True Grit was a great movie with some very, very strong actors, characters, and a wonderful story. So why am I giving it a 7/10? Because of the ending. For such an uplifting middle portion, it seems wrong to end the film with tragedy like in the beginning. The ending was really the part that ruined it for me. And the god-awful song at the end did not help either.

This is a very weird film. That's pretty much the only defining characteristic - the humor (though little there is) comes from the odd scenarios and the satires-of-satires-of-stereotypes characters. I guess that's kind of good, but you'll probably just say "What?" most of the time. But it's not that bad of a movie. It doesn't make people more stupider than they are now. But there are FAR better comedies out there. Plus, what's with the guy in diapers who shoves himself in a chicken? Weirrrd!

This is one of my favorite movies. The humor is enjoyable for all ages, the animation is great, and the setting is very creative and sometimes pretty dark (like the scene where the anthrax burns the boat). Plus, I love the idea of science themes mixed with comedy and animation. It's really an underrated animated film, and one should definitely check it out!
