28 Years Later effectively uses the tropes of its genre to insist that the line between a tragedy and a statistic is thinner than we think, and more permeable than we realize.

What most sticks in the brain is the film’s incidental meditation on the mythology of England from distant past to speculated future.

Yes, 28 Years Later is gory and violent and the zombie kills with that jerky Bullet Time iPhone rig are cool. But the film is also thoughtful, even contemplative at times.

Boyle still has an eye for suspenseful action, and much of it is breathtaking.

Mr. Boyle has made more than his share of memorable films, but he has also delivered some stinkers and unfortunately his new one carries the fragrance of a zombie underarm.

Very disappointing.there are certainly some great moments and the idea that the virus cannot be passed down to children from their parents is a good idea but mostly this film falls flat. Also, there’s a massive plot hole, how did the woman stay pregnant for nearly 30 years? The infected may not be dead but the baby wasn’t born when the mother turned into a zombie so it should have died in the womb a long time ago. There’s a lot of nothing in this film however, like I’ve said, there are some good parts and heart warming moments. Also, why skip to 28 years? What about 28 months later? Overall it’s just okay.

This sequel is a departure from the first two films. It's less of a terrifying zombie story and more of a family melodrama. A few new concepts are introduced, but without sufficient time devoted to any of them to fully flesh them out. The ending also broadcasts their intention to create another film.

Well, the story feels inconsistent like it was sewn from 5 different stories together, the infected now act not like they are driven towards the humans, but more like they are acting stupid, it's also illogical in a dumb way. That "WTF" moment outright insults the audience’s intelligence, the whole movie feels pointless...

I’m not sure where all the positive reviews are coming from? I thought this was incredibly boring!
