It's okay. For a guy mostly sitting in a chair for the entire movie, it was more suspenseful than I thought going in. The plot is not very smart, and you can tell where it's leading faster than the story gets there.
The biggest surprise film of 2026 so far. 28 years was decent, and this sequel felt like it came out of nowhere and was a very fast sequel release. I was shocked by how good this movie was. Really great movie that I'll be rewatching soon, and hope there's a 3rd film as they originally planned.
One of the most unexpected laugh-out-loud comedies. This film had no business being as great as it was, and even the visuals were pretty good. You can tell everyone had a fun time making it, and it shows on screen.
The movie doesn't take itself seriously, even for a comedy, and just has a fun time. It's not a masterpiece, but a movie I've come back to rewatch many times over the years.
Went in with very low expectations based on the reviews, but this is much better than what people are saying imo. Not amazing, but a decent enough time with a few heartfelt moments throughout.
Excellent written script that is more grounded than most movies pushing a message these days. This is a classic film that does it the right way with a great story and actors.
Watching this in 2026 for the first time and wow! I can see why this is considered a classic. It's a little dated watching now, but the story and acting is top notch.
Expanding on Night Watch with more budget, but the story is messy. I actually wish this were made into a TV show to allow the lore and story to be more fleshed out. This world is very interesting, and there is more to tell.
One of my favorite international films with great lore. I first watched this while in high school, and it was a different and very cool story that stuck with me many years later.
I never saw this growing up and didn't know anything about it outside of being a coming-of-age type of film. Stand by Me surprised me with its darker themes, and it really stays with you for a while. I can see why this is considered a classic!
Started decent and then really became slop towards the end. You can tell this was made by Disney. If a better studio had been running the show, perhaps this could have been great.
Great thriller with fantastic acting and pacing. A true classic! One of Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones' best films. This is a movie everyone should see at least once.
I've watched this at least 10 times over the years, and it gets way too much hate. I would love to see a sequel or maybe rebooted into a TV series. It's a great story with good visuals that holds up. It feels sorta like Star Wars but done better than any Disney Star Wars film.
I was too young to watch this when it came out. Finally got a chance to watch it in 2025. It's a pretty decent movie, and the visuals looked good for its age.
The dragon visuals don't hold up, but it's a good fantasy film I watched many times as a kid. Rewatching years later, and it's not as great as when viewing through a child's eyes. It's still entertaining, and Sean Connery is great!
Perhaps I had too high expectations for this movie, as it was just okay. It had great visuals, soundtrack, and overall good acting, but it never really pulled me in with any of the characters. Some of the conflicts seemed forced, and equally, resolving them wasn't compelling.
This movie stands up after 20+ years with an amazing story, and its visual effects still look good. This is a pure example of what is missing in today's Hollywood. A true classic!
Wanted to like this, but it was just okay. There are 2-3 amazing sequences that you would expect, which pushed this to 6. Everything else was lacking. Enjoyed part 1 much more.
Rewatched this many years later, and it wasn't as bad as I remember. It's still the worst of the series, but better than most movies being released today. Rachel Weisz's being recast was so disappointing in this film. If they ever make a 4th, I hope they bring her back.
Dave Franco and Alison Brie are great here in a film you typically wouldn't expect to see them in. The lore needed to be fleshed out, as it sets up something strange and interesting but never really pays that side off.
I knew nothing about this outside of the fact that it was set in space, and Sandler was starring in a non-comedic role. Pleasantly surprised, and it was a great dive into mental states and relationships overall. I wasn't expecting it, but it worked for this film.
Another example of an older beloved character who must be a miserable PoS in the sequel. Outside of that, this movie is just pointless, boring, and stupid. Sure, they brought in the nostalgia that was the only reason it got a 3 out of 10.
James Gunn, Superman by James Gunn is an okay time, but nothing special that is worth rewatching. If this was needed to save the DCU, I worry about what is next.
There are too many characters and various plot lines that all feel rushed. There are good parts here that were enjoyable, though. It kind of felt like they had two screenplays and decided to mash them together.
