Grossly underestimated this game. Play it. You might like it or hate it but consider that if you hate it, giving it a zero just because you don't get the type of story you want is ridiculous. Compare it to other games in the genre - see if you can find anything of this scope and story in an interactive form of media - yeah sure in a passive media form you can find comparisons but in the medium of games - this has no competition as a game.

This marks the start of an extremely problematic trend in gaming to be aware of - the removal of the single player in order to make and promote live service type gaming that not only charges full retail for a standard copy but uses additional microtransactions to increase profits. Taking the fundamental structure of something like Fortnite and PUBG and monetizing it. Yes it is the best Battle Royale currently because it is the latest, but it's only worth playing if you aren't sick of Battle Royale. Gets old incredibly fast, so early adopters beware. If you want to play this alone and get enjoyment from it, watch a stream and try to picture if you would have fun doing that over and over. Battle royale mode just is not that compelling

An absolutely fantastic spin on Kratos that I never thought possible. It manages to link in more story and familiar brutality through excellent pacing in the gameplay while maintaining a fantastic musical score throughout. This game is a must own and people will most likely be singing its praises for some time even after the initial hype dies down. Definitely a strong contender for game of the year.

This is a special case in gaming. A line has been drawn. This game has gone too far. **** with so many free-to-play elements can charge this much (while also including pay-to-win microtransactions) - and if we accept this, then we set a precedent that changes the medium of gaming forever. I truly wish I was exaggerating.

This game is quite horrible. Rent it out for a day and try it if you can. Apart from gameplay being extremely linear and that fact that picking up items doesn't matter anymore because ammo and items reset upon each subchapter - the feeling of isolation, fear or tension is absolutely ****. Whatever this is, it is not anywhere near the old resident evils, nor does it add anything new or worthy of the purchase price.

A truly fantastic journey and narrative with a new take on JRPG elements. Ni No Kuni takes the key fun and impactful elements of games like Pokemon, Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest etc and pours them into a game that is simply stunning. Buy this if you can and experience what more JRPGs should be like in this day and age. I'll be picking this up the moment it comes to PS4 if it ever does

There is something to be said for the brilliance and wittiness that sometimes are seen as unsafe decisions for a game dev. This game throws all the typical conventions aside - it feels like people in the office were just making jokes that they thought were funny. It comes across as personal. The characters are those you hate and are annoyed with until you spend enough time with them - before seeing them as necessarily awesometacular. Gameplay is more varied then Telltale have attempted before and this is objectively far more advanced than previous games. If you like Telltale games at all - buy this.

Short games rarely warrant full marks or raving reviews, and you'll probably read that this game is something you have to experience to fully understand why subtle gameplay and well executed sound design led this to win several game of the year awards - it is precisely that. An experience, and it shocked people that a video game can inspire strange reactions and emotions. A lot of this is subjective, but Journey has demonstrated that gaming as a legitimate artform can unravel emotions without a need for strict narrative or complex gameplay

This won a few game of the year awards for a reason. It is packed with content and brimming with epic quests. I never liked the way previous Dragon Age games were made and some elements of story and gameplay were shoddy. This game changed my opinion of the franchise by pushing the bar and creating compelling gameplay to complement and enrich the vast amount of lore.

This is one of the first games to successfully blend JRPG elements with an indie style platformer type genre. On the surface that may seem weird, however since it is carried out in such an effective way without taking away from the soft narrative - this game is a triumph. Taking a back seat from all the loud explosions of COD, it's refreshing to see a slightly different take on a genre that has been relegated to the background.

I've put over 50 hours into this game. Many people have put in more - because they've had fun playing it. Got hooked on the beta. If you haven't played the beta, that's probably the only reason you don't already have the full game. In all seriousness, it does something that no other shooter on console has done successfully - created a fun, truly team based, engaging, competitive game that has a high skill ceiling with a low barrier to entry and lovable characters. On the surface it is simple, but play it for a while and you'll understand why Overwatch exceeds the hype.

Uncharted 4 is the best game in its genre. It is graphically beautiful, well polished, the voice acting is fantastic and it has a wonderful adrenaline rush when played as intended. If you haven't played these games before or prefer to pretend you're a purist games critic (You may have noticed that a few people have been giving Uncharted 4 scores of zero out of 10 and saying that there are innovative games out there without mentioning what those games are) - then you may already be rating it a zero. But consider how ridiculous that is given this game has no competition. This game is an epic masterpiece and a fantastic tribute to long time fans. Must own.

The attention to detail and the care the actors took to portray the real grit of the game was astounding. This game is miles above its competition. It's one of the very few games that has earned its respect. Understandably the hype has caused some to hate on the game or has clouded their sense of fulfilment in the game (coming after the hype means that you're actively scanning for flaws rather than enjoying the experience). This game does not need you to read this review, it is undeniably a masterpiece. The crafting together of complex subtleties in narrative alone would warrant it praise... The Remastered version is far better.

This game is painfully average. You will find many people giving positive reviews to justify their purchase. As was covered by the Angry Joe review - this was a great disappointment to many. Do not be one of the people who say it's fantastic just to justify your purchase. Care about gaming - tell the truth. Unless you like bullet sponges and repetitive gameplay ofcourse.

There is no such thing as a "perfect game" - Only one that can deliver tremendously on its genre, and with that MGS5 truly does. Constantly pushing innovation and sadly finally reaching its true potential (game mechanics) as a parting gift from Kojima. Those who have not played previous metal gears may get a little lost, but those who have played at least a few and who appreciate the genre - you owe it to yourselves to take your time with this masterpiece. Simply put - if people could easily find other games holding so much hidden detail, history and story combined with layers upon layers of stealth gameplay mechanics then MGS5 would NOT deserve the resounding rank **** masterpiece. For all its shortcomings, that's always worth bearing in mind.

Destiny is disappointing because of all the potential it had. You've probably already heard that it is a grind fest, and it truly is. There is almost no campaign at all and there is no context for anything that you do. If you've watched the Angry Joe review of Destiny, you may have saved yourself some pain. This game is painfully average. I loved Bungie and I hope they can redeem themselves after this major disappointment..
