Amazing game. Super fun. Must play. I loved Returnal and, admittedly, I was concerned after the first few hours if Saros would be as good/enjoyable. Well, I was wrong. The game is as good or better. It has the same intuitive controls (with some minor changes/ enhancements) and goes harder than before. The progression was great and had super challenging bosses. The final boss was a grind but totally a respectable challenge. The biomes were all creative and stunning. It was worth every penny and am happy to give Housemarque my money.

Yeesh... starts out with a bang and some good combat but it does not progress at all. The game could have been 3 hours if you could walk at a half decent pace. I'm upset by this because i was super pumped to play this and the first game was great. I will say the graphics are great and the sound design is phenomenal. Unfortunately it's just a really slow grind. Not much combat at all when I look back at it. Which makes me question.... what the heck was the game about? just walking around? Apparently there are hidden idols (i found some). But if i saw one in the distance that i missed i was like **** there's no point in going back it's gonna take me 20 minutes of walking. Also i dont think it would have provided me any extra anything. THere's no skill-tree. no new moves. it's pretty basic. Even at that, I would have been excited for more combat. weird game.

super good game. Is a great continuation of the original Rogue City but throws you into the action a bit sooner. Yes, I have also experienced some bugs, which is annoying, but will attempt to ignore that for the sake of the review. It is a great shooter. It's a bit slower paced (compared to DOOM, lets say) and is a bit cumbersome sometimes trying to move around and avoid enemies. Maybe that's part of the intrigue. The music and sound effects got better in Unfinished Business as well! some serious tense music!

This game was great. Sure it's a AA game but man, the gameplay hits hard. Sound is good. The realistic shooting of enemies is awesome. Can't really complain about much honestly. Can only give 8/10 because it's a smaller game. Animation sequences were kinda laughable. It didnt have the depth or progression of combat like other AAA FPSs but thats fine. I recommend it to everyone

Super let down. I was shocked when the game finished. I think you have have played the entire game in 2 hours if you could walk/run at a half decent pace. The combat was great.... at first.... but unfortunately there was no progression. Also there was very little combat, all things considered. The puzzles were good but became annoying because you moved so slow. my goodness, so slow. Like others have said, the story and visuals are excellent but that doesn't hit as hard when there's so little gameplay!! it's a walkathon for the most part. I remember seeing some shrines in the distance that i wanted to go find and was like "f that, that'll take me 20 minutes of walking". man oh man. super frustrated.

DOOM TDA goes hard. Its great. A lot of the criticism appears to be on the updated mechanics of having the shield + block/parry system, which I cannot agree with. The franchise is over 30 friggin years old. It added a new mechanic! good! Dare I ask what people would think if it was the exact same mechanics as Eternal of the previous installments? Methinks people would be criticizing the lack of creativity. I am also a Doom fanboy and can't say I've noticed the music being remarkably bad, like others have pointed out. Some maps have awesome music. No criticism there from me either. The chainsaw shield is so badass in addition to the three melee weapons. All the weapons are super creative I think - even the shot gun! The shield attack adds a totally different mechanic whereby you can flow around the map and escape trouble. This is also achieved because the mechanics and targeting with the shield are super tight (IMO). Sounds effects and gun noises are awesome. I found myself switching between a lot of the weapons depending on the encounter. My only POTENTIAL criticism would be on the dragon flying thing. I think it's a super cool addition however it isn't that robust. That being said, I don't expect a first person shooter to also have spectacular 3rd person flying mechanics - can't have it all, right. Looks like some folks also criticized the story. Holy $hit it's Doom for god's sake. This installment has far more story than any of the others and it's pretty decent and had a lot of creative characters I have to give credit for. Story also isn't overwhelming to the point where you get bored. It's Doom. Not Death Stranding. All thumbs up from me.

Overrated. Not sure how people are putting 10s. I really wanted to like this game. Let it be known, I put in MANY hours as well . First off: it's difficult. Albeit that's a desirable aspect for many, it's not scaled well. It starts out super difficult and you have little time for learning the combat mechanics and you feel ill equipped. I soon learned that doesn't really matter because your combat at the beginning of the game is largely unchanged until the end. I found nothing noteworthy in the combat progression... if you'd call it that. Combat: I found the combat to be SUPER repetitive. There is a light attack and a heavy attack. You use the light attack combo 99% of the time and the little monkey noises become irritating. There is no sense of variety or creativity - even with the other stances. I have to say the heavy attack was useless unless you get the enemy frozen. The closest thing to a block, or parry, is the "resolute counterflow" which is so difficult to time that it also becomes useless. You're better off just avoiding that move and keep grinding out light combos. Yes you heard that right, there is no block. Just dodges. Limited dodges too might I add. The perfect dodges were kinda cool, i'll give it that. but again, super repetitive and not rewarding. Map: there is not map. Yes you heard that. No visual map. you dont really ever know where you're going. I dont know if that's good or bad but it definitely feels like you're leaving a lot of stones unturned without the opportunity to even know where those "stones" are, so to speak. One might argue to encourages adventure, which it might, but yeesh - that also results in lots of aimless running around. Especially in the tight forest maps. Enemies; The enemies are challenging. Without a block or real parry, it makes fighting multiple enemies very difficult and unrewarding. Lots of rolling around and button mashing. Bosses: There are bosses. A lot. I will give credit where credit is due to the boss fight design. There are dozens of bosses. Over 100 ive heard. That might be cool to some but i found it a bit of a beat down. Around every corner was a challenging boss that often requires you to change you spells and combat skill tree. Again, this type of strategy and management might be desirable to some - not to me. perhaps im too old. There's no chill. It made the game lose its flow, to me. "oh a new boss a minute later? time to reconsider everything" is what went through my mind a lot. Very cool bosses though. (unsurprisingly very challenging bosses as well). I dunno. overall, not my thing. I respect the game development and what they were doing. Maybe it's ahead of my time and im too old for this but it just didn't stick with me. And god knows i tried. The lock of a block technique and no map still confuses me and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. By comparison, god of war combat is FAR superior. Challenging bosses but they didn't require total reconfiguration of your set up. they were "just" challenging enough imo. Ghost of tsushima - Similary, a bit repetitive in missions by the combat is far superior and always for more creativity and is more rewarding. I'd like to know if im insane or if anyone else agrees.

It's actually an 11, but the meter maxes out at 10. What more can I say that hasn't been said already? Amazing story, amazing visuals and amazing game play. The combat is fantastic as usual, however the developers managed to add so many more robust enemies that required both greater strategy and skill to defeat. I wish someone could erase my memory and I could start it all over again or the experience.

It feels blasphemous to do this, but I can't give it a perfect review or drool over it like everyone else. Yes, the game is absolutely beautiful and truly the most "open world" game ever but I just couldn't stick with it. I tried so hard and wanted to like it. I had had just come off of playing GOW:ragnarok so perhaps my combat expectations were higher. I got SUPER frustrated with the weapons ALWAYS breaking and needing to prepare different meals w different ingredients etc. It became SO tasking and time consuming. While some people loved the concept of a pure adventure and just roaming around....I didnt. Some of the side missions would take so long and consisted of just running around and lighting torches for half hour at a time. I dunno, it just wasn't my thing. Started to be a time ****.
