Bright... I am going to be honest, I have mixed feelings after watching this movie. After hearing about its release date / seeing the trailer I knew I had to see it (good or bad). Reading the first reviews got me thinking about the major difference in opinions between public and critics. The conclusion from my point of view is that the movie is pretty bad, the only thing holding it together is the visuals and the world they were trying to create (on which they probably should have focused more on). In many situations it reminded me of Suicide Squad (and all of its flaws). The character chemistry was bad, most of the plot points were lost along the way replaced by explosions and violence, and that didn't help the movie in any way. Basically it didn't captivate me one bit, there were only minor moments when it caught my attention, the rest was mostly unrelatable and impersonal. It was not as bad as critics said but it was not nearly as good as the major public considered. I am now waiting to see if the sequel could be some improvements (but that is highly likely). Steve Jobs... It started off as a casual Sunday movie, but it quickly caught my attention from the beginning till the end (with minor irrelevant plot points that were not really necessary). The surprise is that I wasn't expecting this movie to be that entertaining (seeing as the last Steve Jobs movie was a semi-disaster). Michael Fassbender actually did an amazing job as Steve Jobs and his characters' qualities, flaws, emotions and basically evolution were simply something worth noticing / rooting for and payed off in the end and throughout the entire movie. The rest of the cast and the story were enjoyable all in all leading to a well written and conclusive story (biography) of a real life person that changed the world (IT industry) as we know it. Deadpool... I have been waiting for this movie since it was rumored to be in development. After the initial trailer, I knew that I would enjoy this movies, a lot. So I re-watched the trailer over and over again. Long story short, on its release date I wasn't at least disappointed. I knew what I was expecting and got exactly that (and more). The most important aspect besides the creative jokes is of course the R rated category which definitely boosted the audiences' interest. Tim Miller along with Ryan Reynolds actually did a pretty unique re-watchable masterpiece to enjoy on various occasions. Deadpool has its flaws of course seeing as the main focus is captivating people through language and visuals but sometimes forgets about the story and actor development (including the main villain which is very forgettable). The Big Sick... To be frank, in the beginning I didn't know what to expect from this non-blockbuster movie. I watched the trailer, read some reviews and was looking forward to see how this movie would surprise me (since it impressed so many people - imdb, rottentomatoes, metacritic). The combination of real life events and how they occur in movies is really something hard to master. Michael Showalter did just that... The actors were amazing, the story was amazing, and there was a more than captivating energy based on a balance between comedy and drama that really gave me the chills (in some moments) while also keeping me on the edge of my seat. By the end of the movie I am pleased to say that it more than fascinated / intrigued me on multiple levels and I am pleased about it being considered for multiple Oscar nominations. After a long break, from writing reviews for movies, I've decided to start out with Spider-Man 2. Spider-Man 2, the best in the series. I've just finished seeing it, for like the 3rd time. There are not a lot of movie sequel that improve the non-sequel version. Spider-Man 2 is definitely not in that category. Even though I was really impressed about Spider-Man back in 2002, when it broke all records, Spider-Man 2 raise up to its level and in some areas even surpassed it. I'm not going to give you any spoilers on the movie, not really my style. But I will say this, the story line, the characters raise up to their full potential. It's not just action followed by more action, its something more, it impresses in every area of movies. Breathtaking moments, action packed fights, great development in the story, everything to make you see at least ****, hope you enjoyed :) my personal opinion on 2004's Spider-Man 2. (10/10)

Well, Super 8. One of the best movies I've seen so far, and definitely the best one I've seen this year. Filled with a great cast of young actors, an impressive story-line and a lot of mystery, Super 8 manages to keep you at your seat from the beginning till the end. A masterpiece movie of our times, in my opinion, having all the resources necessary to making it a blockbuster. A little too young, the main characters in our story, but still, they their job just fine. Special effects, really show you that people did put in some good money as well in this movie. Not many flaws, and in general a movie worth seeing, at least twice. I definitely recommend it to all tastes and to people of all ages. Not as scary as when you read about it. See it, rate it, maybe love it, but definitely give it a shot cause in my opinion you won't regret it.

The truth is, I wasn't really expecting much of this movie, but it definitely wasn't as bad as I expected. The story is really not that complicated, even though at certain points you're always wondering, who is who, what's going on, and so on. Very well made, probably the fact that it doesn't follow the story which we loved when we were children, made the public not appreciate this film. Great acting, small flaws in the movie, but in my opinion, a film worth seeing. Amanda, an impressive actress, couldn't have chosen a better role, followed by a strong male cast, and of course a mystery to mix them all up. Some elements really represent a sort of childish game, but all in all I would suggest you watch this movie. Not something you will remember in the past years, but still, if you're a fan of this kind of genre you won't be disappointed. I love movies and I liked this one. I really don't know what's the reason for all the small graded reviews, it was not at all that bad, that someone would rate it 0, for example, but I guess some people just don't appreciate the effort put in movies, even though you don't really argue with tastes. See it and rate it.

Even though many people consider this a very bad movie, I would very much disagree. Not a summer blockbuster or anything like that, but still a film worth seeing. Nicolas Cage, and his not very admired choices of movies, played a very strong role, as a protector, a crusader, and I might add he did a fairly good job, even though he can do a lot better. As an example "Face to Face". In general it's a history type movie showing the crusades, combined with magic and death, this is the very short version. See it, and you'll find out that if you enjoy films having the characteristics mentioned earlier you will be impressed, at least in two or three action phases. Not incredible special effects, but well and off a movie which will probably be forgotten sooner than you can say. Underestimated from every aspect, but as a conclusion not that bad. Not much more to say, see it, rate it, and move on.

Well, this movies isn't really what I expected from such an entertaining trailer. I really waited for this movies, a long time, and when it showed I was like, WTF ? Seriously. Not that impressive, I don't usually give bad marks to movies, but this one, really doesn't deserve more than a solid 5, maybe not even that, I usually appreciate hard work and especially great actors, even though they were not at their best in this movie. Maybe wait for a better sequel, of course, I seriously doubt that. Mistakes, over mistakes, story-line wasn't that great, not really having that ground history, which people usually admire. Not much more to say, it's not completely a waste of time, but I have seen movies from that category, much much better. But if you are a movie addict and want to see something new, that will probably stun you at the end, when you're surprised what you did for the last hour and a half, watch this movie. Story-line beats special effects, in my opinion, and of course above all, a decent acting performance, even though I don't have much to complain about Paul Bettany, except the fact that he chooses his movies a little unwisely.

Well, where to start from. Source Code definitely represents something new, not really never seen before, but more than certain a pleasant surprise. The idea of the so called "Source Code" really brings to live another side of humanity. In some parts I found the movie rather boring, even though the actors gave their best performance. Some minor misleading events, movie mistakes, but in general a great movie, worth seeing, at least once. A real drama. Showing what the human mind can achieve, maybe in a couple of centuries, is captivating, no matter how small the budget of the movie is. Unexpected from many points of view. It really depends on the tastes of people, some people might love it, some people might find it too boring, overrated. In my opinion the truth is somewhere in between. Trailer, as always shows the best parts, like in any case, but don't discourage, this movie won't let you down, from any points of view, especially if you're really into, how can I say, hard movies, where you don't have to just sit in you sit in your seat and laugh it off, it really makes you think about a couple of things, life. Watch it, enjoy it.

At one point in the series I really got bored of the same actions, over and over again. Not anymore. I went to see this at the cinema, and simply waited for what's to come for all 130 minutes in the movies. Very unexpected, but pleasantly surprised. Acting as always, not that great, even if Vin Diesel really captures the screen with his well known character. The appearance of Dwaine Johnson, really isn't as unwanted as expected, until the end. He represent a very competitive, sort to say, opponent. Another plus, would be reuniting of the former teams, from the previous movies. And now the ground breaker, the final chase. I don't really want to spoil anything, the main idea is see the movie and you'll find out for yourself how impressive and unique is in comparison to the previous ones, even though the first Fast and Furious(2001), was pretty good at that time. I consider the reason, now that movies are evolving on such accelerating passe, is the significant value they have financially. Some of them are much more improved, due the money fact. Fast Five is definitely one of them and a hell **** movie I might add.

Before this movie came out, I had very high expectations on how good it will be side by side to how good I wanted it to be. I wasn't disappointed. This movie is very impressive and in my opinion it's by far the best X-men until this day. Special effects were great, some minor movie mistakes, but compensated with great acting especially by James McAvoy, interpreting Charles Xavier, which simply captured the whole idea of what X-men is all about. Scenes coming together to make the viewers understand how their favorite characters began their journey, which is quite a remarkable idea, to begin with. Michael Fassbender is also a suitable Magneto, sort to say, a little stronger than i expected, but the idea is their demolished friendship and the war, on which the former movies are counting on. This is kind of the basic, the ground on which X-men evolves on. In general it's a great film, worth seeing, I would dare to say, even twice. In my opinion it's a solid 9 being a lot more balanced on every aspect, in comparison to the previous X-men movies. Anyway, the fact that some events are clarified really gives that boost to watch this movie more excited, which I consider an important factor in a great movie, especially a follow up. First class, a well chosen name, couldn't have picked it better. So I hope i managed to point out all important aspects. See the movie, love it, buy it, until you find another favorite X-men, in a couple of years. A lot of big movies this summer, but X-men: First Class definitely one of them.
