Still playing, but simply amazing. My only gripe is I'm not a huge fan of the dodge/parry timings. It should be more forgiving.

Early review. It's a lot of game for not a lot of money. If you enjoy challenging enemies, good character/gear progression, with tons of hidden classes, materials for weapons, etc. This game is for you. Also, it runs pretty well at launch (funny how many can't do that anymore and need to issue apology letters a day later) and runs on Unreal 5! Can't wait for future updates/optimizations as I sink hours into this. 8/10

Pros: Graphics/sound. Cons: Battlenet and bad customer service (unable to refund with under 2 hours of GT because I "preordered" it) Boring button mash, do t1 and beat campaign quickly, jump to t3 and grind. Zzz No real skill choice as every class is forced to go down the same path. Paragon system is just adding extra attribute points. Combat is the same just reskinned enemies down the same reskinned hallway layouts, doing the same 5 mission types. No support/tank classes. Game frequently has load stutters in every new area you go to instead of loading it in the background as you get near it. (On very high-end PC) Very disappointing for the price of the game, BUT they already have 2 DLCs in the works to give you content it should've had at launch. Just need more $$$ So win!

Tried posting a long and respectful review, it got filtered and 403 blocked over the word car (d) (good luck reviewing trading car (d) games)... So heres the short and ugly one. Refunded the game with under 2 hours of game time. The campaign was 27% complete. It's just a dlc expansion to the first game where combat and missions are extremely repetitive and no character customization. The few characters you're given are limited and boring with a car d system, why not a skill tree to give us some progression? The crafting and upgrading of weapons are nice but also limited, while the missions and combat is extremely repetitive. Hack and slash spam through this horde, find a random battery to power a closed door. Repeat. Finally find a gun, now go grind and farm to craft a single bullet. Bosses are easy to beat, but "bullet sponges". Wait for sale on Steam with all dlc and updates

In short: There's absolutely no content in this game, no end game, same 5 missions from level 0-60. Everything is a grind fest to slow you down, but even if/when you max something out, there's nothing to do with it. Game launched with 970k players, averages 150k now and they merging servers less than a month in.

Good shooter but needs to get rid of Apex specialist. Add scoreboard back, make minimap/main map zoomable. Maps have too much empty space. Absolutely no destruction except a few trees. Hazard zone is a joke and should've been a free standalone.

Weeks later, still a good game if you like paying $60 to be a beta tester. The issues with servers being down for hours only for them to come back up for 15 mins before they go back down is largely fixed. When there aren't server issues you have microstutters, framerate issues, audio going out or uncentered from you, blurry graphics and crashing. And after weeks of issues they wipe your character along with thousands of other players and only tell you for almost 2 weeks now "we'll fix and restore your character SOON" with no detailed information. The enemy AI is all the same just reskinned, pretty brainless and just mindlessly runs at you in mobs and the ranged characters hit you even when not facing you, warping into you, etc. The infantry are the smartest but they just take cover behind objects everyone else is just bullet sponges. Campaign can be beat in under 5 hours w/ your character reaching max level and world tier as well. The maps are boring with you running down different looking corridors until you reach a bubble with cover that's one of a handful of boss fights per level, no open world at all. End game? Have fun playing the same 14 maps over and over running down the same corridors hoping for a random legendary drop, but you only get the same 7 out of 150 some. Oh and forget about playing coop, the scaling is beyond broken. Your end game build can 1 shot enemies and clear expeditions quickly. Add a 2nd person and your damage and health stays the same but enemies are more than double health and double damage. A 3rd? More than 4x health and damage while your characters are the same. Also, if you're not the host (players connect to each other in instances to play, and then connect to the Outriders data server) you'll experience bad hit reg, skills not triggering but going on cooldown, warping around map and getting stuck in walls, shooting enemies do no damage, etc. TLDR, game isn't even worth spending $20 on. Stay far away
