a ridiculously low amount of money. Also, I've had crashes on GT7, I've had freezes and framedrops, it's playable but it's not a first party 70 euro/60 dollar (ex tax) experience. But enough complaints: I'll give a solution too: get GT Sport. It's cheaper, it works better, there's still freedom there, the racing UI is the same, the tracks are the same but a few are missing (which aren't fun anymore since the updates anyway) and you'll hardly miss the few cars which aren't in it, since you won't be able to afford those for probably months anyway. And even if you do, you won't find any real use for them in GT7. GT Sport is in retrospect a slimmed down and improved version of GT7.

I don't get why this game gets so little attention and pretty bad scores. It's pretty simple, it has plenty humor in it, it works well... and what's better than playing as a shark?! Also, it's free with Game Pass, which makes it the best deal possible. So yeah, it's not a AAA game, but for the real price (20 bucks I think) and especially on Game Pass, it's a really good deal.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition0

It does look a bit better than the old games in most cases. But to call this the "definitive" edition is optimistic at best. The game still feels very much like a PS2/Xbox game, and it looks like a Xbox 360 game at best. It's hardly worth the 60 dollar/euro and I just wound up playing GTA 5 instead. The difference is just too large considering this definitive edition came out 8 years later and still costs as much as GTA 5 did on launch. I was excited for this but it's been a pretty massive let down.

I bought it on launch because I really liked the demo, and considering some of the bugfests which were released late last year, it's incredible how well this game works on release. It looks great, the gameplay is a lot of fun, the characters are well designed, the banter amongst them is often funny and the game gives a lot of content/playtime. Levelling is a bit slow, but the game offers options to speed that up. I had two freezes during skits, but the game autosaves often and loading is quick on Series S/X. So it's not perfect, but it's certainly my favourite game in a long time and I'm eager to play more games like it. Highly, highly recommended and would be well deserving **** award in my opinion!

It's good in a lot of ways. Certainly the best open world racing game as far as I'm aware. But I could really do without the "play every week or you can't have our best cars" way of doing things. Just put all the cars in the store you fruitcakes.

Awesome game, a lot of humor, great gameplay. I haven't encountered a single bug, making this probably the only Ubisoft game this year (if not ever) without (major) bugs on launch. The graphics are very different than usual, more like BotW I guess, but I like them very much (more so than in BotW). Performance on the Xbox One X is perfect, I've seen no framerate drops or stutters or anything. The story is not mind blowing but it's certainly a fun adventure. The game world is pretty big and very colorful. Not to be compared to a game like Valhalla, but honestly I enjoy it more and think it's way prettier. And no, this game is not a BotW clone, because I didn't like that game but I sure like this one. The only shortcoming of this game seems to be the marketing, Immortals is by far the best Ubisoft game this year and they seem not to have gotten that across as well as they should have. I played Valhalla which was okay, I enjoyed Legion which was good, but this one is amazing in comparison. I sincerely hope Ubisoft will release a sequel to this some time, because it really deserves one already, even though I'm still going strong with dozens of hours in.

Amazing game. So much fun stuff to do. Very well made, both for tv and handheld use. Easily worth the money. Considering how much fun is to be had, it makes sense they put in some restrictions. Not worth complaining about, you’ll still get hundreds of hours out of it, each!

As an AC maybe not so good. But the franchise as a franchise has **** for a long time. Look at this as a separate RPG and it’s a gem. Huge open world to explore, big forts to defeat, great setting, good enough story, great visuals, especially on Xbox One X, and fun combat. If you want a big game for the money, this is great. It’s not comparable to much smaller games in terms of quality per amount of time, but it will last you many times as long and still be good fun throughout.

It’s Odyssey but more condensed and better made. Just exploring Egypt this way is good value for money at today’s prices. Get the deluxe/season pass/Curse of the pharaohs DLC and you can jump to level 45 after leaving the first city/modern day mission (from loading homescreen). No need to grind after that at all. Looks amazing on Xbox One X especially

Monster Jam Steel Titans8

A heck of a lot more fun than people give it credit for. I guess the pseudo intellectual reviewers forgot what simple sandbox fun is. Really, the career is just a way to get credits for different trucks to mess about with in the open world. This is by no means a sim nor is it a typical arcade racer with nitro and more thoughtful customization than racing like recent Need For Speeds. It’s just a monstertruck game in which you make most of the content by being creative. This game doesn’t go very deep, nor is really challenging so far, nor is the story or career or even tutorial very well thought out, it’s just having fun while doing crazy stuff. One con of the game is that picking up a penalty during a race happens a bit too often if you don’t take the time to learn the track. Driving is easier with two-stick steering which isn’t on by default, and takes quite a bit of getting used to. Also, the weight is seemingly unrealistic, although from what little I’ve seen, monster trucks are quite happy to fall over. Luckily you can reset, although winning a race after rolling it can be impossible at times. Perhaps more annoying is that you can’t restart career races without going back to the openworld “hub” or university as they call it. Again, I feel the career is just a way to gain credits for different trucks and upgrades, but they could improve a bit here. It should be possible to get this at 20 dollar/euro or probably less in pounds, and at that price you might enjoy this for quite a while, considering what you’ve paid for it. But if you want to show your gaming buddies how intellectual and sophisticated you are, you’re probably better off with a different game. I used to love games like SSX3, Need For Speed and Tony Hawks Underground, and although this clearly had a lower budget, I feel this kind of fits the same sort of category. That sort of game has been gone for far too long if you ask me, so I’m happy to see a new game which puts fun ahead of taking itself serious. I give this a solid 8 out of 10.

I love this game so far, I’ve been playing for about 100+ hours now and it’s been great. Sidemissions are getting a bit repetitive at this point, but exploration has been great. Customization is done wonderfully and the skill system is fun. I never care much for RPG’s because they often drag a 25 hour game on for 200 hours, but this is infinitely better so far. A 50 hour game for 100 hours I guess. I like Kassandra, if she were real I’d pee my pants but still be a bit in love, so good job. I like exploring too much so I’m not too far in the story but it’s okay so far. Considering what other AC’s have been like (I haven’t played Origins yet, mind you) this is about as much fun for me as Black Flag although I miss hunting big fish, animal hunting is a bit meh (even Legendary beasts), ship wars are less fun although boarding is much better with the improved engine. Yeah I recommend it but I’ll admit it could be better. The map is huge btw, so no need to go bigger next time, it just leads to more unused space or space for mindless sidequests. Leveling should go much faster with the current cap and considering it’s a full price AAA game (got the gold edition...) I don’t like that buying an XP boost was a good idea if you catch my drift. Edit: and the modern day story **** and definitely doesn’t make the game more fun. Ubisoft should finally, finally get some balls and drop it. It’s just holding Assassin’s Creed games back since at least Black Flag, which is the first AC I played.

I bought it on PS4 after I played it on the Nintendo Switch, because I wanted to get a diamond (?) trophy and this game was so much fun I didn’t mind starting over. Okay, it could be bigger, it’s not the most technically advanced game, but the design is great, the cat wordplay is cute and everything looks adorable. Even the gameplay is rather fun. It’s also cheap so I highly recommend it. 99% you’ll get your moneys worth.

Yeah, it’s cool, but get it on PC because some cars just don’t handle correctly on PS4. I don’t know why cause my wheel is supported and meant for PS4, yet it works better on PC with the same wheel. It’s also really slow with loading if you still have an HDD in your playstation, on a powerful PC races load in mere seconds. On PS4 I honestly think you’re better of with GT Sport; cars handle better and look better in that one and it comes with more content at this point.

Note: I’m biased cause I prefer console over PC, and I used to love RTS games. I like this better than Halo Wars as it allows more units and it’s much closer to the concept of games like Red Alert. It looks good, you can do skirmish whichever way you like and after a short learning period the controls are remarkably intuitive. I’d definitely recommend it.

Forza meets Motorbikes but with occasional bugs and too little possibility to adjust difficulty to your skill level. It’s still the best motorbike game (or is it MotoGP? Same developer and clearly technically similar so doesn’t matter much; just depends on taste) but it’s not Forza, it’s not GT Sport but it’s similar level quality to Assetto Corsa and Project Cars. If you accept that, go for it, but don’t expect AAA quality or you’ll be disappointed.

Dead or Alive 64
Jul 7, 2019
Initially I liked it so I gave it a 9, but I gotta correct it. Visually this is a big improvement over DOA5. The control scheme however goes boring real quick, with autocombo’s and such. Unlocking outfits is a drag, you need to grind way too long considering it’s as much a fanservice game as a fighting game at this point, if not more. I bought on launch and I’m getting very little content considering I payed 80 dollars or whatever (digital deluxe). They improved it a little in a patch but you should unlock like in DOA 5: an outfit per arcade playtrough, up till this point you might take days to unlock the outfit you want. They’ve put in less outfits and this seems their attempt to hide that. The prices and amounts of DLC are ridiculous. Not to mention the storymode is lackluster at best. I used to love DOA but this is not actually worth the full price. Not even $20. I don’t recommend it. Don’t vote in favor of this nonsense like I did by buying it. We should not pay developers for ripping us off. I hate to admit it to myself as i hate wasting money but this game, although visually pleasing, **** monkeyballs.

Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package10
May 21, 2019
Although initially rough in handheld mode and apparently straight up bad in docked, I tought it was doable in handheld day one. Since the patch (which was supposed to be day one but took a bit) I’ve actually played it in docked for a few days and it’s working great now. Better than easily most 3rd party (and some first party) big titles I’ve seen on Switch so far. The game itself remains great, it’s full of crazy action, ludicrous humor and insane weapons, the story is quite long and enjoyable. Never played Saints Row The Third? Very easy to recommend. Played it but haven’t touched in years like me? Still easy to recommend. I wish more games like this came out TODAY. Sure, the graphics are a bit dated, but the game’s a blast. I’m very glad they released this and I wouldn’t mind SR IV following suit. Sidenote: people who expected this to be 60fps on the Switch (which is not that powerful) are borderline psychotic and need help ;-)

Yakuza 08
Mar 4, 2019
If you want some gameplay action with your way too long and sometimes boring but mostly interesting and sometimes funny and usually emotional Yakuza movie, this is an awesome option. I played this twice and it’s still good. It’s not GTA in that it doesn’t do openworld sandbox very well, but it does have better story and probably stronger characters. In fact three of the lieutentant characters are in Dead or Alive 1999 and that’s almost an insult to their quality as actors (although I maybe confusing the quality of that movie with the later Western DOA movie). Whatever the case may be, this game has an excellent cast, the gameplay is great (although I prefer Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Yakuza 6 on that end) and if you like single player games with good and long stories and sometimes really funny sidequests: this is for you. Have fun playing and don’t forget: Yakuza Kiwami 1&2 and Yakuza 6 are available on PS4 with Yakuza 3, 4 and 5 remasters expected in non too long. I’m guestimating that’ll be 7 times 25 (175) hours of gameplay easy.

The most important thing of a racing sim is that you can drive realistically and pleasantly. I got this on sale and it's disappointing. The driving is not pleasant at all with a steeringwheel (Trust TR150RS). I tried carts, changed settings several times and it didn't get better. I also have Assetto Corsa, Gran Turismo Sport and F1 2018 and all of those work really well. Assetto is a better choice than PC2 if you want realism and GT Sport if you prefer arcade-sim racing. PC2 is the better choice if you want to waste your money.

Far Cry 55
Oct 18, 2018
The graphics are not as good as I would have expected from a 2018 game (Spider-man on the same base PS4 looks a full generation younger), the gameplay is not bad, but it's not really refreshing compared to the previous Far Cry which featured the same types of transport and many types of guns, some say it has new elements but outside of shooting from a helicopter and catching fish (which are admittedly both fun for a short while) I can't really find any. The story, which I won't get into detail about, is not exactly uplifting or positive. It's like every other Ubisoft game: fight against many different enemies that pretty much look the same until you "kill" the boss enemy after which the ending is very negative and therefor not rewarding for all your hard work. Ubisoft should be able to do a lot better than this. I'm really tired of this writing style which I've seen in Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Black Flag / Unity / Syndicate (I couldn't even play Origins for more than five minutes) and frankly many more. They should take a look into Uncharted, Spider-man, GTA V and several other games which contain about as much violence and as crazy aggressive antagonists, but still are way more fun to play, and certainly more fun to finish.

It’s sorta fun. The story was not mindblowing, but it’s fun, the gameplay is pretty good, it looks pretty nice, it’s sorta what you can expect it to be but I get a strong sense that the initial game should be as long as it probably would be including all DLC so far. However you can’t buy Forsaken without buying the main game (again) so owning the main game doesn’t make it cheaper which I consider a **** move. Honestly, if it didn’t feel like such a cash grab I’d like it a lot better, but I still consider picking up the expansions after they drop in price.

The game is much better than you'd think based on reviews. Sure it occasionally bugs out a little, but it's not like it's a broken mess. The gameplay is good, the graphics are nice, refreshing and pleasantly colorful. There's a lot of stuff to do; personally I've put 37 hours into it so far and there's still plenty to do. It actually does sandbox surprisingly well, but the city is not as large as GTA V's Los Santos and the vehicles are limited. But it's a superhero game so that wouldn't make much sense anyway. There's a bunch of characters to be unlocked with each a few cool outfits. The sense of humor might be a taste thing, personally I find a lot of it funny but I'm sure it's not for everyone. Anyway, I think this is in a lot of ways better than Saint's Row 4 and Gat out of Hell. If you liked those, I'd definitely recommend this. Especially now that you can get it at about €/$/£ 10. I got it at €8 so it's gonna be less than 20 cents for every hour of entertainment. You'll have a hard time finding that elsewhere :)

This is a great game if you think Forza has too many distractions. The graphics are good, the driving is good, the lack of deep customisation is a bit disappointing, the concept and roadcars-turned-racecar-turned-roadcars are awesome, the really fast concepts are difficult to drive, the content is still lacking but improving over time... Basically I recommend this if you like Forza but don't want to buy an Xbox, or if you're just a big ("sim") racing fan and want more stuff to play. Oh, and no lootboxes, gotta love that.

The Crew3
Jul 7, 2018
Very disappointing game. The graphics have improved after some updates, but the environments are still boring. Driving is unbelievably frustrating, you pretty much crash into stuff, turn the wheel, crash into stuff on the opposite side. It's arcady like Need For Speed, but without the fun. Also, it contains monster trucks which is awesome, except they're nothing like monstertrucks. You can't drive over anything, you can't crush anything, it's just a bigger car crashing into stuff. Frankly, GTA V is a better racing game, with much better monster trucks. I wanted The Crew to be good, but the reviews are true, this game is really, really bad considering what it could and should have been.
