Red Riding Hood

Oldman and Seyfried prove to be the big attractions, but Hardwicke's Riding Hood legend still lacks bite.

Seyfried holds the camera's attention, playing this storybook business pretty much straight, although David Leslie Johnson's script puts the actress sorely to the test.

Intermittently enjoyable hokum at best.

Far more grim than "Grimm," and not nearly as much fun as it should have been.

RRH veers between monotonous, soapy seriousness and camp.

A lurid, loopy, utterly ludicrous enterprise.

This tedious retelling of the venerable fairy tale-"Twilight" with Oedipal kinks-takes place in a medieval village that is plagued by a werewolf, and that looks like a shtetl settled by California actors.

This movie is one of the best movies I have ever seen because of its plot twists It was undoubtedly a good movie with love triangle's and again, plot twists. I don't really get how people could dislike this movie a lot but I guess when someone likes it there would be someone who hates it. To me, this movie isn't that much of a cliche because of its storyline. If there's going to be a sequel, I would very much watch it with excitement and if maybe the story would go along with Valerie and Peter having a child and then them being in grave danger. I would scream my lungs out.

I think a fun way to play a classic tale. amanda seyfried makes an incredible interpretation. the only flaw is perhaps that it is a bit slow. I personally like dark stories.

Red Riding Hood is a 2011 horror film directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Valerie is a beautiful girl in love with Peter but his parents want him to marry Henry. Valerie and Peter are planning to run away but in the meantime Valerie's sister is killed by a werewolf. This will cause the arrival of his father Solomon, and will begin a monster hunt. Amanda Seyfried in the role of Valerie is very convincing and this shows his talent as an actress. Even Gary Oldman in the role of father Solomon makes no exceptions. The problem is that the cast is not able to identify with the role and large flaws, the plot full of cliches avoidable, the tension is not felt at all and too many similarities with the Twilight saga (the girl fought over by two men, the appearance of the werewolf etc

One of the worst films that i have seen on the last year. It's like a Twilight version for red riding hood, terrible. Please tell to the director that lycanthropes are people that transform into normal wolves, werewolves are MONSTERS.
