The Witness would have easily scored a 10/10 for me had it not been for the ending. Lackluster does not begin to describe it (no matter how sensical some people feel it may be). The Witness was captivating, pulling you in immediately and slowly dragging you further and further down the rabbit hole after activating each laser. It was almost a religious experience. The story builds and builds to a point where you believe you're about to completely transcend this immersive and beautiful world and then BAM! It ends. It ends and I'm sitting there, in front of my tv. The only words that come to mind are "What?". I've never gone so quickly from joy to anger in my entire life. I felt (and feel) cheated. I'm not quite sure what or how I was exactly expecting it to end but it was definitely not like that. I don't know what else to say. The end almost ruined the entire journey. My review would have been even more harsh had I not let a month go by before writing it. It is still an experience that everyone needs to check out but just don't get yourself too excited as you see things start to unfold.
