Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will give the adults who were fans of the original series the proper nostalgia hit, but it also has more than enough laughs for the kids who are entering this world for the first time.

Lively, fun and full of some genuinely endearing magical moments, the new Disney series has the potential of standing just as prominently as its predecessor.

The new series has enough hallmarks of the old to please O.G. viewers and snag new ones. Key to much of the new fun is how exacting Thiele is at suggesting the younger Henrie. He’s a dead ringer for the dad and a fine comedian. Brown has hints of Gomez but she’s blazing her own trail, particularly since we’re not sure where she’s from or why she’s here.

Overall, fans are in for a solid ride in this reintroduction to the world first brought to us by Wizards of Waverly Place.
